The white-haired swordsman I t this afternoon! The entrance was exactly like an elf’s!
"Mr. Dill, I need a glass of water with ice."
The white-haired girl sat down on the other side of Saili and gulped down the water.
The heroic maiden who had been catching rats in the granary all afternoon once again questioned her life’s purpose while running errands.
"Lina?"
"Miss Lureya?"
"Did you go on errands again?"
"Yes... What about Miss Lureya?"
"I heard they have free waterlon juice here at night, so I ca over."
"Mr. Dill, I’ll take three glasses with ice."
The boss, Dill, who was wiping the glasses, quickly turned his head: "Sorry, but that’s not happening!"
"By the way, Miss Lureya, I should be able to bend under a 45 cm rope now."
"Have you been busy with such things recently? o(゚Д゚)っ!"
Are they chatting over my head now?
Caught between the blonde elf and the white-haired hero, the magical girl awkwardly shifted.
But thinking about having to live in this village for a bit longer, if she could form good relationships with them, she’d easily gather more information.
The black-haired girl removed her hood and finally decided to chi in.
"Hi, you two."
The elf and the hero were stunned for a mont.
"You’re the one who stood behind this afternoon, sneaking peeks at little ○○!"
Lina was the first to react.
"No, that’s you!"
Saili quickly retorted.
"Lina, be polite when you et soone for the first ti. Mages often have quirky hobbies."
"Haha, I told you, it wasn’t . Compared to , this village is full of strange things!"
Saili’s eyebrows furrowed.
She found herself, usually unmoved by anything, unable to maintain her calm emotions, almost breaking her gentle persona in just a few words with them, quickly adjusting her mind to regain composure.
"Are you a mage from Fata?"
Lureya noticed the tower-shaped emblem on Saili’s chest, showing so surprise.
"I am Saili. I just arrived in this village."
The black-haired girl smiled slightly.
The tavern was nearing closing ti; there were no villagers left, and the three girls went to a square table in a corner.
After a simple self-introduction, the three of them roughly understood the current situation.
White-haired Hero Lina: My goodness! It’s a mage girl from Fata, a big shot that every adventure group competes to have!
Magical Girl Saili: So one left the village to beco a hero, and the other ca from the Elf Forest traveling the continent as an Elf Ranger? They t by chance in this village and beca friends. The combination of an elf and a hero is unexpectedly eye-catching.
Tablet Spirit Lureya: Oh no! t soone really traveling the continent! When asked where I’ve been, I can’t say anything! (sweating)
"Is Miss Saili going to rest here for a few days?"
Lina looked at Saili with shining eyes.
A high-value, gentle-type, black-haired girl in a mage’s skirt, she’s basically the perfect mage I imagined co to life.
Gentle and calm, stepping forward to chant magic spells without hesitation and protecting teammates safely during dangerous monts of the team.
The white-haired girl who had soloed a demon king for a year and a half had always hoped for such a partner along the way.
But by the ti she returned to the village, she was still alone.
"Yes."
Saili nodded.
"Isn’t it dangerous for a magical girl to be outside? Maybe they’ll be caught by bad guys if not careful."
Lureya looked at Saili with concern.
"I have an elf friend who sneaked out of the Elf Forest, was caught by bad guys, but fortunately, smartly escaped."
"Miss Lureya need not worry; I’m confident in my own strength." Saili smiled calmly, "A magical girl’s wrath can be very frightening."
This magical girl seems rather powerful.
Lureya felt inner astonishnt.
"I an no harm. But if your friend were smart, they wouldn’t have been caught by bad guys. Even if they were caught, they’d have no useful value," Saili said calmly.
What appeared to be a simple statent hit the golden-haired elf directly in her heart.
"Yes, yes..."
The elf girl hesitated for a mont, retreated slightly, and fell silent.
The three girls chatted for a while with very surface-level matters, and Saili dared not probe too deeply to avoid suspicion.
After the tavern closed, the three walked toward the inn.
Midway, the elf secretly disappeared into the night.
At the inn, Saili found a suite to stay in. Although on the sa floor as Lureya and Lina, it was quite far apart.
Successfully checked in.
The next step was to start looking for the demon king.
...
The golden-haired elf did not return to her room imdiately but, under cover of night, ran to the outside of a villager’s house, waiting for a certain villager to appear.
Sure enough, the villager showed up.
"Shami..."
The golden-haired girl stopped Shami, who was heading out to pick tomatoes at night.
Shami, despite being a demon king, was also a good villager, wasn’t he? How could he not care for his own fields? A villager who doesn’t pick his crops when they mature must be hiding sothing.
"Oh, it’s you, the elf big sister who used a stomach ache as an excuse to leave early and never ca back."
