1005 Only Wanted to Eat at
Zi Yi and Lu Jingye were stuck in a eting from midday to five o’clock in the evening the mont they went over to the Supre Administration.
When they stepped out of the conference room, Zi Yi was very annoyed. “If I saw this coming, I would have never agreed to co.”
Mr. Qin was walking beside them. He smiled and said, “I didn’t expect the eting to take so long. However, everything we discussed was important and no ti was wasted.”
Only Mr. Qin dared to say this. The people following behind them could not resist laughing.
Zi Yi was a lot younger than them and she was a rare talent in the country. The middle-aged people around her could not resist teasing her.
“Little Yi, you should count yourself lucky. On account of you, we wasted no ti and stayed focused. Usually, this sort of eting would have taken at least two days to finish.”
“Exactly. I feel as though we have yet to discuss a lot of other details.”
“I think we should hold another eting tomorrow.”
The mont Zi Yi heard what they said, she said loudly, “I’m not free tomorrow. Even if you have another eting, I won’t be joining you.”
Her words made everyone burst out laughing.
After walking out of the office building, they headed to their cars.
Mr. Qin suddenly said to Zi Yi and Lu Jingye, “Little Lu and Little Yi, let buy you dinner tonight.”
Zi Yi had an inkling of what Mr. Qin wanted to talk about. She pondered for a while and then agreed. “I like the food from the last restaurant we went to when you bought us dinner. Shall we head there?”
“Ok.”
Since Mr. Qin wanted to dine together with them, Lu Jingye told Second Master Lu about it.
Second Master Lu and Third Master Lu left first.
After they arrived at the restaurant and took a seat, Mr. Qin handed the nu to Zi Yi. “Little Yi, order whatever you like.”
The food at the restaurant was not very expensive and ca in generous servings, so Zi Yi did not hold back when she ordered the food.
The restaurant owner made a recomndation. “The mitten crabs and lobsters are good. Would you like to order so?”
Zi Yi replied, “Yes, please.”
The restaurant owner continued speaking, “We have so free-range ducks as well. Would you like to try one?”
Zi Yi replied, “Yes, please.”
The restaurant owner stopped making recomndations, but Zi Yi continued to tick a few more items on the nu.
Before she could order more food, Lu Jingye took the nu and handed it to the restaurant owner. “A stir-fried pork, two vegetable dishes, and winter lon pork rib soup. That’s all.”
The restaurant owner took note of the order and replied, “One mont please.”
He turned and went to the kitchen.
After the restaurant owner was gone, Mr. Qin smiled as he said to Lu Jingye, “Little Lu, are you worried I can’t afford it? You can let Little Yi order whatever she wants.”
Lu Jingye replied in a gentle tone, “She only wants to eat at.”
Zi Yi poked Lu Jingye’s thigh with her finger under the table.
Lu Jingye grabbed her hand and refused to let it go.
Zi Yi smiled at Mr. Qin. “Isn’t it human nature to eat at? I’m not the only person who likes at, right?”
“Haha! That’s right, but it’s healthier to have a more balanced diet.”
Zi Yi pouted, stopped talking, and tried to wrest her hand free. However, Lu Jingye continued holding her hand tightly, so she could only dig her fingers between his thumb and index finger.
Mr. Qin felt tickled by her reaction. He said, “Well, it’s fine to eat at every now and then.”
Zi Yi was delighted.
Mr. Qin took a sip of tea before he got to the reason for calling them out for dinner.
“Little Yi, how’s Qin Ze doing? Does he have a knack for it?”
He knew his son failed the test and felt miserable.
Fortunately, Zi Yi gave him an even more important mission.
Zi Yi pondered and said, “Qin Ze is pretty good with his hands, but his creativity is confined. I sent him and Little Ming for an intensive three-month training so that they could learn about cutting-edge technology.”
“Little Yi, did you send them to a virtual space as well?”
“You can say so. Everything in the space is virtual. Most of the things inside are technology from the future.”
Mr. Qin suddenly went quiet.
After so ti, he looked at Zi Yi and asked in a serious tone, “Little Yi, are you…”
Initially, he wanted to ask Zi Yi if she belonged to this world. However, he gave up mid-sentence.
Considering Zi Yi’s abilities and actions, he knew the answer even without asking. He simply wanted her to confirm this. However, he realized verification no longer mattered now.
No matter what, Zi Yi was a citizen of the country.
Zi Yi looked at him quizzically.
Mr. Qin smiled. “I have a question. After they are done training, will they be able to create battle cha? Can we really use the technology to fight in space?”
“Uh huh.” Zi Yi nodded. “Stringent demands need to be t in order to operate cha, especially at the ntal level. When the cha is ready, it needs to be linked to the operator’s ntal energy. From then on, the cha can only be used by one person.”
“What kind of people can connect with cha?”
Mr. Qin really wanted to ask if his son was a suitable candidate.
Zi Yi replied, “I’ll have to do more testing. The operators need to be ntally and physically strong.”
Mr. Qin was a little disappointed. He said jokingly, “If I had seen this coming, I would have been tougher with him and sent him for training with Lu Yunxiao.”

Mr. Qin pondered and agreed. All of a sudden, he felt happy for his son.
They chatted briefly before their food was served.
The restaurant owner gave them three pairs of disposable gloves.
Zi Yi put on the gloves and started peeling the lobster.
Lu Jingye and Mr. Qin chatted casually.
Lu Jingye also put on gloves to help Zi Yi peel the seafood.
By the ti dinner was through, it was already past nine o’clock in the evening.
After leaving the restaurant, Mr. Qin asked Lu Jingye before he got into his car, “Little Lu, when are you sending the invite for your brother’s wedding? We’re all dying to go.”
Zi Yi replied, “They’ll be out at midnight tonight. When you wake up tomorrow, just check your phone.”
“Aren’t you going to send printed copies?”

“That’s so passe. This is my job, so I’m going to make sure it’s very special.”
Mr. Qin smiled and said, “I’ll be waiting for the invite then.”
He got into the car and drove off first.
Zi Yi and Lu Jingye also got into their car and Lu Jingye drove with Zi Yi sitting in the front passenger seat. She touched her belly and said, “I’m so full tonight.”
Lu Jingye asked, “Shall we go for a walk before heading back?”
“Where?” Zi Yi’s eyes lit up. “Does this an we are going on a date?”
“Uh huh.”
Zi Yi was delighted. “Sure thing.”
“Let’s go to the seaside. I think it’ll be nice to take a walk at this ti in the evening.”
The mont he finished his sentence, Lu Jingye drove the car towards the seaside.
