Annette said over the phone, “Zi Yi, since you don’t want to walk around the university, do co out for afternoon tea. I’ll show you around my house.”
Annette was already an adult and she had a place of her own outside the palace. The house she ntioned was the one outside.
Zi Yi had nothing on in the afternoon and so she agreed.
Annette’s place was not far away from the palace. It was located in a famous lakeside area with gorgeous scenery. Her villa was just right beside the lake. In front was a wide lawn and at the back was where the lake flowed. There was also a house constructed on the lake and beside the house were two speedboats.
Annette brought Zi Yi to tour around her house before she pointed at the other houses.
“Those who live in the vicinity are all my cousins. Across the lake is a huge theater. Whenever there is a performance held there, it’s very convenient for us to head there and listen to the performance.”
“This is indeed a nice place.” Zi Yi nodded her head.
Annette was delighted by Zi Yi’s praise. She got the maid to set up the table and chairs by the lake. The tables were filled with snacks, fruits, coffee, and scented tea.
Zi Yi took a sip of the rose tea and she suddenly had the urge to have so milk tea.
Annette had coffee. After she took a sip, she asked, “Zi Yi, do you want to have coffee? I was worried that you wouldn’t like it so I prepared you so scented tea instead.”
“No thanks.”
Zi Yi was not fond of drinking coffee. Even if it slled nice, she still didn’t like it.
Annette said with a smile, “In fact, I am also fond of drinking scented tea compared to coffee. It’s just that it’s refreshing to drink coffee when I’m feeling tired from studying.”
