As if made of wax and molded into the bizarre creature that it is now, even with the guts out there is no sll or recognition, the once organs ashen looking as re ropes now add to the picturesque image, a sculpture made of flesh and bones.

And yet how can I hit it any deeper than that with the uncertainty of where Ethan truly is... and killing him with my own hands would be devastating, even if accidentally, but on the other hand I did not have ti for a surgical search, especially not kin of doing it either while the thing is ’alive’ in the process.

"Ethan! Where are you?!" That’s when it cos to , after looking and shouting, a tingle of his energy, a feeling for the presence I’ve grown so used to over the years, as easy to recognize as the steps of a very own person on the hallways.

And this energy, even if fluctuating, even with bits of fiery taste to it, spices up more on my nose as I finally find him on the side of the creature, amongst its bubbly deford skin as it tries to absorb him within its goopy lted skin bubbling up much as the ones from the room we were at before, the texture coming better to view when I can identify skulls and bones prickling its bumpy side.

"No way... Ethan!" For a second worry clouds my thoughts and all I can think of is his half body already sucked inside the creature’s side, under the substance and probably already lted away, piece by piece dissolved and gone.

But I turn that despair into anger and action as I typically react to these situations, not exploding in anger like most, but freezing my heart up into a block of frost that burns more than fire itself, hardening the grasp around my Ice sword I slide through the air with expertise, strong wings busting to not only dodge the whale’s attacks but to twist and turn in the air as fast as possible towards him, using my own weight to my advantage as I close my wings for speed and half open then to direct my fall.

And now, without reservations and with him in my line of sight I`m finally able to give this beast a proper treatnt, and at the sound of its clashing jaw closing with a clang I push myself out of the way like an eagle, but not too far as to lose the chance of, with a clean long slice, cut the whale’s monster huge fin that falls down like the dead weight it is.

With all its fins the creature already had difficulty stirring and keeping itself afloat with the fog’s reach restricted, but now with a big one lost it starts spinning around out of control, dipping its nose down and rotating while it tried to keep its bearings, but like a fly with one wing it just wouldn’t work.

So while it worked for by stopping the whale’s attacks, once I reach Ethan’s side we end up spinning together with the creature and I have to completely focus on the task at hand and right in front of so I would get motion sickness with the word swirling all around us.

Another great thing conquered from my years of training flying and dodging midair is that I am used to the world moving too fast and all around while moving with speed in the air, so much so that I got used to it to the point of avoiding getting motion sick just by going around like this, especially with an easy point to focus on while actually not having to move at all.

So once I am knees deep beside Ethan I shorten my Ice sword into a dagger and start digging the monster’s flesh out from around him, the goopy substance giving in quite nicely as any hard part is frozen up to be broken into tiny pieces next.

Everything happens fast afterward.

The mont that I feel my Blizzard magic reaching its limits as it is hungrily drained by the strange force at work in here, the sa ti as we reached the floor at full speed and head first, is the sa ti that I finally pull Ethan out of the substance and with little to no ti warp my hands around his arms and shoulder I open my wings as a parachute and let the force of the wind push us up in the air once more.

But that is the mont that my magic chooses to fail and already very tired as is by not only using and abusing my own magic I have to hold Ethan tight as we are once more through riding to the storm, the fog spreading and extending with a hungry vengeance.

I close my wings around us to act as a protective shield, embracing us through the storm, at the sa ti hearing a familiar yet oddly placed voice coming robotically in my brain, saying the words that I expected the most and yet at a more opportune ti.

Ding – Experience gained from slaying Whale Mutation

Ding – Level up

Ding – A new evolution available

Seems that I managed to kill the whale with the fall, gaining a lot of experience from it, enough to finally reach level 50, enough to finally be able to choose from the many possible outcos of my evolution and to get rid of this Dainty Griffin thing.

And yet nothing is as easy as that.

While I’m glad to finally et another threshold and be able to get even stronger by making the best decision among the options available, now is definitely not the right ti for it, after choosing one option, I would mostly pass out for a while as the changes take hold.

And that would leave us both exposed to the dangers this place, easy prey in enemy territory.

So I hold on tight and without ti to look I brush it aside, even when warning bells starts ringing in my head.

Ding – Warning, withholding your evolution may cause serious damage.

Ding – Warning...

By the ti I whip our way out of the foggy storm that ringing is as part of my pain as the bruises and hits took not only from all the attacks in this place, but the drained out magic that, like pushing oneself too hard, is demanding its cost altogether.

Without much option, however, I have to stretch my limits even further, even if it ans causing permanent damage to myself for doing so... And I can only hope Ethan is well to live through another day.
