Chapter 358: Chapter 359: What Man Lets His Woman Drive the Carriage
Su Yan frowned again. “You can’t go on like this. Your body won’t be able to take it. Why don’t I drive the carriage while you go inside and rest?”
Although she had never driven a carriage, she had seen it done often enough and should know how to do it.
Chu Yuxiao shook his head with a smile. “You go inside and have sothing to eat. I’m not tired. Even if I stayed awake for several more nights, it wouldn’t matter.
Rest assured, I won’t overexert myself. Besides, what kind of man would let his own woman drive the carriage?”
As he spoke, his eyes continually glistened as they watched her, making Su Yan embarrassedly blush.
Seeing that he was still in good spirits, Su Yan didn’t argue with him anymore.
“If you love driving that much, then drive on.” She glared at him reprovingly and shrank back inside the carriage.
Inside the third cabinet on the left of the carriage, there was indeed food.
Two greased paper packages.
Su Yan took them out and opened them; one contained warm buns, and the other was beef in sauce.
Eating the soft buns, Su Yan’s heart grew sweeter and sweeter.
How wonderful, they were together again…
After a day on the road, they camped outdoors for the night.
That night, Chu Yuxiao set up the tent, and Su Yan also went in to sleep.
Lying in the cramped tent, Su Yan, leaning against Chu Yuxiao’s chest, smiled and said,
“Last ti, you really scared to death.”
Chu Yuxiao also thought of that night’s incident, holding her and laughing,
“If I hadn’t scared you like that, would you have admitted that you loved ? And how else could I have tricked you into making that promise?”
Su Yan punched his chest lightly and propped up her head to look at him, saying,
“But I really was frightened, and I even thought I had done sothing to wrong you…
It made feel guilty and anxious, to the point where I couldn’t sleep well at night…”
Suddenly, Chu Yuxiao’s smile faded. He grabbed her hand, and his eyes burned intensely as he looked at her and solemnly said,
“Don’t worry. As long as I am here, no one but can touch you!
You don’t have to be afraid or feel guilty. Moreover, it was I who forced you back then, so I should be the one apologizing to you, not you thinking that you did sothing to wrong .”
Su Yan bit her lip and looked down in thought before saying, “Don’t ever scare like that again.”
