Chapter 1067: Hamr Here, Hamred There
"You really think this is wieldable? It’s... that’s quite heavy, and I haven’t even attached it to a shaft yet. Should I try and make it lighter?"
Lifting up the spearhead and showing it to the Wolfkin and the Orc, I couldn’t help but question their judgent and knowledge as I voiced my concerns, though I was more than willing to listen and do as they asked since they knew more.
"Yes, it is ant to be extrely heavy. It is - technically speaking - a gladius that is going to be attached to a long wooden pole. The wings definitely don’t help in it being heavy, but this weight is what makes it powerful."
"The heavier a spear is the more force you can get behind it. Since she isn’t using it as a projectile the weight doesn’t matter, and for soone like her this weight isn’t anything terrible. Besides, you aren’t even using mana right now to empower yourself. You could even make it heavier."
Luna spoke first then Shelur, and both made points that assuaged my worries; staring at what really could be used as a short sword but having to use two hands to wield it comfortably was... it was definitely making
realize just how strong my wife was.
I an, she lifted
quite often in many different ways, and she was more than capable of throwing our daughters around when she played with them, so I knew she was this strong, but... now that the thing she was lifting was a weapon, I guess the actual ’weight’ of it was setting in.
"Alright... but... should I make it heavier then? Or just leave it as is? And... is this the best design to make?"
Letting it cool down completely and handing it over to the two futanari, I watched them as they appraised it carefully, with Luna looking at it from every angle while Shelur just looked down the blade and took in its shape.
"For what you wanted, yes. Sothing that can do piercing and slashing would need a design like this. If you wanted more of one or the other I have a few ideas in mind, but they are primarily ant for just one of those, not both."
Handing the spearhead back to , Shelur watched as I set it to the side and got prepared for the next attempt, where I would be making sothing similar but not as heavy for Aethisia, though that could change depending on what she actually wanted or felt comfortable with.
When the next ingot was placed in the flas of the forge I was hugged from behind again, the muscular Orc holding
close and looking inside of the forge as she asked "Could I... try this? Do you have sothing I could do?
