1031 Has Better Things To Do
Pascal and Bryan stopped in unison.
As they turned to look at each other, the new group of people had already beaten up their attackers and their attackers were now unable to fight back.
Pascal and Bryan watched the scene unfolding before them and looked at each other.
Bryan said calmly, “Zi Yi probably sent these people. How did she know we were in danger anyway?”
Pascal lowered his eyes and pondered. “Perhaps the invisible barrier we encountered yesterday was able to track our GPS coordinates.”
The two of them did not go through the invisible barrier at the sa ti as the rest of the students. However, soone followed up later and made them walk through it telling them it was used to verify and confirm all their personal particulars.
Bryan paused briefly and felt he made sense. Just as he was about to speak, he noticed a painful expression on Pascal’s face. He asked anxiously, “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine.”
Bryan did not believe Pascal at all. The man’s face was clearly pale. He did not notice it previously, but on close scrutiny, he realized Pascal’s clothes were covered with blood.
Bryan frowned. “We need to remove the bullet from your arm. Also, you have lost a lot of blood.”
Pascal was wearing a black loose-fitting shirt. Even though he was bleeding, it was impossible to see how much blood he had lost.
Pascal pursed his lips tightly without saying a word. He wondered if his injury would make him lose the opportunity to go through the third phase of testing.
anwhile, the second group of n had finished off their attackers and the man at the lead ca walking towards them.
Situ Feng looked at the two of them and said, “Let send you back to school.”
Bryan hurriedly said, “He’s very badly hurt. Shouldn’t we send him to the hospital?”
“I don’t need the hospital.” Pascal did not like Bryan butting into his matters.
Situ Feng glanced at them and said, “There are dical students among you. Just get one of them to attend to your injuries.”
Bryan frowned. “He has a gunshot wound. He needs treatnt at the hospital. What can a student do?”
“You just have to deal with it.”
Situ Feng gave them no ti and walked toward the end of the street. As he walked, he said, “If you don’t want to die of blood loss, then keep up.”
Pascal followed straight behind Situ Feng.
Bryan was a little worried. He went after Pascal worriedly. “I think you need the hospital. If you leave this to a dical student, you might…”
Pascal cast a cold look at Bryan and said in annoyance, “Stop talking.”
Bryan beca speechless.
Bryan was also annoyed. He was trying to be helpful, but no one cared, so he did not bother talking to Pascal the entire way back.
The car drove straight to tropolis University and pulled up in front of the Futuristic School of Technology.
Two people were waiting at the entrance.
It was Zi Yi and Lu Jingye.
Zi Yi glanced at Pascal and asked Lu Jingye, “Ah Jing, what about the other people? Are you bringing them back?”
Lu Jingye touched the communicator in his ear and replied to her, “They’ll be here soon.”
Zi Yi finally told them, “All the people who passed the second phase of testing were attacked tonight.”
Bryan frowned. “Is this your test?”
“Nope.” Zi Yi scoffed and said, “I have better things to do.”
The mont they heard what she said, the expressions on Bryan and Pascal’s faces changed.
Pascal asked, “Then who did this?”
Zi Yi looked at him intently without saying a word.
Pascal pondered briefly and lowered his eyes with his fists clenched. After so ti, he finally said, “Would you believe if I told you I didn’t know anything?”
Bryan was standing beside Pascal. Sothing struck him, so he turned to look at Pascal and frowned. “Were they from Country A?”
Pascal did not go on talking.
Bryan looked at Zi Yi and said, “Pascal is hurt.”
Zi Yi looked at Pascal coldly and said, “I don’t care if you are the culprit. All I can say is that your situation is very sensitive. If we did not save those people in ti, do you know the consequences? Every single person who has passed the second phase of testing would have been killed. Doesn’t it sound insane to you?”
Pascal and Bryan froze in unison.
Zi Yi continued speaking, “As for the culprit, we are quite close to learning the truth but you can’t join the third phase of testing tomorrow.”
Pascal’s shoulders instantly slumped powerlessly. He looked very upset but he did not attempt to defend himself.
Zi Yi continued speaking, “You can choose to return to your country imdiately or stay here.”
Once she was done giving him the options, she stopped talking.
Not before long, all the other attacked students also arrived.
Zi Yi looked at them and asked, “Where are the dical students?”
A few people promptly stepped forward.
“.”
“And …”
…
Zi Yi nodded. She pointed at the faculty building. “There’s an operating theater in the second building. You will remove the bullet and give him treatnt.”
The dical students looked at each other. They were so of the best dical students out there and had interned with their professors previously. Even though they had never physically removed bullets, they were confident that they could handle it. They went toward the second building along with Pascal.

Zi Yi told the remaining people to go to sleep for the night.
Before they left, soone asked, “Zi Yi, what ti is our test tomorrow?”
“In the afternoon.”
The people left after hearing the answer.
After everyone was gone, Situ Feng walked up in front of them and said, “We managed to catch a total of 120 people.”
“Hmph.” Zi Yi said in disdain, “From the looks of it, they have forgotten what happened to them a few months ago. Do they think I don’t know what they’ve been doing? Since they want to die, I don’t mind doing them a favor.”
Lu Jingye held her hand and said, “Don’t be mad. I can send people to handle this. We need to focus on making the cha and spaceship.”
Zi Yi still felt a little annoyed inside. She said, “I’ll send so robots over. We know they are in contact with the worms, so we might as well insert so robots over there.”
“Uh huh.”
Once they were done talking, Lu Jingye said to Situ Feng, “Bring so n with you and take care of these students for the ti being. Yunxiao will reassign you with a new task when he cos back from the base soon.”
“Got it.”

After handling the matter, the two of them went back.
anwhile, in the faculty operating theater.
The dical students managed to finally remove the bullet inside Pascal and bandage him after roughly two hours of surgery.
After everyone was gone, Pascal finally left the faculty.
When the faculty entrance automatically closed behind him, he suddenly halted and turned to look inside. The usual pride on his face was already replaced with dejection.
“Pascal.”
The mont he heard an unexpected voice, he composed himself and looked at Bryan.
“What are you doing here? Are you here to mock ?”
