Enduring the pain that felt as if his body was about to be shattered, he glanced in Kael's direction from the corner of his eye.
He saw Kael plant the Scarlet Dream Blade before him, his gaze not focused in his direction, but cautiously surveying the surroundings.
At this mont, he finally realized a problem.
It wasn't that the Helois Monarch needed no montum or battle triggers to fight, but from the very beginning, he hadn't appeared on Kael's list of enemies that required careful attention.
"You bastard... are you using as bait?"
He cried out in unwillingness and despair.
Only now did the Black Sun Priest realize that he couldn't even get close to Kael. Even just then, it wasn't that he approached Kael, but rather Kael was guiding him to approach from the start.
Is this what a Magic Monarch is?
Once given enough magic power, distance, and a leisurely spellcasting environnt, within his firepower coverage they are the most terrifying destroyers among their peers.
"Escape!"
Such a thought inevitably surfaced in his mind, the feeling of being casually crushed was too unbearable for him, who had always prided himself as a loyal follower of Black Sun, and now, facing this invisible fear, he couldn't help but let the seed of cowardice take root in his mind.
Although he still had so trump cards he could use, at this mont, he had completely lost any resolve to fight.
Fleeing, for an Infiltrator, was never sothing to be ashad of.
Those who beco Infiltrators are mostly people unwilling to confront the enemy head-on, choosing to cautiously wander from the environnt.
As for his deity's command to "fight until that guy is willing to calm down," indeed... was impossible!
This thought flashed through his mind, dealing him a heavy blow.
But his determination was even stronger in his heart.
He must escape.
As long as he's alive, there's still a chance to execute the missions assigned by his deity. After regaining his strength and understanding the regular attack thods of the Helois Monarch through this battle, he can prepare thoroughly for a one-on-one encounter, becoming more able to threaten him next ti.
And all of this assus he can survive!
Upon realizing this, the Black Sun Priest made an instant decision.
He imdiately spilled a large amount of corrupted blood mid-air, and under the blue-light glow of the force field barrier, a small shadow was cast on his priest robe.
The beat of this tiny shadow, no other, allowed him to shadow jump once more and instantly escape the tragedy of being directly crushed into mush by a force field barrier.
In the air, the terrifying kinetic energy generated by the collision of force field barriers swept out with a burst of air, raising dust everywhere.
It was as if soone had detonated a small bomb in mid-air.
And just at this mont, the Black Sun Priest jumped again to Kael's front, where he had to avoid the fate of being continuously attacked by the Floating Cannon, and in this brief mont, used a trump card to temporarily leave the battlefield.
However, when he used a magic scroll intending to teleport away long-distance in subspace, he found the scroll had signs of post-use paper damage, yet his body wasn't teleported away.
He hesitated, looking at Kael whose face carried a frosty expression, with faint light flashing at his fingertips, and at the center of his fingers hung a gigantic and intricately srizing array.
With the unfolding of the array, the desire to tear apart surrounding space to flee beca a luxury.
Even the Black Sun Priest clearly felt that after Kael activated the Magic Array, opening a portal to the Shadow World beca much more difficult.
Realizing a twist in events, he had to bear the massive consumption of Shadow Power, once again transitioning to a different position behind Kael.
The array, as expected was likely an Isolation Array, initially used to prevent powerful monsters from dungeons making dinsion jumps from out-of-control dungeons.
It is considered a rather high-level magic array even among mages, now this guy wielded it so effortlessly, no wonder every mage who saw the Helois Monarch said he's like a born magical monster.
However...
The Isolation Array can block spells using subspace as a pivot point for a secondary dinsion jump, but it couldn't isolate a secondary teleport based on the twin-shadow realm of the Divine Continent.
The Infiltrator's skillset, if so easily interfered with, Infiltrators wouldn't be playable... huh?
The Black Sun Priest who tore another [Shadow Realm Random Teleport] scroll was still not teleported away.
He hesitated, looking at Kael whose hands were still maintaining the [Isolation Array], clearly, he was not the one interfering with the [Shadow Realm Random Teleport].
However, with his keen perception, there was still no trace of anyone secretly interfering.
Such high-level spellcasting capability was sothing an ordinary archmage could not achieve.
Does Titan City have another magic monarch with spellcasting abilities nearing the Helois Monarch?
