With a loud bang, Damien pushed open the door, walking into the guild hall confidently, with Isabella right behind him.
To his left and right, adventurers could be seen drinking and laughing.
So cried over their fallen comrades, while others laughed and sang happily over their recent pay.
In front, a large counter with a rabbit-human person skillfully attending to one person after another.
With a human physique and long, brown, furry bunny ears, Damien wondered if she had a bunny tail behind her.
However, before he could take more observations on the guild, a drunken and raspy voice made its way into his ears,
"hehe hehe he! Look, everyone, since when did this guild beco a kindergarten?"
"And is that a maid? Hey, noble kid, if you don’t want to get yourself hurt, leave the guild and go back ho"
*Burp!*
Walking drunkenly, Isabelle’s and Damien’s field of view was soon overshadowed by a huge, drunken man.
At a staggering five, he was much taller than both of them.
Adding to his huge physique, if it were an ordinary person, perhaps they would have long been scared silly.
Unfortunately, Damien and Isabelle were anything but ordinary.
"Oh? Is this what I think it is? That cliche scene in the story where the dumb bullies of the guild co to make trouble with the newcor?"
"Haha, who would have thought that I would experience sothing like this on my first day!"
His eyes shining with excitent, Damien looked at the huge figure before him.
Wearing a set of common leather armour, a full beard, a bald head and a scar over his right eye, he indeed looked like a stereotypical thug.
A character too small to be categorised as a minor villain, his only importance to the plot being an asset to help the protagonist face slap
"Looking at him, it seems it’s up to to face slap!"
"Who would have thought my minor villain would encounter a protagonist event!"
Thinking inwardly, Damien Bugun gathers his mana, preparing to act.
Unfortunately, before he could do anything, Isabelle’s voice ca from behind him.
"Gravity crush!"
*Boom!*
Following her command, in an instant, the huge man dropped to his knees flat.
His body is unable to make a move.
In fact, under her gravity, he instantly passed out at that mont, his body only remaining kneeling as a result of her gravity.
"Young master, forgive for acting without your command; however, there seed to be an in front of us", said Isabelle with a chilling smile on her face.
Ever since the bandit incident, she had vowed to nip all danger that Damien encountered in the bud.
Had it not been that she did not want to cause too much of a commotion, she would have burnt him alive, especially since she sensed he was only barely first order.
For soone like her, even without a demon transformation, she could kill him with a glance.
"Young master? Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you okay?"
Looking at Damien, Isabelle was confused. Did she do sothing wrong?
Instead of answering her, she seed to hear him just mutter so strange words over and over again.
Sothing along the lines of
"no! My protagonist mont!"
"My face slapping mont!"
Unfortunately, she couldn’t understand what any of these words ant.
Not that she could have ti to understand it, as she suddenly noticed sothing was off, with the use of her gravity magic just now, the guild instantly went silent.
"Yo! Did you see that? They instantly knocked out muscle man Theo!"
"he’s an E rank adventurer, you know? I heard he was preparing for a D rank promotion!"
"Could those two be D ranks or even C ranks?"
"When did our small town get such big shots?"
Like wildfire, the guild instantly was in an uproar! They couldn’t understand what just happened.
Silverwood was just a small town in the empire, where D ranks were already the peak of adventures, so seeing a potential new C rank or D rank, everyone instantly turned solemn.
In this world where the strong reign, they knew if they said the wrong word, their lives could easily be on the line.
"Silence...."
For a while, silence dominated the guild hall, at least that was until a loud and boisterous voice attracted everyone’s attention.
"Hahaha! Why is this place so quiet! Are you guys the sa Silverwood adventurers I know?"
"Hey boy, you and your maid et upstairs and stop ssing with my people, alright! Hahaha!"
Laughing as if he had seen sothing truly funny, a tall man wearing a pure black suit and with a white beard and hair leaned over from the second-floor railing.
Looking down at Damien and the guild, his smile ever present.
And hearing this, a voice from the guild mbers instantly spoke up, relaxing the mood.
"Haha, guild head, who’s afraid! We’re adventurers!"
And following this lead, the other adventurers also laughed
"Haha, who’s afraid! Who doesn’t know Theo is a fool!"
"heh! You’re only saying that because he’s not conscious. I dare you to say it when he wakes up"
"Haha! I bet you five copper coins he doesn’t do it!"
"I bet five"
"I bet three!"
"I bet four!"
All of a sudden, the guild beca lively once more.
However, neither Isabelle nor Damien had a smile on their face as they looked upwards; this guild head instantly made their hair stand on end.
Strong!
They both thought, looking at the smiling guild head, beneath that smiling face, they sensed a power capable of destroying this town if let loose.
*Hey, isn’t this supposed to be a starter town! What kind of big boss hides in the starter town!*
Complaining inwardly, Damien knew he didn’t have much of an option. Looking back at Isabelle, he took one last glance at the guild around him before going upstairs.
"Isabelle, let’s go!" He said
And Isabelle, sensing the danger, silently turned her eyes red as she readied herself to act at any mont.
Once this so-called guild head dared to make a move, then she would not hesitate to act!
