In the intended future, after the destruction of the Bell Federation, this Saintess Sofia had overco great opposition to incorporate a territory of Human into the jurisdiction of the Sea God Church, protecting its Human population from harm.
In the eyes of the Humans living in that territory, she truly was like a Saintess—gentle, beautiful, and kind to her people. By conventional wisdom, such a beautiful character would be top-tier among player communities.
But so players don’t buy into that image.
Like Kael.
He distinctly rembered that the piece of land occupied by the Saintess back then was relatively fertile and had fewer Magic Beasts within the Bell Federation.
Whether or not the Sea God Church took over that land, given a bit of ti, the Human powerhouses of that land would naturally rebuild a new order to protect the Humans from harm.
But what happened instead was that under the shelter of a Holy Land powerhouse native to that land, they could have easily withstood the onslaught of Magic Beasts. But during one quiet night, that powerhouse was attacked by a Monster.
Hit by 24 Magic spells, he "unfortunately" died on the front lines, fighting the incoming wave of Monsters.

You heard that right, aside from one player who was directly killed by Divine Power and permanently banned, coming online to vent their frustrations, not a single person survived that battle.
For players, good looks are important, but so is a distinctive character. Goodness with a hint of filth is even more morable than outright evil.
Whether it was a decision made by the Saintess herself or a sche orchestrated by the Sea God Church, from the perspective of those who stood to gain, the greatest beneficiary of that battle was undoubtedly the Sea God Church.
