"Two days from now, we will engage in the final battle with the wolf pack, but before that, let us fully enjoy the joy of victory!"
The commanding voice rose from the front of the tent in the temporary camp, causing the resting players and rangers to look up involuntarily.
Their eyes fixed on the young man riding the horse, who remained composed and serene.
His golden hair was disheveled from battle. His damaged Mage’s attire was rather unsightly, stained with the blood of wolves and his own, tarnishing his face, leaving it less than glorious.
Yet, the enchanting aura about him was still reflected in everyone’s eyes, shining brighter than ever before.
The players, marveling quietly below, felt that Brother Kael had grown even more handso.
And to the natives, this feeling was even more potent.
Especially the rangers, if personal charisma determined a leader’s worth, then undoubtedly, Kael was the one they would kneel before in loyalty.
Among the eyes of the crowd, the formidable Kael lifted the ceremonial sword in his hand, gazing up at the sky, and said:
"Now let report on this campaign’s battles, status, and losses.
This battle was initiated by the Shadow Wolf pack, aiming to attack our temporary quarters at the surrounding camps, to reduce our numbers in advance and support the subsequent wolf pack invasion.
Our Undead detected this maneuver in advance, conveyed the ssage back to the camp, and stood firm at the temporary site, without wavering. Undoubtedly, they are the heroes of this campaign!"
Players like Honeydew, who had been resurrected, and other surviving Guarantor Human Souls stood together, eting everyone’s gaze, feeling a surge of emotion.
Whew, once I confird it with my eyes, it felt like a revelation.
The crowd below, upon hearing Kael’s voice, erupted into cheers.
Jonathan accepted the cheers and congratulations from the crowd with a smile.
Other players seed a bit more disheveled, perhaps unaccustod to such scenes, and for a mont felt as if they were facing genuine adulation, resulting in a mix of embarrassnt.
"Of course, we will not forget the aid of many rangers and Undead who rushed to our assistance.
But as we have seen, where there is war, there are sacrifices. Despite their utmost efforts, so of our comrades inevitably fell forever in the wolves’ siege.
The number of rangers who participated in the battle was 311, and the number of Undead who joined the battle was 2633.
We eliminated 114 Shadow Wolf Guards, 343 Two-headed Shadow Wolves, and 540 ordinary Shadow Wolves.
The death toll… 22 rangers, 733 Undead, and 3 missing."
Kael took a deep breath before continuing:
"Ladies and gentlen, as a Border Lord, my duty is to defend the land beneath our feet and clear all threats. However, I must say that death in war is never a necessary sacrifice.
Your lives were not mine to claim, but when you offered your loyalty, the bonds of honor and brotherhood forever linked us. I will lead the charge until we burn out together, and this is my promise to you as your lord.
Now, raise your glasses, forget your troubles and sorrows, drink generously and feast on the at, and relish this joyful mont. Here’s to the sacrificed, to the brave, and to you and !"
The people lifted their cups, freshly supplied from the camp, and the atmosphere gradually relaxed. The people of this world were such, facing constant struggles with the Dungeon, they placed more emphasis on enjoying the mont while they were alive.
