Its friends eyes widen as they looked at the blood flowing down its neck then a goblin head severed from its body

A feminine voice filled the back streets while the others ran but Vice wasn’t worried, their screams were covered by the honking of cars and the faint sound of sirens
He smiled as he looked at the widen eyes that kept glancing back in his direction panting for air as they ran
His unseen figure reappeared in front of goblin glancing back at a dead friend then sothing pierced its body throwing it back to the others
"Nooo An.." Vice grinned at how they trembled as they stepped back their eyes dotting everywhere trying to find him
A hobgoblin dropped to its knee’s and prayed staring blankly into the air, the goblin behind it ran back leaving its kneeling friend
Vice smiled as he stood there waiting for it to finish its prayers, everything felt euphoric as he rembered why he liked stealth tactics, it was the horror people had in their eyes as they died facing the unknown that made this part of his life enjoyable
He stepped closer to the hobgoblin shivering clenching its hand together then

The muscles in neck severed before it could even speak, it prayers aningless yet they amused it’s killer as it fell on its side it saw a wide smile on a figure that appeared in front of it.
Vice vanished again running after the goblin that was turning the corner it’s breathing could be heard miles away
It’s steps unbalanced as it kept looking back at every step

Its body fell it looked back at the trash bag that had tripped it over, it pushed its arms against the ground then it saw armoured feet in front of it
It didn’t raise its head staring at the concrete ground it shut it’s eyes yet all it received was silence it opened one and the armoured feet were still there
It neck seed to have stiffened as it shock at every inch it raised its head, its eyes widen as it looked at the red eyes staring down at it
It saw judgent the silence felt as it a blade against its neck and the gaze was an unbearable weight on its shoulder it looked back at the ground every inch of its body trembling
Vice crouched down "don’t worry if I wanted you dead I would have done it a long ti ago" despite the sugercoated words he spoke in a deepened voice
"I want you to do sothing for and once we are done I won’t kill you" its arms still trembled and its lips quivered as they parted
"What can I help you with sir?" Vice smiled at he listened to its shaky voice
"We will make a mana contract for your safety" Vice touched it shivering arm letting his mana flow into it and he felt its mana enter his body "I won’t hurt you for 1 year"
