Chapter 1010: The Lion And The Horse
"Now now, we don’t have the ti for that, Duchess..."
Trying to put on a ’stern’ tone, I looked up at the Lionkin and tried to keep my expression serious as she gave
a little pout, the muscular, handso futanari with all the power anyone could dream of acting like I just told her no sweets after dinner.
To a degree I suppose I was since she was trying to convince
that the Inn over there was perfect for
to ’fix my dress’, which we both knew was code for ’I really want to fuck you again before we go and et Miss Hertanc’.
Sadly we didn’t have the ti for it, and although I was saddened by having to decline so of the best dick in the country now I was definitely banking on her and Miss Hertanc needing so relief during and or after their talk.
Letting out a long and remorseful sigh, Duchess Leonisa just rested her hand on my waist and stared at the Inn wistfully for a few monts before saying "I suppose you are right, my dear... but really, you are an entire feast for the eyes with this dress..."
Her tone made a crack in my serious mask as I basked in her praise, unable to help myself as I smiled slightly before imdiately recovering by replying "Thank you, but you have already feasted enough today. Besides, I would hope you like the dress; you were the one to pick it out for ."
"Yes, yes... I know you were leaning more towards that erald one, but we didn’t have the ti and I don’t think green is... the best color for you."
I raised a brow and dared her to continue, though where my warrior oriented wives might have backed down or imdiately gone to placate
with various other things, Duchess Leonisa just smiled and continued on, unbothered by said brow.
"You would look beautiful in any color, but where those of us with the ’natural’ hair colors can wear anything and do well, those of us blessed with sothing more unique have limitations. Violet and green can work, red and green can work, but all of that together is... a bit ssy. Red is far more suitable, as are purples."
To keep her mind off of being rejected for a quickie the Duchess walked
through color theory as we made our way over towards the neutral site chosen to et Miss Hertanc, the Lionkin passing the ti as she held
by her side the entire ti.
It was a pleasant walk, one that I really didn’t mind considering the chat was a rather engaging one, but as soon as we reached the cafe I was also rather happy that the journey was over since I got to see the sharply dressed Horsekin sitting alone.
The entire cafe was empty save for the employees darting around to make sure everything was ready, and as soon as we entered they all disappeared to give us space, leaving behind a large pot of coffee and a tray of various pastries.
"Duchess Leonisa, it is a pleasure."
Getting up and bowing deeply to the Lionkin, Miss Hertanc flashed her a well put together smile before taking the Lionkin’s hand and kissing the back of it, doing her best to show her respect as much as she could.
"It is a pleasure indeed, Miss Hertanc. Miss Astra here told
that you were interested in helping
solve one of my problems, yes?"
Duchess Leonisa got straight into things, sitting down at the table after nodding to the Horsekin and giving
a smile as I began to pour them both coffee, leaving them to talk as I just listened in and served them.
The Horsekin’s eyes lingered on
for a few monts before she answer, those brown orbs flashing with recognition as she took in the dress, jewelry and then the very obvious signs of dishevelnt that ca from many ’forays’ before we got here.
I might have turned her down once but I definitely didn’t turn her down all the ti; we were running a little late for a reason, after all, and sadly I was showing a few signs of that, which...
To many would have been a pain point, a slight blow to their ego and trust and a point of contention going forwards, but for Miss Hertanc she just gave
a small smile before turning back to the Lionkin.
That smile held a lot of lust and intrigue, her peculiar kink rearing its head a little before she cald herself down as her business oriented brain overrode everything else, leaving no room for lust inside of her sowhat thick skull.
"I am indeed hoping to help you solve your problem regarding silks. Your problem happens to coincide with one of my own, so I decided to take the risk and reach out to you in hopes of finding a way to solve our problems together. Two heads are better than one, no?"
Making sure both were served and taking care to ensure there was no distractions, I sat down and began to enjoy my own cup of coffee as they got into things, the initial bravado that was apparently required causing
to lose interest as I just filled my belly with sothing besides yummy sen.
They flexed certain parts of their businesses and downplayed the others accomplishnts before slowly beginning to butter one another up as they walked those opinions back, doing this song and dance of Noble idiocy that just seed like a waste of ti.
But they both seed to enjoy it as they took a few minutes to ease into things, warming up their vocal cords and making sure the gears in their heads were well lubricated as they engaged in wordplay that led to square one.
"My sister is the one in control of the businesses, yes, but she doesn’t seem to understand these sorts of things, Duchess. She... lacks the nuance, I suppose. The finesse. If you were to just approach her and ask for a contract she would try to rip you off before even thinking about the benefits of a genuine deal."
"Well, it’s good that I ca to you instead of her then, no? Because I don’t enjoy getting ripped off, and I do enjoy chatting with soone who understands nuance and finesse..."
Now they were learning a little closer to one another with those half smirks and calculative gleams in their eyes, aning this was where things were about to start... and I was already completely lost about what was actually happening here...
At least I had coffee and tasty glazed apple tarts to enjoy~!
