"The only reason it wasn’t possible back then was because you weren’t supposed to be capable of it."

Hai’s eyes narrowed.

"It takes a toll on the body."

"But now..."

He breathed out slowly.

"You’re more mature than you were back then."

"The amount of power you can use... it’s far higher."

Rowan’s blue aura rippled softly around him, calm but terrifying.

Hai’s voice dropped.

"I don’t consider you human."

"There’s no way a human can be this strong, especially a kid."

"If you were human, you’d be terrified right now."

"But you’re too composed."

"No fear."

Only confidence.

He paused.

Then he smirked faintly.

"But don’t misunderstand."

"I’m not scared."

"I’m just... surprised."

Both of them slowly descended from the air and landed on the shattered ground, facing each other.

The air between them felt heavy.

Deadly.

Hai lifted his sword again.

This ti, his grip tightened.

His voice dropped.

"The Demon Lord is watching."

His eyes burned with pride.

"I was holding back earlier, but I won’t look pathetic in front of him."

He pointed his blade toward Rowan.

"Watch ."

His aura exploded.

"So this ti..."

"You die."

Hai raised his sword higher.

Then, black energy began pouring into the blade.

Not normal mana.

Not normal aura.

Pure demonic power.

The ground beneath him trembled.

Dark energy started rising from the earth itself, like smoke from hell, spiraling upward and feeding into the living sword.

It crawled over Hai’s arm, wrapped around his hand, and sank into the weapon like it was being absorbed.

Rowan didn’t move.

He simply stared.

"What is that...?" Kosan whispered from the side, trembling.

But Rowan’s expression didn’t change.

"It doesn’t matter."

He raised his own sword.

Blue aura erupted around it, pure and overwhelming, coating the blade like divine fla.

Then, both of them moved.

In the next instant, they rushed forward.

The ground cracked under their feet.

Their speed erased the distance instantly.

And at the sa ti, they swung.

CLANG!!!

Their swords collided.

Lightning-like energy burst around the blades, snapping violently through the air.

Then, it happened.

BOOOOOOOOM!!!

The impact detonated like a bomb.

A massive explosion erupted from the point of contact, tearing through the forest.

Trees were ripped from the earth.

The land itself shattered.

A wide crater ford as the shockwave expanded outward, flattening everything around them.

Branches turned to dust.

Stone broke apart.

Entire sections of the forest were erased, reduced to ashes in an instant.

The blast wave slamd into Kosan.

He was thrown violently backward.

BOOM!!

His back crashed into the ground, his body rolling across the broken earth.

Kosan coughed, blood spraying from his mouth.

He slowly forced himself up, shaking, staring at the battlefield.

"Two monsters..."

His voice trembled.

"This is unbelievable..."

He took a step back.

Then another.

His eyes widened with fear.

"But still..."

"There’s no way Hai can win against that boy."

Kosan’s breathing beca frantic.

He looked around like an animal cornered.

"...There’s no way."

He clenched his fists.

"If he doesn’t open the Demon Realm portal for , then I’m finished."

His eyes turned desperate.

"If I don’t escape now..."

"I’ll face the sa fate."

Kosan turned around.

And ran.

He sprinted through the destroyed forest, stumbling through broken trees and scorched ground.

He kept looking back.

Running.

Looking back.

Running.

His body trembling as fear took over completely.

Kosan kept running.

His breath was uneven.

His body was shaking, but he didn’t stop.

He didn’t dare stop.

The forest behind him was still trembling from the clash between Rowan and Hai.

That wasn’t a battle he could survive being anywhere near.

Not anymore.

But then, a massive shadow dropped in front of him.

BOOM!!

The ground cracked.

Kosan froze.

A huge beast stood there, its body radiating divine pressure.

Its eyes were sharp, cold, and rciless.

A divine beast.

Fenrir.

Kosan’s eyes widened.

"What...?"

Fenrir stepped forward slowly, blocking his path completely.

Then Fenrir spoke, his voice deep and calm.

"Where do you think you’re going?"

Kosan clenched his teeth.

"Get out of the way," Kosan snapped. "I don’t have ti for this!"

Fenrir didn’t move.

"I won’t."

Fenrir’s gaze sharpened.

"I’ve been watching from afar."

He lowered his head slightly.

"You are my master’s prey."

"So you can’t escape."

Kosan’s veins bulged.

"How dare you?"

He raised his hand.

"Shut your mouth and move unless you want to kill you."

Fenrir didn’t even flinch.

"Oh really?" Fenrir said.

"If you were still at full strength, you might’ve been able to defeat ."

"But not now."

Kosan’s expression twisted with rage.

"You bastard!"

He lifted his palm.

A weak dark fla ford, flickering violently.

Then he threw it.

"DIE!"

The dark fla shot forward.

But Fenrir dodged effortlessly, slipping to the side like it was nothing.

Kosan’s eyes widened.

Then, Fenrir moved.

In one instant, he lunged forward.

CRUNCH!!

Fenrir’s jaws snapped shut around Kosan’s body.

Kosan scread as sharp teeth pierced into his flesh, squeezing tighter, crushing his ribs.

Blood poured.

Kosan’s hands trembled as he tried to form another spell.

But Fenrir didn’t give him ti.

He clenched harder.

Kosan’s eyes widened in panic.

"L-Let go...!"

Fenrir’s voice was calm.

"Co with ."

He turned his head slightly, dragging Kosan like prey.

"Let’s go."

Kosan’s vision blurred.

His body went limp.

And Fenrir began running.

Back at the battlefield...

Rowan and Hai were still clashing.

Their swords scread with every impact.

The forest around them was already ruined.

Trees were collapsing.

The earth was broken.

Then, a massive gust of wind surged in from the side.

Rowan’s eyes shifted.

He sensed it instantly.

Fenrir’s aura.

And then Fenrir arrived.

BOOM!!

Fenrir landed behind Rowan and dropped Kosan’s broken body onto the ground.

Kosan slamd down, coughing blood.

Fenrir stepped forward and lowered his head respectfully.

"Master."

"Your prey was trying to escape."

Rowan’s gaze fell on Kosan.

Then he smiled slightly.

"Good."

He turned his eyes back toward Hai.

"Good thing you didn’t let him escape."
