1021 Don’t Be Nervous
Country A’s intentions were clear. Lu Jingye said, “I think we had better tell the higher-ups about this.”
He took out his phone, dialed a number, and inford the higher-ups about this.
After hanging up the phone, the two of them went ho.
It was already half past ten at night and when they got ho, Second Master Lu was surprisingly waiting for them in the living room.
“Father.”
The two of them greeted him.
Second Master Lu stood up and said solemnly, “The higher-ups called. They wanted to have a eting about it once you got back.”
The mont she heard about the eting, Zi Yi pouted in annoyance. “I’m not going. Your etings are so long. I want to sleep.”
Second Master Lu did not know how to respond. He said, “They knew you wouldn’t want to go, so they agreed to hold an online eting instead. It won’t take much ti. Just an hour at most.”
Since they did not have to attend a eting in person, Zi Yi did not mind.
After the three of them sat on the couch, she activated her virtual screen and joined the eting with the higher-ups.
anwhile, in the highest-level conference room, lots of leaders were sitting inside the room solemnly. Zi Yi promptly said, “Don’t be nervous.”
Her words had a placebo effect on them making the bunch of middle-aged n in the room relax a little.
Zi Yi showed them the auxiliary satellite launched to Saturn by Country A. She said to them, “This satellite is covered with material used for stealth equipnt, so normal radars won’t be able to detect it. They are probably doing it to send a signal to the worms.”
Everyone went quiet for so ti.
In reality, everyone guessed the sa.
The minister of aviation said, “In that case, we have to be prepared. If Country A’s royalty manages to get in touch with the worms, it would spell a catastrophe for the earth.”
Mr. Qin asked Zi Yi, “Little Yi, how much ti do you need to make the spaceship? Why don’t we launch a satellite to stop it?”
“It’s too late.”
Zi Yi replied, “Country A has more advanced aerospace technology. Even if they lost a lot of things, their energy resources are more advanced. It’s impossible for us to stop their satellite. More importantly, all the satellites launched globally were intentionally damaged, so we can’t find the worms at all.”
“Then what should we do?”
“Does this an we are going to stand by doing nothing as they try to get in bed with the worms?”
“No, we won’t.” Zi Yi was very confident. “Even though the satellites launched to the other planets were damaged, the satellites surrounding earth are still intact. If the worms dare to show up here, I’ll personally make sure they will never leave earth.”
Everyone went quiet again.
One of the leaders said, “I doubt the worms dare to co back to earth. If the royalty from Country A wants to communicate with the worms, they probably want to leave the nearby galaxies and find more advanced societies.”
“That’s right.” Zi Yi nodded. “If I’m not mistaken, once Country A establishes communication with worms, they will probably try to convince the worms to give them so advanced tech. When they get what they want, they will take out the other countries first. Once they are done, they will move to more advanced societies with them.”
The royalty from Country A had big ambitions. When they were the most powerful nation, they were accustod to causing trouble. Ever since they were badly weakened, they must be feeling very pent up.
“Hmph!” Second Master Lu was sitting quietly but he finally sneered in a cool tone and said, “In that case, we should talk to the other countries about it. After people learn of their evil intentions, I’m sure they will be happy to combine forces with us and fight them.”
A lot of people agreed with Second Master Lu, but not everyone.
Mr. Qin disagreed. “If we tell all the countries about this, it will only give our enemies the opportunity to prepare. We don’t know where the worms are yet. They might try to communicate with Country A. Why don’t we just get Little Yi to locate their planet before they manage to communicate with each other? That way, we can at least plan ahead.
“We can’t alert the enemy until Little Yi’s spaceship is ready. If the worms manage to find good material on other planets, it will spell trouble for us.”
Everyone felt Mr. Qin was right.
The video eting kept going on until midnight before it ca to an end.
Zi Yi and Lu Jingye went back to the room and washed up. After they were done, they lay in bed. Zi Yi said in annoyance, “These worms are such a bother.”
Lu Jingye embraced her and kissed her forehead gently. “When your spaceship and weapons are ready, we’ll take them out.”
“Uh huh.” Zi Yi buried her head in his chest and said in a stifled tone, “We don’t have enough resources here. Considering the level of tech on earth, the human race will only be able to leave earth and live on other planets in over a thousand years. It all cos down to a lack of resources.”
“We’ll be able to find those resources you want in outer space.”
“Uh huh.”
“Go to bed. We still have to go to the aviation research base tomorrow.”
Country A had now made a move. Zi Yi had intended on staying in the capital for a while, but her plans were foiled. She could only move her plans forward.
Zi Yi pondered as she lay on his chest. She said, “I shall make another space shuttle. That way, we can go to the aviation research base in the dayti and co ho at night. Then we can see the kids every day when we co ho at night.”
It was impractical to bring the kids to the aviation research base. Even if they could bring the kids there, they did not have ti to take care of them.
This was the best solution to the problem. Lu Jingye promptly agreed. “Okay.”
First thing the next morning, Zi Yi and Lu Jingye went downstairs and surprisingly saw Mrs. Lu with the kids already downstairs.
More importantly, the twins were both awake.
Mrs. Lu smiled and said, “The twins are able to recognize people now. At night, they keep waking up to look for you.”
Upon hearing this, Zi Yi and Lu Jingye made eye contact and smiled.
Zi Yi suppressed the joy in her heart. When she walked up to the crib, Guoguo looked happy to see her. She kissed the baby on her cheek before she put on a straight face and said, “You’re still just a baby. What’s wrong with sleeping with your grandmother at night? Stop being picky, okay?”
Lu Jingye also went over to carry Tangtang.
Tangtang grabbed his clothes and looked at his father intently. The expressions on their faces looked very alike. Both of them had a serious aura to them.
Mrs. Lu stood by the side feeling both tickled and annoyed. She said, “When you get bigger, you’ll probably refuse to sleep with altogether. You’re so terrible. To think of all the ti I spend taking care of you.”
Zi Yi finally could not resist laughing out loud.
Mrs. Lu cast a look at Zi Yi and Zi Yi did her utmost to suppress her laughter. “Mom, we will have to spend so ti at the aviation research base from now on.”
Mrs. Lu said in concern, “I thought you could take a break for so ti. Why the sudden change of plans?”

“Sothing happened, so we need to move the plans forward.” Lu Jingye said, “Little Yi will make a space shuttle. From now on, we’ll co back at night.”
Mrs. Lu nodded. “Well, I think that would work. The kids are still young, so you should try to spend more ti with them.”
