"Ah... that’s really a problem..."

I looked at the huge gate that the guiding light led us to. It didn’t have a lock, but instead, it had a huge hole that took the shape of a perfect sphere.
In front of it, there was a muscled golden golem standing in front of it with a glowing orb on its chest.
Hell, I didn’t even know till now that golems could be built with muscles. Wasn’t that a waste?
It was holding a golden shield in its right hand, as if ready to protect the gate with all ans.
"We can’t just sit here forever, we need to find a way to pass quickly." Celestina whispered, her voice filled with urgency.
"Maybe I can... distract it with ne soul." I suggested with so hesitation in my voice, unsure if it could work.
"Maybe you can try to make it focus on your soul, then I will use my key to let us pass through the gate before it reaches us. It’s the perfect ti to use this thing."
I thought for a mont before nodding to Andrea. It seed possible enough.
I focused my consciousness on my soul that was in the parrot form.
With a rapid speed, I flew towards the golem while covering myself in darkness.
It was a trick I learnt after using the skill book. I could now channel my aura through the soul threads and enhance my soul anyti.
*CRACK!*
My mouth pierced the golem’s head and started decaying it.
The golem suddenly noticed and raised its colossal hand trying to catch , but I flew away quickly with a piece of gold in my mouth.
Without any change on its face, the golem followed . Its heavy steps were shaking the ground, swinging its arm and shield to catch , and turning its back to the gate it was protecting.
"Now." Andrea whispered as he ran to the gate with the key in his hand.
We followed him quickly, and I stumbled on my steps many tis while following, but Maxwell and Celestina helped each ti.
It wasn’t easy to control 2 bodies at the sa ti. The people with abilities similar to cloning should be seeing a real hell.
The mont we reached the gate, Andrea put the key instantly.
A glowing, blue door started forming while draining his mana, and now all we had to do was wait.
Andrea started sweating heavily while murmuring: "Co on. Co on!"
All of a sudden, a surge of sharp, intense pain hit .
I fell on my knees and closed my mouth with my hands, stopping my scream from coming out.
That damn golem just crushed into pieces! I didn’t even have ti to switch to my spectral form.
I looked at Maxwell and Celestina who were looking at with concern and muttered: "It’s... coming..."
*BAM!*
The golden golem turned around and stared at us, then it started moving slowly towards us.
"Fuck! Andrea! Hurry up!" Maxwell yelled nervously at him, his hands shaking unconsciously.
Andrea didn’t reply, he simply stared at the key as it drained more and more mana from him.
*Click*
A soft click sound ca out, then, the door that Andrea was making opened.
"Go! Go!"
In an instant, we entered through the door.
We were t by an ethereal, blue tunnel that was leading to another door.
We didn’t know how long this tunnel would stay, so we quickly ran towards the door.
"Phew, that was a horrible experience." Andrea chuckled as he put the key in the door’s lock.
*Click*
Another soft click, and the door opened.
Imdiately, we left the tunnel, which closed the mont all of us left.
’So, it stays until we leave. Good.’
Sighing in relief, I turned around to scan my environnt, but just then...
*BAM!*

I froze in my place... stunned — unable to believe what just happened, or the scene in front of .
It all happened so quickly that I couldn’t process it.
Feeling the blood on my face, I lowered my head slowly. My teeth and eyes trembled at the horrifying scene.
Andrea...
He was pinned lifelessly on the ground by a great hamr. His body had been turned into a ss of blood, flesh, and bones.
My gaze landed on his face, the sa bright face I used to see for more than 2 months, was now soaked in blood with his eyes suspended out of their sockets.
"I...why...a..." I opened my mouth multiple tis, but each ti, only random words would co out.
I finally raised my head and looked at what caused this.
Holding a long hamr was a golden knight, but unlike all the knights we fought before — this one stood on more than 4 ters, wearing heavy golden armor and holding its hamr with 4 hands.
Once my grey eyes and its burning green eyes t, a sudden, intense heat filled my entire body.
*BOOM!*
Before I could react, Maxwell threw a bunch of eggs at the knight, making it stumble and fall on its back.
Maxwell’s tears kept flowing out of his eyes, and his veins were visible from anger.
"You... YOU! HOW DARE YOU!" Maxwell shouted as he charged at the knight and hit it with a barrage of heavy swings.
I bit my lip until it started bleeding and rushed towards the knight.
But suddenly, the knight released a sudden shockwave of mana, throwing all of us back.
At that mont, my eyes landed on its chest, and saw the grey core inside of it.
’Damn! It has a mana core!’
Suddenly, a golden light covered and Maxwell, filling us with great power.
Then, Celestina cast another spell that healed all of our wounds, and finished it with her new golden barrier.
Thanking her in my head, I turned around and looked at the knight that had just stood up.
I enhanced my entire body with Darkness and took my soul out of my body.
Gritting my teeth, I made my decision.
It was either or that damn thing today! I could never leave it alive after what it did.
’Just wait until I put my hands on your soul, bastard!’
