The Demon Realm has gradually beco lively.

This ti, the Demon Christmas Festival is followed by the annual summary eting of the demons. Many creatures have returned from outside the Demon Realm to participate in these two grand events, which are almost connected, filling the surroundings of the Demon Realm with a joyful atmosphere.

Even though there are still a few days until the festival begins, the number of creatures in the Demon Realm has already doubled compared to usual.

To celebrate this festival, whether it’s creatures, the Demon Envoy, or the Demon King, everyone is busy with preparations.

"Next. Sli Tribe. Annual report."

Currently, the Demon King is sitting in a side hall on the first floor of Demon King Castle, reviewing the situation and developnt reports from each tribe one by one.

Shami looked up and saw a large black coal ball bouncing towards him.

"Bone Fra, there’s a giant piece of trash in the side hall, please bring soone to clean it up."

Shami shouted, and only after hearing the sound coming from the large coal ball before him did he realize who this creature was.

"Mm!"

"Oh, it’s you, Jelly. How co you haven’t been around for a while and turned yourself into sothing like Nim?"

Shami rested his chin on his hands, watching the large coal ball in front of him.

"This color is very dangerous, you know."

"Mm!"

Jelly wanted to cry but had no tears.

"Lately, the whole world has been hunting Slis. You encountered a crazed adventuring party, so you had to use the Invisibility Technique taught by Elze to hide? — I thought you might have awakened a strange gene while picking cotton. Where’s the Sli Tribe’s annual developnt report? Hurry up and bring it, I’ve been waiting impatiently."

After quickly scanning the black jelly and not finding any wounds, Shami got to the point.

The so-called annual report varies in presentation from tribe to tribe, but as long as Shami can understand it, that’s what matters.

Jelly slowly brought out a lump of crystal blue sli, placing it on Shami’s table. Shami reached out to touch it and soon grasped the relevant information within.

This information included the locations of the contactable Sli settlents scattered across the continent; the number of Slis in each settlent; items scavenged by the Slis, and so on...

"Wait a minute, there are zero casualties in the tribe? Not a single Sli was captured by humans in the last month?"

After skimming through the report, Shami looked at the black jelly in surprise.

"Mm!" the black jelly exclaid excitedly.

After undergoing special training, the Sli Tribe has honed their survival skills to the extre.

Slis might starve to death in the wild, but they would never be captured by adventuring parties.

Despite becoming a focal point for adventuring parties due to the spread of the Sli’s Great Treasure, by adhering to the sixteen-word strategy [retreat when the enemy advances, withdraw when the enemy sets up camp, retreat as the enemy tires, and retreat once again when the enemy retreats], combined with their evolved skills after special training, Slis have established their own survival tactics, becoming ghosts on the continent, difficult to capture.

The most remarkable accomplishnt is that, during this winter, none of the Slis outside were caught by adventuring parties that ca seeking the Sli’s Great Treasure.

"Why is everything about retreating, BYD? Are the Slis not even attacking human villages anymore?"

Shami frowned, checking the scavenging situation of the Slis, furrowing his brows even more.

[Scavenged Items List]

[Branches (good for burning); feces (can be used as fuel when dried, also deters adventurers from advancing); shoes dropped by villagers (the boss might like them); cicada carcasses (excellent protein); half-eaten apples that can be washed and eaten (provides vitamins)...]

"What kind of junk are you all picking up? You’re turning into Bear Grylls! Why would I like villagers’ shoes? Is it because you see occasionally staring at the Demon Envoy’s shoes? Ugh, Slis only see the surface! And—bring back so gold and adventurer gear from your scavenging!"

Shami angrily punched the black jelly’s belly, shattering the black unknown substance covering it, which fell to the floor.

Jelly returned to its original appearance.

"Mm!"

Jelly expressed excitent.

"Isn’t the Sli Tribe’s annual report quite impressive? No, it’s actually very problematic. Plus, why is the appendix all about your wilderness survival records? Who wants to read that? Where’s the distribution of human villages? The strength of adventuring parties? The number of rcenary groups?"

Shami spread his hands and questioned Jelly.

"Mm!"

Jelly pointed out the last part of the annual report.

"Thanks to the hard harvesting by Slis, this year’s and next year’s demon cotton production can be self-sufficient? — Well, I’ll forgive you for that."

Looking at the existing quantity of demon cotton, Shami muttered that even selling it to humans would fetch a good price.

He decided to let Jelly off for now and continue training next year.

"Mm!"

Perhaps it had been a long ti since he last saw Shami, Jelly rubbed his plump body against Shami after finishing the report.

Shami didn’t resist too much, as who would dislike their own pet? Especially a Sli, arguably the cutest species among magical creatures.

"Alright, alright, just rub like this. Don’t engage in excessive physical contact, or there will be misunderstandings again."

Shami was sowhat cautious.

"Mm~"

"Are all the outlying Slis returning to the Demon Realm to throw a party recently?"

Deciphering the black jelly’s words, Shami suddenly realized sothing was amiss and hurriedly stepped out onto the terrace of Demon King Castle, his eyes widening.
