The two, one in front of the other, quickly arrived in front of a small hill with a protruding side, which had an entrance.

The Elf Maiden’s Underground City was crafted beneath the surface, truly deserving of the na "Underground City."
After entering, they quickly reached a circular space, where eight different passageway entrances appeared before them.
Shami examined his surroundings, while the Elf Maiden chose the entrance on the far right and pulled Shami forward.
Frowning, Shami observed, though he couldn’t see any traces of chanisms in the surroundings. Since the Elf Maiden was so confident, there must be so details he’d overlooked.
You can’t be a good demon king if you can’t see the traps ticulously designed by the Demon Envoy.
This space, both round and square, and these eight difficult-to-choose entrances... could it be!
Shami’s eyes gradually widened as he looked at the Elf Maiden in shock.

"Could the one on the far right be the gate of life and the others gates of death?"

The soil above the passage loosened rapidly, collapsing with a cloud of dust, quickly burying the two in dirt, while the light from above the woods shone into the passage.
The prepared energy shield protected them, and inside it, the Elf Maiden crossed her arms.
"This is the first trial of the Elf Underground City! Since you’ve co to explore the Underground City, adventurers must be prepared to be buried by collapsing soil at any ti!"
"To put it bluntly, it’s just poor engineering quality, Lureya! So that’s why you were fixing such defects earlier? This isn’t just a small issue that can be covered with whitewash; this is a major safety hazard that demands sincere apologies!"
Shami suddenly understood why the Elf Maiden had been patching things up earlier.
"You could just say whether adventurers will co or not!"
The Elf Maiden persisted stubbornly.
"It’s hard to say if this kind of one-ti Underground City, where adventurers might perish due to accidents, can last a month even."
Shami sighed, still hoping, as he looked at the Elf Maiden.
"Let’s go on. If other trials are designed well, at most we’ll build another Underground City elsewhere..."
A slight sweat appeared on the Elf Maiden’s face.

The two continued walking without a word.
Soon, there was a dirt wall ahead in the passage.
