Slling a familiar calm scent, I woke up from my sleep.
’Oh, my glowing roommate is here. At least I have slept for a few hours.’
A sigh escaped my mouth as my dream of sleeping peacefully vanished from my mind.
The Tower of Honor had 10 floors, with only the 6 on the top were given to the top 10 students.
The top 1 and 2 would get an entire floor for each one, leaving the remaining 4 floors for the other 8 students to share.
Arthur had the floor on the top, Zephyr had the one after it, and for the next floor, the 3rd and 4th ranked students would share it.
In other words, I was now stuck with Selene.
This academy didn’t care about gender. If soone tried to assault the other, they would simply face a huge punishnt.
And well, those roommates would be the top students in combat mastery! It was almost impossible for one of them to overwhelm the other anyway.
"What...? Ah... Ray!"
Selene suddenly scread my na loudly. Confused, I was ready to teleport to her, but suddenly, the bedroom door opened, revealing the moon-like glow of Selene.
It was as if the moon left the sky and decided to enter my dark room. Lightening up the entire place.
Selene was still wearing the white dress from the banquet, but now, she was in a form that I had seen only once since eting her.
She had a pair of silvery-white horns and a pair of sharp draconic wings. The difference now was the long tail in her back which ended with a spear-like tip.
She scanned from the head to the toes with visible panic.
Imdiately, I teleported beside her ignoring the light that hit my eyes.
"What happened? Why did you scream?" I asked while scanning the living room. But I didn’t see anything strange on it.
"I-I saw your blood..."
"...Oh." I finally relaxed after understanding the problem.
I patted her head lightly. "I was testing the window durability, nothing big. Thank you for your concern."
Selene frowned. "Did you hurt your hand just to test this?"
"...."
I scratched my neck. "...Maybe."
"I understand Aria now..." Selene sighed as she began to scan the room.
Once her eyes landed on the only bed in the room, she froze. "O-Only one?"
I teleported to the bed and chuckled. "I’m actually surprised that your father let you co here with a male roommate. Weren’t you living in your father’s suite?"
Selene shook her head. "He didn’t accept, but I convinced him in the end."
She then looked at her dress. "Ah... I’ll go change my clothes and explore the suite. I will end quickly!"
*BAM!*
As she left the room, my gaze landed on my own clothes.
The usual night terror outfit: Black long boots, black pants, black high collar, long black coat, and black gloves.
’I forget to change this before sleeping. I’m not in the streets anymore."
My clothes began to move like a living creature until my outfit changed into simple shorts and a black t-shirt.
I looked to my left. Glutton was lying in the middle of the bed while staring at sharply.
"What?"

Selene, wearing pyjama shorts and crop tank top, jumped at the bed in an instant.
"It’s better than my father’s bed!" Selene said happily as she extended her large wings.
’Kyle is definitely killing .’ I sighed as I moved my head away from her sharp wing edge.
"Oh, sorry." Selene apologized, then her right wing turned into silver light and disappeared.
Her left wing, horns, and tail stayed without a change.
My eyes lit up as I looked at her. "You can control your draconic parts now? I thought you were using an artifact."
Selene turned to the side and looked at with a smile. "Yes, I can control them, make them phase through clothes,’’ She moved her tail and used it to touch my shoulder. "And I got a tail!"
I nodded at her before looking at the ceiling.
I was genuinely happy that she could now hide her real race without an artifact or... turning into a cat.
Though the demons knew about her existence, she could still live between the Eldorians as a normal Exalted like this.
"....!"
All of a sudden, Selene grabbed my hand and put it on her cold head.
I was going to pull it back, but seeing Selene’s smile, I decided otherwise.
’So old habits of being a cat?’

I sighed inwardly before shifting my gaze to my bracelet.
I opened it and moved to Zephyr’s chat. There were many unread ssages.

Zephyr: Open the missions and look at the red area mission.
Zephyr: Impregnating a whore would reward you with 50k EC! Damn, it’s basically having fun and getting paid!
Zephyr: I’ll do one tomorrow.

I rotated the screen slightly, ensuring that Selene wouldn’t see anything, then answered him calmly like usual.

I sighed in relief after finally convincing him, then out of... cough... curiosity. I opened the missions to check sothing.

’Damn, that’s too much.’
So missions had a fixed reward, and so missions gave specific rewards depending on who completed them.
For example, the guard mission depended on the student’s combat ranking. If it was Selene, she would have got more.
Then cos the impregnation mission.
Zephyr had a unique affinity, a strong trait, and soul-bound artifact, therefore, his reward was that high. Of course, it could have been higher if he showed his lineage.
And for , I had 2 traits, 2 soul-bound artifacts, a special variant of lightning, a mutant wind and the rare space. Of course I’d be more valuable than Zephyr!
There was also an additional thing that increased our values. It was the aether core.
From what I had heard, the governnt and the kingdoms didn’t find a way to make a child inherit an aether core, but, there was still sothing special about it.
There was never, not even once in the past years, a person with an aether core that got a child with mana core.
In other words, an aether core always ant a guaranteed Exalted!
[At least my siblings wouldn’t be weak.] Glutton suddenly cut my thoughts off.
I ignored him as my gaze fell on Selene unconsciously. I couldn’t help but look at her with concern.
Seeing her smile and rembering her reaction after piercing soone’s stomach, she looked... innocent.
Too innocent for this world. Too innocent for her own good. She almost died when she was young, yet, she still couldn’t hurt anyone seriously. Kyle Lunaris spoiled her too much.
I called her softly. "Selene."
"Hm?"
Patting her head, I smirked. "Let’s go to the forest tomorrow. We will have so fun and earn so EC."
Too many people died because they couldn’t kill when it was necessary. I wouldn’t let Selene end this way.
To survive in this world, she had to change.
’Screw you, Kyle Lunaris! I’ll fix her... starting from tomorrow!’
