The Rangers looked at the increasingly noisy players and the ever-more congested traffic arteries. One of them slapped his forehead, turned to a colleague, and said, "If this goes on, the road will be completely blocked."

So a group of them went forward and began to clear the congestion.

"Ladies and gentlen, please don’t gather in large numbers here. Those setting up stalls should pack up. There’s always room for stalls at the main artery market."

Seeing the NPCs taking the field and getting involved, the players who were causing the commotion quickly shifted their battlefield. Those who hadn’t finished trading chose to run to the business district to continue their unfinished deals.

Watching the crowd disperse rapidly, Kael opened his window and quietly looked out at the moonlit night.

Finally, his gaze turned to the Gluttonous Sli that had swallowed oriha steel. Read the latest on empire

The small Sli squird on the table, occasionally hopping, looking at Kael and conveying a yearning emotion towards him.

Kael took a deep breath and made up his mind.

Indeed, after amassing quite a fortune, Kael rapidly built up the related potion industry, which attracted a considerable amount of capital and redirected a significant portion of resources back into his territory, particularly towards the Rangers.

Most of the young Rangers, being robust and strong, quickly reached their ready-to-breakthrough bottlenecks. With the addition of Attributes, they smoothly knocked on the door to higher levels.

Kael knew well that the coming period would still see the Rangers’ rapid growth. Unlike players, even without engaging in combat, they could rapidly develop by tapping into their body’s potential.

But, after all, they had their limits.

Kael’s resources were limited, and it would be senseless to pour limited resources into an endless abyss.

Furthermore, the innate qualities of the Rangers varied, and investnts didn’t always yield returns.

He had to consider cost-effectiveness!

Blindly investing without considering the output would definitely lead to serious problems.

This was also why he turned his attention to the Gluttonous Sli.

Because in the original tiline, Gluttonous Slis already had a relatively complete direction for exploitation and a thod of use.

Sitting inside the house, Kael slowly closed his eyes. A re increase in personal strength wouldn’t be enough to boost the overall strength of his domain in a short ti.

Especially with the players becoming stronger, if the Rangers’ advancent speed couldn’t surpass that of the players, it would inevitably lead to significant turmoil.

Given the number of Rangers, if their strength wasn’t outstanding, they couldn’t suppress others, and who knows what the players would do.

They might just progress into the Japanese RPG trope of "professionally rummaging through villagers’ hos."

His fingers tapped on the table, a murky light flashing in his eyes.

Previously, his goal had been to use the Gluttonous Sli to give these people a new lease on life.

Even though they couldn’t beco like his own Sli that had absorbed oriha steel, with relatively easily obtainable rare tals, he could still cultivate a batch of fairly strong Slis.

In the past life, so Mages discovered it was possible to remove the thinking ability of Gluttonous Slis, turning them into a shapeable fluid that could be molded at will.

Later, the Mage Academy, through research, perford secondary modifications on these thoughtless, instinct-only Gluttonous Slis.

The end result of this plan was good.

Through magical modifications, Mages can cut off a small part of the curse swordsman’s curse power circuit and then implant an Artificial Circuit within the non-resistant body of a Gluttonous Sli.

By connecting the Sli’s circuit to the curse swordsman’s circuit, they could integrate the flow of curse power between the two.

Eventually, the Sli would replace so of the curse swordsman’s skin, forming a symbiotic black carapace that slowly draws energy from the curse swordsman’s blood.

By then, even if the Slis retain only their instincts, the nature to survive and feed will drive them to stay attached to the curse swordsman’s body for a long ti, obeying their control.

Thus, the once sensational Knight-craft profession ca into being.

The Slis symbiotic with the Knight-craft would continuously consu the knight’s physical energy, converting it into their own life force.

At the sa ti, to protect the symbiont from harm, the Sli would form a layer on the Knight-craft that is akin to a non-Newtonian fluid for protection.

This protective layer had certain autonomous counterattack and defense abilities, and could also initiate an attack under the Knight-craft’s control.

As the Knight-craft continuously used their curse power while nurturing the Gluttonous Sli with external tals, the flowing Sli would gradually form new "organs" under the knight’s control.

This coordination process would typically take six months to two years…

All of this was predicated on how to properly cultivate Gluttonous Slis and adapt them to a mutual symbiosis.

Kael’s fingertips gently poked the docile Gluttonous Sli and said,

"If we could truly dominate you, perhaps there might be a better path than that of Knight-craft, right?"

If reading a book hundreds of tis leads to understanding its aning, then Kael’s mind — now filled with fraworks of Magic Theory and extensive knowledge of magical experints — was surely capable of supporting the initial transformation of the Gluttonous Sli.
