A hulking figure stepped forward from the rcenaries’ ranks, broad-shouldered, scarred, a tiger-striped cloak billowing behind him.

"You must be Chen Mo!" Mad Tiger, leader of the Black Snake rcenaries, bood with a mocking grin.

"If you know what’s good for you, I advise you to kneel and grovel at my feet! Or I’ll butcher you and feed your carcass to the dogs!"

Mo Tianye, the ever-smiling young man with snow-white hair, stepped forward.

For the first ti, the perpetual curve of amusent vanished from his lips. His expression turned cold, eyes narrowing with genuine annoyance.

"How dare you disrespect the one above the heavens?" he asked softly.

"Shut up while I’m talking. I’m trying to edu—"

Mad Tiger’s words died mid-sentence.

His head was suddenly held aloft by the hair in Mo Tianye’s slender hand.

The rest of his body stood for a frozen heartbeat, then collapsed into a heap of precisely sliced at, thousands of clean cuts blooming red across armor and flesh.

Blood sprayed in a fine mist, pattering against the stone steps.

No one had seen or understood how the man died.

One heartbeat Mad Tiger stood tall, chest puffed with arrogance; the next, his head dangled lifeless in Mo Tianye’s grip, body collapsing into a grotesque pile of precisely sliced at.

"That’s the price you pay for your arrogance," Mo Tianye said coldly, flicking the severed head aside like refuse. It rolled with dull thuds.

"Mad... Mad Tiger is... dead?" one of the rcenaries stamred, staring at the pile of gore in speechless horror.

"Run!!!" another scread, turning to flee.

He made it three steps.

His head slid from his neck in a perfect arc, body crumpling like a discarded puppet.

"Don’t let anyone escape," Chen Mo instructed, voice still calm.

Not a single cultivator had witnessed the strike.

All they felt was the sudden, bone-deep certainty that Chen Mo had done it, without lifting a finger, without even blinking.

He had simply stared, and death had answered.

Mo Tianye reacted first.

He flowed through the ranks like liquid shadow, never pausing, never clashing blades.

Whenever his form blurred past, a head rolled: clean, silent, inevitable.

Blood sprayed in short, hot arcs, painting the stone steps crimson. Screams rose and died in the sa instant.

Xue Tianmo moved next.

Scythe gleaming in his hand, he beca a reaper incarnate.

Unlike Mo Tianye’s surgical precision, Xue Tianmo cleaved bodies in half, waist-level sweeps that parted torsos with wet, ripping sounds.

Intestines spilled onto the ground in steaming coils; halves of n twitched for seconds before going still.

Xu Canghai stood frozen, watching his allies struck down faster than his mind could comprehend.

The air thickened with the coppery reek of blood and the ozone tang of unleashed qi. Cries echoed off the mountain walls, desperate and raw.

Mo Tianye bent at an impossible angle, dodging a rcenary’s frantic swing.

Before the man could recover, his head parted from his neck and bounced down the stairs with dull thuds.

But among the four, the most feared was Tie Kuang.

He used no weapon, only fists. Each blow landed with sickening cracks: ribs shattering like dry wood, skulls bursting under knuckles like overripe fruit, hearts torn free in sprays of arterial blood.

He was a true demon of carnage, his laughter low and guttural as cultivators fled from him in blind panic.

"Ahhhh! Sect Master! Save us!!!"

Xu Canghai heard the cries from all around, disciples he had trained, elders he had commanded, but he could do nothing.

His limbs felt leaden, his sword heavy in his grip.

He could only stand still and watch as his mbers were dismantled, piece by screaming piece.

"Chen Mo!! Enough of this!!" Xu Canghai finally roared, voice cracking with rage and desperation.

He surged forward, targeting the root of the slaughter.

Clang!

His sword t resistance, not from Chen Mo, but from a woman who had appeared between them in an instant.

Su Mingyue, crescent blade gleaming like a sliver of moonlight, blocked the strike effortlessly.

The impact reverberated up Xu Canghai’s arms, jarring bone.

"Urgh!" he groaned, humiliation burning hotter than the pain.

"Get out of my way, you midget!" he bellowed, pouring more qi into the blade, veins bulging in his neck.

But Su Mingyue didn’t budge. Her smile was calm, almost pitying.

"You’ll need more than that to move ," she inford him softly.

"Mingyue," Chen Mo said from behind her, tone casual, as though comnting on the weather, "if he won’t stay out of the way, simply quiet him down by taking his arms."

"What nonsense are you—"

Before Xu Canghai could finish, the world tilted.

His arms were gone.

Severed cleanly at the shoulders, they lay on the blood-slick stone, fingers still twitching.

Hot blood gushed from the stumps in rhythmic pulses, soaking his robes dark.

"You... how?" Xu Canghai stamred, confusion warring with agony.

Chen Mo hadn’t moved. Hadn’t even raised a hand.

"Watch carefully and quietly, Xu Canghai," Chen Mo said, voice low and emotionless.

"This is what it ans to be helpless. Afterward... you will et your end."

Xu Canghai felt the pain explode through his body, white-hot, blinding, but he forced it down, teeth gritted, refusing to show weakness before the man he had once mocked as trash.

He turned slowly.

The sect was already a graveyard.

rcenaries scrambled for safety, tripping over corpses, only to be hunted down and killed like rabid dogs, heads severed, bodies crushed, limbs torn free.

Sect cultivators fled toward the inner halls, seeking refuge behind wards and doors, but the elite four pursued without rcy.

Screams echoed from within, cut short one by one.

Xu Canghai’s knees buckled. He fell to the stone, blood pooling beneath him.

"Chen Mo... put an end to this," he rasped, voice trembling for the first ti.

"My son in the higher realm will descend. If you don’t stop now, he will destroy you once he arrives in this realm."

His final trump card, his last hope.

Chen Mo regarded him with the sa detached pity.

"Good," he said calmly. "Let him co. I have questions to ask him."

Xu Canghai’s hope shattered like glass.

"My Supre," Mo Tianye reported, appearing at Chen Mo’s side, blood dripping from his sleeves, "the last cultivator has been exterminated. None were left behind."

Chen Mo turned back to Xu Canghai, staring down at him like a bug that had just annoyed him.

"It seems it’s your turn to die now."
