A handso man in formal attire confidently entered the lobby with an entourage of n following behind him. Walking next to him was a blonde woman in a luxurious purple dress with a white animal fur coat waving as she walked gracefully.
Their appearance attracted the attention of the staff. So people pointed, and so people whispered, indicating that these people were not random persons. The handso man ca to the reception desk with a sweet smile, and the female staff blushed.
"We have a lunch appointnt with the CEO. Tell her, David and the Oathkeeper Guild Master have co. She'll understand right away."
For a few monts, the receptionist was glued to him. "Ah, yeah. I'll pass it on." While she was on the phone, her eyes couldn't escape the man nad David. "Miss Alexa will be down shortly. She said to send you to the lounge."
"Okay. Thank you," the handso man replied with a wink.
The receptionist was delighted as the handso man turned around and entered the lounge with his entourage.
"I brought you here to charm the CEO, not those plain, low-wage girls." The words escaped the blonde woman's mouth.
"Hehe, sorry, ma'am. That was foreplay."
The blonde-haired woman shook her head.
They imdiately sat at the table when they arrived at the lounge. The woman waved to the n in black suits, telling the bodyguards to leave.
While watching the office employees filing for lunch, David and the blonde woman waited for the company's CEO. Not long after they waited, a woman wearing glasses approached them.
Smiling friendly, she welcod them. "Thank you for waiting. I thought we would et at the restaurant."
David stood up and shook her. "I was going to call you, but I can't wait to et you, Miss Alexa."
Dabum.
Suddenly, Alexa's heart was pounding. Her face was flushed, and she couldn't keep her eyes off David.
Clap. Clap. Clap.
David snapped a finger before her face, jolting the bespectacled woman from her reverie.
"Your face is red. Are you okay?" asked David in an innocent tone. One of his eyebrows raised.
"N-no. I'm fine. I just have a little fever." Alexa shook her head. "Well, so, where are we going to eat?"
"You lead."
Alexa then walked quickly towards the exit. anwhile, David and the blonde woman glanced, throwing grins at each other.
They headed to an Italian restaurant across the street. They sat at a table near a large window that showed people walking by. After ordering their food, silence enveloped them.
The air was heavy. Alexa, who was usually always calm in any situation, looked nervous sitting across from David today. She couldn't mask her feelings as her cheeks turned bright red. Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm herself down.
However, her composure was shattered when the handso looked at her with a sweet smile.
"By the way, how about we make a formal introduction? She is the owner and Guild Master of Oathkeeper." David introduced Alexa, the blonde woman.
The blonde woman and Alexa shook hands. "Elizabeth Jung."
There were many nicknas the woman had. "The Golden-Haired Queen", "The Heart-breaking Witch", or "The Goddess of Heaven". However, people often knew her as the guild master of Oathkeeper.
She had extraordinary beauty. Golden hair like wheat. Green eyes like eralds. A face with perfect golden ratio proportions. A tall, slender body with perfect curves. n would fall in love, and won would be envious if they saw her.
Despite her goddess image in public, the woman was a beast when she was in the dungeon. Elizabeth could kill hundreds of monsters in the blink of an eye. She was a caster who could control the weather.
She could create storms, thundershowers, typhoons, and various other disasters as if the sky was in her hand.
However, with her reputation and power, Elizabeth Jung preferred to create a guild focused on trade—Oathkeeper.
Instead of having hundreds of powerful awakener troops, Oathkeeper had dozens of large corporations working for this guild. They invested millions of dollars in small companies to attract them. Just like LR Enterprise, this guild had dozens of different businesses.
What differentiated Oathkeeper from ordinary investnt companies was that they also invested in guilds. Investors were reluctant to put their money into guilds because most couldn't last two or three months. They always end up miscarrying without making a profit. In the end, they had nothing to offer but losses.
Oathkeeper, however, was quite the opposite. Elizabeth invested their money in newly ford or potential small guilds. The goal was not for money but to keep the entire guild in Ohio.
If 80% of the guilds in Ohio worked under Oathkeeper, wouldn't that make this guild the absolute ruler?
And her reason for coming to see Alexa was to devour Mors Industries. She had a strong desire to make this company one of the parts of her empire.
The servant ca with their food. While enjoying their lunch, they chatted. It was a light topic that had nothing to do with business.
"I heard you were working for LR Enterprise before?" asked David as he put the steak into his mouth.
Alexa nodded. "That's right. I worked for that company. But my boss's son requested to pull it off and ask to work for him, and the boss allowed it. And voila, here I am, a CEO."
Alexa sweetly smiled as David laughed crisply. During their conversation, the bespectacled woman stole glances and occasionally acted cute in front of David.
Seeing the CEO taking an interest in her subordinate, Elizabeth smirked.
David had a talent called [Desired Love]. This handso man was able to emit pheromones that attracted the opposite sex. If a woman was influenced by [Desired Love], love would blind her, and she would do anything for David. Only strong awakeners could resist his sex appeal.
From the beginning, Elizabeth planned to use David's power to win Alexa's heart. Thus, it would be easy for her to win Mors Industries.
"Alexa, do you have a boyfriend yet?" Elizabeth asked.
"Ah, not yet. I'm still single, you know. I'm focusing on my career."
"Well, I'm single too," David chid in.
Instantly, Alexa stamred as her face turned bright red. anwhile, David and Elizabeth were glancing at each other. The blonde woman gave the code through an eye gesture, and David nodded.
As the handso man was about to take action, a masculine voice suddenly broke the atmosphere.
"Ah, Alexa. Did you have lunch with your friends?"
A man in a neat suit ca over. He had stunning green eyes and dark hair close to black. With a friendly smile, the man touched Alexa's shoulder familiarly.
Seeing the man's arrival, David and Elizabeth twisted their faces in confusion.
"Oh, guys, I'm Klaus Lee. Nice to et you."
