According to the adventurer guild’s classification of adventure teams, adventure teams are divided into three levels based on strength, mission completion tis, and influence: Silver Level, Gold Level, and Platinum Level.
And the "True Won’s Adventurer Group" before us is a Gold Level adventure team.
Five warriors surrounded the slis, forming a well-coordinated tightening circle.
The ordinary slis tried to resist a bit, but regardless of whether it was sli collision or sli liquid spray, they were easily neutralized.
"Don’t underestimate us, who’ve defeated the forr Demon Lord. You don’t even know how many slis have fallen under our hands."
The leading female warrior proudly raised her long sword and laughed.
"Chief, be ladylike, be ladylike."
The nearby female warrior reminded.
The leader of the adventure team promptly retracted her boisterous laughter, gracefully pinched her hair strands, then rushed towards the slis with her sword.
Quick, run, slis!
Shami used magic power to transmit sound from the side.
The slis’ bodies swelled.
Just when the female warrior thought they were charging up to spray sli liquid, the slis used this burst of strength to bounce out of the circle and quickly run away.
The five pseudo-male warriors stood dumbfounded on the spot.
"Chief, what do we do about this?"
"Chase them?! Who’s ever seen slis that can run? Aren’t slis supposed to just hide back in their nests after being hit, those silly magical creatures? This bunch of slis must carry information about a great treasure!"
The True Won’s Adventurer Group hurriedly pursued the fleeing slis.
Shami quickly followed suit.
Thus, a strange phenonon was ford on a road, with the Demon Lord chasing the adventurer group chasing the slis.
After one day.
"Chasing for a whole day, I’m exhausted. Is this the spirit of an adventure team?"
After two days.
"Still chasing, still chasing, slis have run over four hundred kiloters and we’re still chasing!"
After three days.
"Don’t you adventurers have anything else to do? Why are you still chasing? They’re just a bunch of slis!"
The scenery along the way transford from a pleasant forest to a tropical rainforest full of mosquitoes, then to a swamp with poisonous snakes and crocodiles underwater, and finally to a cold wasteland...
Morning of the seventh day.
Shami opened a teleportation gate from the Demon Realm, positioning near the sli group.
Looking around the environnt, barely any sunlight was visible, it was dark and damp, surrounded by cliff-faced canyons, with the sli group resting in the low area in the middle of the canyon.
Not far off was the True Won’s Adventurer Group.
Shami rubbed her eyes, just waking up.
"Ah, you’re still chasing, already pursued beyond the Fess Kingdom, any further and it’s the Northern Lands."
Shami was sowhat impressed by the tenacity of this Gold Level adventure group.
Chasing slis for seven days and nights, what kind of idle people can do such a thing.
The slis rested, panting, looking around, lifting stones to find small plants like moss underneath to eat and replenish energy.
Protein comparable to beef!
Overall, the sli group was still living well.
But not far away, the True Won’s Adventurer Group had fallen into dire straits, the five were in a miserable state, exuding a collapsing aura from head to toe.
"Chief, the food is all gone..."
"It’s been a week without a bath..."
"Speaking of which, the route chasing these slis is even longer than the one when we defeated the demon overlord Luwaka..."
"Should we continue the chase?"
A female warrior with dirty hair and dark circles looked at the chief of the True Won’s Adventurer Group.
The female warrior leader was similarly not in a good state, her entire armor full of mud and rotting flesh that stank, remnants of battles against crocodiles and snakes in the swamps. Her pants had several holes, with dry and dark skin underneath, poisoning effects from eating wild field mice at on the wasteland.
The female leader couldn’t decide, her eyes full of bloodshot veins.
Though for five days they’ve been able to see the sli group and keep pace with them, they could never catch up with the slis, only watching them from a distance.
"Is this the so-called sli paradox where, in a race, if the sli starts before the adventurer, the adventurer can never catch up?"
"Not at all! Has hunger made your brain fail? The slis are waiting for you to give up! They’re also returning to their original forest, that’s why they run a bit and stop a bit!"
The female leader angrily pounded the ground.
"But how can we just give up like this, after chasing for seven days and nights, what would the previous wilderness road an if abandoned now."
Shami sighed.
"The sunk cost is indeed hard to accept. But the slis’ wilderness survival limit is far from being reached, compared to humans, magical creatures survive more easily in the wild..."
"Just call it a field trip! Chief! Our adventurer group never tried a field trip together before becoming true won!"
"That’s right! This experience made us more familiar with each other!"
"If not for being blown by wind in the wasteland with only one tent left, I wouldn’t have seen that, being candid with everyone."
"The chief’s is truly small and cute huh, worthy of being the chief."
"Because of that secret, we’ve gathered together after all."
