The word "BEGIN!" had barely finished echoing through Arena Four when pandemonium exploded across the circular platform like a powder keg detonating.

Five hundred young warriors, fueled by weeks of training and desperate ambition, launched themselves into combat with the ferocity of caged predators finally released.

The cacophony was overwhelming—steel clashing against steel, the sharp crack of wooden shafts eting flesh, the hiss and crackle of hastily woven spells igniting the air.

Shouts of challenge mixed with screams of pain as the first wave of eliminations began within seconds of the trial’s start.

Bang! Rumble!

A girl from Block A, her auburn hair whipping behind her like a war banner, traced glowing symbols in the air with practiced precision.

"Fla Dart!" she cried, and three bolts of orange fire streaked toward a cluster of Block B students.

They scattered like startled birds, but the spell caught one girl in the shoulder, spinning her around and sending her tumbling toward the platform’s edge.

Nearby, two girls from Block C had ford an impromptu alliance, their swords working in desperate coordination against a trio of spear-wielding girls.

The tallic ring of parried strikes created a staccato rhythm that was imdiately drowned out by the thunder of a lightning weave crackling overhead, its purple energy arcing between combatants and leaving the air thick with the sll of ozone.

Bodies pressed against bodies in a writhing mass of violence. The platform, which had seed spacious when empty, now felt claustrophobically small as five hundred fighters struggled for position.

Those near the edges fought with particular desperation, knowing that a single misstep backward ant imdiate elimination and the end of their academy dreams.

But beneath the apparent chaos, patterns erged that spoke to deeper strategic thinking.

The female participants, making up ninety nine percent of the arena’s population, had quickly identified their primary target.

"Take out the boy first!" shouted a raven-haired girl from Block A, her voice cutting through the din as she gestured with a staff crackling with electrical energy. "We can settle things among ourselves afterward!"

The strategy was brutally effective. No matter what, a woman would take out a man first before turning on her fellow woman!

In the midst of this howling maelstrom of violence and chaos, Ren remained an island of perfect calm.

While combatants rushed towards him in desperate madness or furious pursuit, he stood with the relaxed alertness of a predator choosing its mont to strike.

His left eye was already active, painting the battlefield in ghostly white trails that revealed every intended movent before it occurred.

The precognitive display was overwhelming in its complexity—hundreds of montum lines weaving through the air like a three-dinsional web of future violence.

But Ren’s enhanced perception processed the information with supernatural clarity, filtering the crucial details from the background noise.

The first wave of attackers targeted him almost imdiately.

Three girls from Block A, their coordination suggesting they had trained together extensively, approached with the confident stride of hunters who had identified easy prey.

Their spears moved in perfect synchronization, designed to create a killing box that would leave him no avenue of escape.

"Just another boy," one of them muttered, loud enough for him to hear. "This should be quick."

Their montum lines revealed the attack pattern—a triple thrust from different angles, tid to overwhelm his defenses through sheer coordination.

It was a technique that had probably worked countless tis in practice.

Ren’s response was devastatingly simple.

He leaned backward, his montum transfer ability absorbing the kinetic energy of the movent and storing it like a coiled spring.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The spear thrusts whistled through the air where he had been standing, the attackers’ own forward montum carrying them past their target.

Then he released the stored energy through his kusarigama’s chain in a horizontal sweep that moved faster than the eye could follow.

Bang!

The weighted end caught all three girls at knee level, their own montum becoming the instrunt of their defeat as they tumbled off the platform in a tangle of limbs and weapons.

The entire exchange had lasted less than two seconds!

It was like they were moving in slow motion and he could read every single movent before they even made it!

What a way to start the battle!

The elimination of three coordinated attackers with a single movent sent a visible shockwave through the nearby combatants.

Fighters who had been pressing forward suddenly found urgent business elsewhere, their survival instincts recognizing a threat level that exceeded their ability to handle.

"Did you see that?" gasped a boyish girl from Block C who had witnessed the exchange while fending off her own attackers. "He didn’t even move his feet!"

But there was no ti for extended analysis. The battle raged on around them, and survival demanded constant attention to imdiate threats.

Kaboom! Kaboom! Rumble!

Within a few short seconds, not only had he easily dispatched a few more prospectives with the absurd weight of the Kusarigama club, he had also tangled a few and tripped a few more using his chains like a deft extension of his body.

He was an absolute beauty to watch. He was simply srizing!

As more opponents pressed forward, it didn’t take long for him to activate the resonance of his first rune.

The familiar surge of power coursed through his gains and a purple hue surrounded his body, making him look even more bewitching.

Roar!

The sensation was like lightning coursing through his veins, every cell in his body suddenly alive with enhanced potential.

Behind him, the ethereal violet panther materialized from wisps of energy, its spectral form growing more solid with each passing second.

The creature was magnificent and terrifying—easily the size of a small horse, with eyes that glowed like athysts and muscles that rippled with barely contained power.

When it opened its jaws and released a bone-chilling roar that seed to co from the depths of the earth itself, the entire arena fell silent for a heartbeat.

The psychological impact was imdiate and profound.

Combatants who had been rushing toward him stopped dead in their tracks, their weapons suddenly feeling inadequate in their hands.

The spectral panther was a manifestation of true resonance!

This was sothing that most of them had only heard described in theoretical terms and not even experienced themselves!

"Impossible," whispered a girl from Block B, her staff trembling in her grip. "He’s just a prospective like us. How can he have achieved subli compatibility? It has to be luck!"

The Montum Charge ability flooded through Ren’s system like liquid fire, transforming his already impressive physical capabilities into sothing approaching the supernatural.

Where before he had moved with enhanced grace, now he beca sothing else entirely—a blur of controlled violence that seed to exist in the spaces between monts.

A cluster of five Block B students—the maximum allowed by the trial’s rules—decided to test their luck against this new threat.

They were all skilled fighters who had distinguished themselves in their block’s preliminary trials, and their coordination spoke of extensive training together.

Their approach was thodical and intelligent. Two sword-wielders took point, their blades weaving defensive patterns while advancing steadily.

Behind them, two spear-users provided reach and flexibility, their weapons darting forward to probe for openings.

The fifth mber was a pure weaver, her hands already tracing the complex patterns of a binding spell designed to restrict his movent.

All their runes were activated and ready to unleash their most powerful attacks on Ren.

"Five on one," called out the lead swordsman, her voice carrying the confidence of soone who had calculated the odds and found them favorable. "Even if he’s achieved resonance, he can’t handle all of us at once."

Their montum lines revealed a sophisticated battle plan; a coordinated assault that would force him to divide his attention between multiple threats while gradually wearing down his defenses.

It was the kind of strategy that had probably worked against every other opponent they had faced.

Ren’s counter was devastatingly elegant in its simplicity.

He leaped straight up, his montum transfer ability absorbing the gravitational potential energy of the movent and began unleashing it in a steady stream that allowed him to barely remain afloat!

For a mont, he hung in the air above their formation like a bird of prey choosing its target.

The binding weave, aid at where he had been standing, dissipated harmlessly against the empty air.

The coordinated weapon strikes found nothing but space, their carefully planned formation suddenly rendered aningless by his unexpected vertical movent.

Then he released all the charged montum through his kusarigama’s blade in a single, horizontal arc that carved through their formation like a scythe through wheat.

Bang!

The weapon moved with impossible speed, its edge trailing wisps of violet energy that spoke of his enhanced state.

Three of the attackers were eliminated imdiately, caught completely off-guard by the angle and speed of the assault.

The sharp scythe cut faint lines across their necks and rendered them shocked frozen.

The remaining two staggered backward, their coordination shattered and their confidence replaced by raw terror.

"Monster," one of them gasped, before turning and fleeing deeper into the crowd.

Word of Ren’s overwhelming dominance began to spread through the arena like wildfire.

Combatants who had been eagerly pressing forward suddenly found compelling reasons to engage opponents elsewhere.

The spectral panther’s continued presence behind him only amplified the psychological impact—this wasn’t just a skilled fighter, but soone who had transcended the normal limitations of their level!

"Stay away from the boy with the chain weapon," beca a whispered warning passed between groups of female fighters. "He’s not normal. He’s achieved guaranteed resonance."

The phrase was repeated with the kind of reverence usually reserved for legendary figures, not fellow students.

Guaranteed Resonance was supposed to be sothing achieved by advanced practitioners after a few months of dedicated study, not by first-year prospectives barely out of their preliminary training!

Rumble!

While Ren carved his path of destruction through the arena’s center, the broader battle continued to rage with undiminished intensity.

The platform’s edges had beco killing grounds where desperate fighters made their last stands before tumbling into elimination.

Bodies pressed against bodies in a writhing mass of violence that showed no signs of abating.

It was like a world of madness where the only goal was to survive for as long as possible!
