Just like a marionette, the blur of flesh that was its hands swayed, and the head suddenly twisted 270 degrees, the turbid eyes gazing at Kael:
"In the end, we concluded that in order to win this war, deception is crucial, constructing cages out of webs of lies.
Ah, that's correct, isn't it, Lord? Just like you tried to deceive the gods with the power of mortals, a beautifully sinister sche, but your plot...
has a problem!
Did you really think that your actions wouldn't be observed by those gods? So, sing praises for the na of Shirek! The Prince of Lies has also endorsed what you've done!"
By the ti Kael regained his senses, he found himself in a vast, vaguely familiar expanse of whiteness.
Soon, after a flash of white light dissipated, what Kael saw was a landscape scarred and sore.
The white light was the intense brightness emanating from the center of an explosion.
An inexplicable ssage entered his mind.
Although he heard no sound, it felt as though deafening noises were echoing in his mind.
Thanks to this ssage, Kael finally understood where he was.
One of the very first sites of detonation for the Apocalyptic Bomb, also the site where the goblin empire first successfully killed a divine being after a Saint's descent.
After the terrifying Alchemy Storm quietly dissipated, Kael finally saw the decayed wreckage at the center of the Apocalyptic Bomb's explosion.
The remains known as the Evil God's Flesh, referred to as the Saint Body.
The Prince of Lies, Shirek, seed to have used so ans to extract a scene from the tidal waves of history that had already occurred.
"Is this the Apocalyptic Bomb? This is the ultimate divine weapon?"
A sowhat familiar voice ca through, and a group of beings wearing sothing like biohazard suits drove up to the center of the explosion.
Without any regard for the still-smoky site, they imdiately ran toward the decayed remains at the explosion's center on getting out of the vehicle.
After a series of checks, the site erupted in joyous laughter.
One of the biohazard suit workers, ecstatic to tears, excitedly removed his hood, revealing the face underneath that looked familiar yet much younger.
"The young Dr. Zack...?" Kael murmured softly.
The goblin under the biohazard suit, his face streaked with tears of excitent, laughed aloud:
"With this, the basic material for the Heavenly Ladder Plan is secured; we can finally attempt to move forward with the next step of the plan!"
When Dr. Zack uttered these words, the entire scene seed to re-enter a mont frozen in ti.
The shattered divine corpse blown apart by the Apocalyptic Bomb's test fire turned its head slowly, like a "lousy little fish" or a nutcracker, looking towards Kael.
Kael suddenly felt his eyes itch, wiped them, and suddenly noticed a lean-looking middle-aged man, taking the place of the original charred divine corpse, sitting in a chair.
Even without speaking a word, his re presence in that chair sohow made one imdiately think of one na—
Shirek!
The man sitting in the chair slowly turned his head, revealing a refined smile to Kael and said in a relaxed and cheerful manner:
"The origin of this story cos from the creations of the world's will, the goblins. Originally beings of the essence of the earth, thanks to the world's blessing, they obtained a heritage of civilization not native to this continent.
Afterward, more akin to the Stone Giants, the goblins suffered a flesh curse, gradually acquiring their own flesh in a long curse and truly began to thrive."
However, their developntal pace was far too rapid, essentially completing in a couple of hundred years what would take other nations six to seven hundred years.
By the ti the goblin empire's overall strength had already reached the top ten in the continent, these foolish goblins began to ponder how they could possess the power to contend against the gods.
Or more accurately, they rely needed the ability to negotiate in the face of gods, nothing more than that was sufficient.
However, many things don't change as they had imagined, and the goblin empire was no doubt a nation filled with imagination and rapid evolution.
But even with such creativity, it is difficult to create sothing that originally doesn't exist or has never been seen before.
If the Heavenly Ladder Plan lacks reference, the synthesis of summaries and samples for analysis, envisioning the realization of the goblin empire's dream is nearly impossible, perhaps not achievable even across several generations of goblins.
So..."
Sitting in the chair, Shirek raised his hand, extended one finger with a chillingly pleasant smile, as if whispering to a lover:
"How could they complete the plan without samples? The thought that such an interesting plan could die ab ovo due to such a ridiculous reason is simply unacceptable!
Ah~ah~ I cannot accept such an outco!"
The Prince of Lies, holding his bowler hat, lifted his downcast eyelids, his eyes brimming with the joy of seeing a new toy appear.
"Since the little ones have already prepared the stage, would it not be terribly dull if no one perford on it?
