Göll was genuinely startled.

During the third round earlier, her sister had abruptly sent her alone into the historical simulation, terrifying her.

This ti, the Akasha System had suddenly activated the imrsive history mode, and she thought she was about to be abandoned alone again.

But when her vision returned to normal, she realized she was still inside the Akasha Chamber.

So who had been sent away?

A quick glance confird that everyone was still present—no one had disappeared.

Honestly, Sister Brunhilde was deliberately scaring her.

"Sister!"

Reginleif initially thought her sister had failed to activate the ti travel, but she quickly noticed the discrepancies around them and signaled her sister with a aningful look.

From Brunhilde's reaction, it was clear she had also noticed the anomalies right away.

For instance, the Akasha operating system interface that should have been displayed before her sister had vanished without being summoned.

Additionally, the table and chairs where Reginleif, Alvitr, and Hlökk had been having their little tea party had disappeared into thin air.

"Hmm."

Brunhilde gave her sister a slight nod.

It seed the Akasha System hadn't failed to transport them into the historical simulation—it had succeeded, but the destination was still the Akasha Chamber.

This left Brunhilde puzzled.

Why would the investigation into the Old Man of the Mountain's records send them back to the Akasha Chamber?

Wait—no. The confirmation she had clicked wasn't for directly entering the historical records of the Old Man of the Mountain's past. It wasn't a simulation centered around that figure.

Hadn't there been a related search log on that character's profile just now?

She must have clicked on that search record, which had redirected them to a past recording of soone using the Akasha Chamber.

"Bru—mmph!!!"

Just as Göll was about to speak, a hand clamped tightly over her mouth, cutting off her words.

And it was squeezing so hard it blocked her nose, leaving her unable to breathe.

The perpetrator, of course, was none other than Brunhilde, the eldest of the thirteen Valkyries.

The group quickly hid.

"Huff—mmph!"

The mont Göll was released, she instinctively gasped for air—only to freeze under her sister's terrifying glare. She hurriedly covered her own mouth and inhaled cautiously.

At the sa ti, she understood the unspoken threat in her sister's eyes—if her mouth caused any more trouble, it would be sewn shut.

To emphasize the point, Brunhilde even mid zipping her lips shut with an imaginary zipper.

So you an it's not just stitching, but sewing on a zipper, right?

Big sister is terrifying.

Hmm? There's movent.

Two gods entered the Akashic Records. One was Mars, the God of War from the Roman pantheon, while the other was soone Göll didn't recognize.

"Are you sure you want to use the Akashic system for this investigation?"

"If we don't, how else can we find the one who's been interfering with our plans? How else can we bring about humanity's end ahead of schedule? The Primordi—ugh!"

Before the unfamiliar god could finish speaking, Mars abruptly clamped a hand over his mouth.

At the sa ti, Göll's mouth was also tightly covered—so tightly it felt like her jaw might shatter.

The one responsible for this, of course, was Brunhilde.

She had acted preemptively to silence Göll, who had just overheard sothing incredibly alarming.

First of all, bringing about humanity's end ahead of schedule? That reeked of conspiracy.

In other words, was there soone behind the scenes pushing for the vote to end humanity during this conference?

And what was that about "the Primordi—"?

Brunhilde had seen how Mars' expression darkened the mont that word was uttered.

Whatever ca after "Primordi—" must have been even more shocking than the conspiracy to hasten humanity's demise.

Damn it, why did they have to cover their mouths so quickly?!

The two gods then fell silent and began using the Akashic system. Soon after, the unfamiliar god vanished—presumably sent into the historical records of the past.

Mars, anwhile, remained behind. Was he standing guard?

This sneaky behavior suggested they were terrified of being caught using the Akashic system.

Normally, Mars himself had the authority to investigate anything through the Akashic system. So why was he so nervous now?

In other words, whatever he was investigating couldn't be discovered by the other gods.

Before long, the Akashic system reacted—the one who had gone to observe the historical records was returning.

With a flash of light, the unfamiliar god reappeared—only to collapse limply onto the ground.

No response at all?

Mars' expression twisted in alarm as he rushed forward to check.

"Dead?"

Dead?!

Brunhilde's face also paled. He had died while observing the historical records of the past?

Had he seen sothing so horrifying that it scared him to death?

Impossible. He wasn't so frail human with a heart condition.

Which ant… he had been attacked and killed while inside the historical records?

Murder across ti and space?

In the past, Brunhilde would have dismissed such a thing as impossible. But after her own experiences, she knew better.

Mars then hastily carried the body away.

Otherwise, there would have been records of the incident.

A thought crossed Brunhilde's mind, and she fast-forwarded the recording. After speeding through half an hour (which, in the accelerated historical tiline, equated to six months), Mars still hadn't reappeared.

No one else had entered the Akashic Records during that ti, either.

Frowning, Brunhilde prepared to leave. She still had to prepare for the fourth round of Ragnarök.

Just as she was about to log out, a figure finally appeared—Mars once again.

As he summoned the Akashic system's interface and prepared to perform so operation, another god suddenly appeared and stopped him.

"What's the matter?"

"Stop using the Akashic System to investigate that assassin."

"Don't worry, I'm not planning to travel back through history."

"No, I an even just searching for information about this person on the interface will leave traces in the Akashic System. This might arouse so suspicion among the gods. If they check the historical records based on the logs, we could be exposed."

"Then how are we supposed to investigate that guy? Is he really human? A re human beheaded a god? More importantly, how did he kill across ti and space? That's definitely not human!"

"For now, we'll have to gather information about him from the real world. Send soone to make contact with that assassination order."

After a brief silence, the two gods left the Akashic Chamber.

Then, Brunhilde imdiately chose to log out to avoid any mishaps.

What incredible information she had just overheard!
