The sea churned beneath the swirling clouds as the battle continued in full force, but for Marvilia, a new storm was beginning to brew.

Without warning, glowing red chains erupted from the air around her, moving like serpents seeking to ensnare their prey.

Marvilia's golden eyes narrowed.

With a flick of her wrist, she uttered: "Fuln Vincula Fracta!"

A pulse of raw storm energy erupted from her body, and the crimson chains shattered like fragile glass. The fragnts crackled and dissipated into the air.

Then, she heard it. A familiar voice.

"Ah, Marvilia… long ti no see."

Her breath caught in her throat as she scanned the swirling tempest, her senses heightened, and there he was, standing atop the air itself. The man wore a simple white mask stretched into an eerie, ever-smiling grin. His stance was one of calm, as though the chaos around him ant little.

"...Virellian?" Marvilia murmured under her breath. Her hands clenched, lightning flickering along her fingertips.

The masked man chuckled softly. "I'm glad you still rember ."

Marvilia's gaze hardened. "How could I forget you. But why are you here!? I didn't think we would et like this. We learned from the sa master, so why? Why are you helping them? Why— Our master didn't teach us this."

"Why?" The masked man tilted his head slightly. "Do you really need to ask? The people you fight for, do you think they are saints? No, Marvilia. We are the sa. There is no difference between us."

Marvilia's brows furrowed as he continued, his voice laced with amusent.

"We both have walked paths painted in blood. We have both taken lives in the na of our nations and our causes. But you—" He gestured at her, his voice turning mocking. "You choose to pretend that your hands remain clean."

Her golden eyes darkened like a gathering storm.

"Shut your mouth!" she snapped, her voice steady but cold. "I know what I am doing! But you don't know what you are doing. You've lost yourself."

At her command, the wind howled, and with a flick of her hand, lightning descended, arcing towards the man. But the man was gone in an instant, vanishing into the shadows like a wisp of smoke. Marvilia's eyes darted about, searching for him.

"You are very fast as always," she muttered, sensing him behind her. Before she could turn, he reappeared in the air, hands raised. "Tenebris Vincula!" Several magic circles began to glow with dark power, and from them, thick chains of black magic erupted, aiming for her.

Marvilia twirled in the air, her body moving with the fluidity of a storm. She dodged the chains with ease, but they were relentless, seeking her out with precision. She then clapped her hands together. "Unda Manus Ascendit!"

The sea below obeyed her command. Massive hands of water surged upward, fingers stretching to snatch the masked sorcerer from the sky. But he was already gone, teleporting out of range before the watery limbs could grab hold of him.

"You're still too slow, Marvilia," he taunted.

Without missing a beat, he conjured dark energy into the air. Magic arrows, glowing with malevolent runes, materialized and shot toward her.

They flew with deadly intent, piercing the air with unnatural speed.

"Aegis Noctis!"

A translucent golden shield appeared just in ti, the arrows bouncing harmlessly off the magic shield as though they were nothing more than raindrops.

The man, sensing his attacks had failed, charged at her once more, this ti drawing a long, cursed sword from a shadowed rift in the air. The blade shimred with an eerie light, the tal seemingly pulsing with dark energy. He flew toward her, the sword held high, ready to strike.

Marvilia's mind raced. She had no intention of allowing him to get close. She soared higher, narrowly avoiding the blade's reach. She could feel the intensity of the magic in the sword; it was a weapon forged in darkness, its edge capable of cutting through even the most powerful of barriers.

But Marvilia was no stranger to danger.

She use more magic, the sea responding once more to her will.

"Aqua Spicula!"

The Water twisted into sharp needles, their pointed tips aid directly at the man.

The water needles shot forward in a deadly barrage.

The masked man weaved between them effortlessly, his body a blur. Then with a powerful slash, he dispelled the remaining needles and surged toward her.

Marvilia's eyes sharpened. She knew how deadly he was in close combat.

She propelled herself higher into the sky, rising thousands of feet in re seconds.

The masked man pursued her, his blade glowing with ominous dark magic.

Marvilia halted abruptly, her hands forming an intricate series of sigils. She gathered imnse energy between her palms, crackling with raw power.

"I'm done playing gas," she whispered.

"Orbis Tempestatis!"

A massive sphere of storm energy ford between her hands. It was as bright as a miniature sun, its power warping the air around it.

The masked sorcerer's eyes widened slightly, the first sign of surprise he'd shown.

Marvilia thrust her hands forward.

The energy sphere hurtled toward him at the speed of lightning, its power like a cot, a fury of magic that split the skies.

He barely had ti to react—he twisted sharply, his form flickering out of existence for a split second before reappearing further away.

The sphere continued downward, striking the sea with a cataclysmic explosion.

The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the ocean, causing every ship—Britannian and Latvian alike—to tremble violently. Many ships were also destroyed by its impact, including the ships of Britannia.

A geyser of water hundreds of ters tall erupted into the sky.

It explodes so distance from the LNS Colossal, which damages the Colossal and causes it to tilt to one side, sending sailors and supplies plunging into the sea. Although it does not sink.

A mont of silence.

Then, a low chuckle broke it.

"Very beautiful," he said, his voice almost wistful. "You've grown much stronger than before."

Marvilia hovered, glaring down at him. "So, are you admitting your defeat now?" she asked coldly, her voice firm.

The man chuckled, shaking his head. "Of course not. You'll have to do better than that."

And with those words, the battle resud.
