Providing protection for Hassaka ant further excavating the potential of the Sli itself and controlling Hassaka’s body from a distance through the mucous mbranes of the Gluttonous Sli.
For Kael, the ntal exhaustion that this entailed surged dramatically in an instant.
On the other hand, there was the issue of the degradation in Totem Power over the long distance between himself in the Twisted Jungle and Hassaka outside of Titan Town, which was also a significant problem.
Even Kael suspected that the Totem Power might suffer different kinds of degradation while passing through the subterranean gates of the Twisted Jungle, sothing he would need to verify further after leaving the Dungeon.
Honestly, if it hadn’t been for Hassaka’s call just now, prompting him to unconsciously observe Hassaka’s situation through Totem Power, Kael might already be regretting sothing imnsely by now.
"Goblin Vanguard?" Hearing Kael’s words, Old White furrowed his brow, having not heard any news of the Goblin Vanguard’s existence for many years.
"Young master, are you sure that what you saw through Totem Power from Hassaka was the Goblin Vanguard?"
Kael nodded and said, "I’ve seen what the Goblin Vanguard looks like in relevant atlases. I can be utterly certain that he indeed was the Goblin Vanguard."
Of course, what Kael ntioned about seeing atlases was actually false.
In his past life, he had entered so Dungeons that were primarily based on echoes of the goblin empire’s history, so naturally, he had encountered the presence of not only the Goblin Vanguard but even higher-ranking individuals.
"If that’s the case, then it’s a bit strange, isn’t it?" Old White looked at Kael with so hesitation, but he could see that Kael seed to have already made a judgent.
He sighed and said, "Is it a new Dungeon? And a rather rare one based on historical echoes?"
"Most likely, I fear that place is a precursor to the formation of a subterranean gate. Before a subterranean gate forms, if similar monsters are nearby, they will be greatly influenced by the aura emanating from the gate.
It’s even possible that so of the monsters from within the Dungeon could be transported to the land above before the subterranean gate is fully ford.
Thinking this, Kael rubbed his temples again.
Troubleso...
Why did it have to be a subterranean gate of the historical echo type?
And logically speaking, Lancaster shouldn’t be planning a new subterranean gate so quickly, not while the second Dungeon hasn’t been fully conquered yet.
Kael pondered, having heard that for territories that expanded their influence rapidly within a short period, if they were fully capable of conquering a Dungeon yet intentionally delayed its conquest, the world will would preemptively increase the difficulty for the territory.
This didn’t an the direct launching of the Dungeon, but just a reminder to the local Lords that your world will mother had already noticed your slacking off.
You should take action when it’s ti to do so, instead of always thinking about staying in one spot and getting paid for slacking off.
However, as Kael recalled the expression, deanor, and even the fighting style of that Goblin Vanguard...
Such a resolute will certainly would not belong to a wild goblin.
Troubleso indeed, I fear that Dungeon might also possess echoes of the relatively well-established goblin empire.
And it’s different than the usual subterranean gates from Otherworlds.
Historical echo-type subterranean gates are actually excerpts from certain historical events that once took place on the continent of Shen Hua, reshaped into sections of Dungeons through the mighty power of the world will.
Rather than calling them Dungeons, they are more of a retrospective by the world itself on extinct histories, a reminiscence of once glittering civilizations and fearless heroes that have faded into history.
Historic echo-type Dungeons are essentially the essence of certain civilizations that dissipated in the past, deed useful for the future developnt of the world by the world will, and thus resurrected from the graves of history.
In so sense, these artifacts are the result of a distortion in the rules of ti.
After all... just like the Twisted Jungle, these Dungeons can also be rged permanently into the territory, becoming an enduring part of Lancaster.
So, if, and I an if, there are famous heroes and legions in the historical echoes, and these heroes and legions return to the continent as the Dungeon rges into the world,
Doesn’t it an that those vanished existences have found a way back to this land once more?
Setting aside the philosophical speculation, such thods are tantamount to resurrecting a person from death.
Not to ntion the multitude of technologies embedded in goblins.
At this thought, Kael’s heart began to beat a little faster.
During the epoch of the goblin empire, a vast number of lost technologies existed. With the goblins’ final vindictive application of an almost irreversible bloodline curse upon their own kin, they cut off the future of their entire race, leading to the demise of much talent, and many technologies remained buried in history forever.
Many of these lost technologies were acquired by various civilizations that later divided the goblin empire’s inheritance.
As the Human civilization was comparatively weak as a whole back then, it did not get to partake in the feast of dividing the goblin legacy, and indeed lagged behind those civilizations in advanced magic technology.
