Trister’s face went tomato red from being singled out. As they were talking a sound in the background was humming, from the looks of it, it was warming up as it started and a very low pitch. WHen Alex looked over he saw an interesting contraption,

’From the looks of it, it was the closest thing humans could co to creating a treasure. All the components were there.

And working perfectly, but that sound it made assured him the energy used here wasn’t dinsional based, so they could be using the án energy generator that converts into dinsional energy’

"That is an interesting... treasure... should I say treasure? I’ll call it psudo-treasure. Is this what we will be using for the long distance jump?"

Bruce ca forth, confidence filled in his chest but his face held almost zero interest in anything happening in the world.

"That would be correct. It just need a few more seconds to charge up for the journey

In response Alex nodded, he walked forth to check the structure. Two pillars of stone held in place with interesting sigils written on them, Around them were the quartz protruding from the ground then there was one that went way up through the roof. Around it were the interesting unknown tals used for creating treasures.

He then turned around to face his new team. He started by clearing his throat. Which caught their attention.

"Ï believe you already know the dinsion we will be headed towards. And you know the rules of that world and how it affects all living beings in that dinsion"

Everyone nodded.

"So we might need to go either early or late. And most importantly, we have to make sure we do not accidentally jump in with another Jumper. Things might get bad"

As he said that he looked at Trister and saw that she was wearing the old eyewear the jumpers used to wear. He quickly extended his hand towards her. Which got her confused at first. When he pointed at her eyes, she finally understood what he was talking about.

The rest of the team were wondering what he was planning to do with them. The mont he touched them a prompt ca to live before him.

Equipnt Detected, Do you wish to equip it?

He proceeded to answer yes. Then chaos energy erged from his hand, like a sinkhole they slowly sunk in. From their perspective it was as though Alex had released dark flas and the eyewear was lting.

"Wha... Hey what are you doing, do you know how hard it is to find Jumper eyewear? That is the only gear I can use to run fast and it won’t get damaged"

Alex looked at her, he then checked his equipnt panel. And there they were.

Due to interference, the material used has been upgraded, and gained self restore.

His mouth curved into a smile when that prompt ca to life. This week he has been experinting with so many things. One thing he realised is that whenever he equips sothing. The system seems to realise that they are broken or infected by so kind of foreign energy then proceeds to upgrade them with materials which are adaptive.

So in theory, Trister could use this eyewear in all dinsions she visits and they will work like they are new. And the best part is, the equipnt uses the jumper’s Mystica as energy source so she wouldn’t have to worry about finding a power source

When Trister saw him smile despite her precious glasses lting, she got triggered. Her eyes furrowed, she was about to call upon her Mystica. Suddenly she saw the glasses return back into Alex’s hands. And they seed different sohow, the design is more sleek and organic than the first one. The material wasn’t tal. When she extended her hand to take them. They felt rubbery, more closer to human skin.

Unequip?

He said yes, the mont he said yes, the glasses morphed, before they appeared to be in a shape that could fit Alex’s eyes perfectly. Now they appeared more neutral.

"Try them on"

Alex said, seeing that she is this staring without reacting. Just as she was about to put them on. They quickly jumped off her hand and onto her face. The action scared her a bit that she fell down.

"What did you do to her?

Bruce asked with an authoritative voice. No more was his alertness from before. He walked right at Alex, just as the two were about to touch, a hand ca and stopped him. When he looked down, it was Trister. This ti she was different, unlike before when the glasses were bulky and covered half her face, now they appeared more slick, covering her face perfectly as if she was born with them.

"So how do they feel"

Alex asked with a smile. Bruce looked at him with a little bit of hostility left in his eye.

"Thi... Wha... Just how, how did you make them work again, this brings so much nostalgia. I can now see my level, I don’t have to take out that ugly communicator again to check it. And I can see that I can read books here. It is as though I have a computer on my face. Ow my good this b..back mories."

She started to get emotional as she spoke, lots of mories flooding her mind, She was still a child back then. She wasn’t even a Jumper. Her friends, family and neighbours are all gone.

She got a prompt on her eyewear screen.

Detected a Solid state Drive in the lot, do you wish to connect with it?

When she saw that her eyes grew bigger. This was the reason she was ready to fight Alex, the mory card from her old phone. She took it out when the phone died and inserted it into the eyewear as a safe keep. She knew she might not see them again, but the thought of the files being there gave her security.

Bruce and Marcel saw her freeze up. Her breathing quickened .

"Hey... Trister are.."

Just as Marcel was about to ask, she imdiately jumped and hugged Alex. He was surprised by the sudden action, but he could tell sothing happened for her to act this way.

"Thank you, thank you so much. I thought I’d never get to see the faces of my family ever again. This ans a lot"

As she was expressing herself, the pseudo-treasure alerted them that it was ready. Everyone quickly tensed up but quickly got back to relax.

"Ok, one more thing. Be careful when you get to the camp. The jumpers there are too egotistic and arrogant. They see us people from small settlents as weak and unworthy. So brace yourself, you should also be careful whom you get into an altercation with. Lots of fighters there are kids from wealthy families. They are either too strong or have strong backers"

Bruce gave them that warning before he opened a portal and they all jumper in

Ïn a darkroom, a round table was placed in the middle, one light source coming in straight from the top of the table and focused on the red table which splashed a faint reddish light all around the place. Around this one room were figures capable of destroying the entire underworld.

They were the 12 Demon Kings. Entities whose nas bring fear to an entire world just on na alone.

"Cassandra Moonfell, you have gathered us all here on the account that a corrupted has been found. Location Ethia but specific coordinates unknown, Am I correct?"

A Demon King with a voice to shatter mountains spoke, its voice alone made the already eerie room feel like a dungeon of calamity level beats. All heads quickly turned toward a demonetress wearing clothing that left little for the imagination. They were all high level demons, they could see everything as if dayti and the sun was hung up high.

When they saw her, sitting there, her long legs crossed and what appeared to be a cigarette in her hands. They couldn’t help but gulp saliva, Only God knew what they had in store of their minds.

"That would be correct Demon King Garaga, since the decedent of my family was able to send a ssage that long, even got a chance to send it, I would guess the Demonic fallen angel is still quite week, if I had to take a guess he should be around type 7 to 9."

Her words made the room shift, the tense mood was lessened a bit. It was as though they expected a forest fire only to be told of a camp fire. With their strength, a simple breath is all they need to bring the abomination to its knees.

Garaga saw the lax mood the room took. Veins on his neck beca visible.

Bang!

His hand hit the round table, attracting the attention of all the demons there.

"You all behave as though the thread isn’t worth your attention. Mind I remind you the corruption’s growth is unimaginable, and to make things worse, he is in a world currently inaccessible to us. Do you really think he would be foolish to leave such a safe haven for his growth and seek death?"
