Suddenly, Envi took control of my body without warning, leaving utterly powerless. He strolled calmly toward Alia, who was visibly fuming. I could feel her jealousy radiating off her—probably because we hadn’t seen each other in a while, and she caught walking closely with Lyra, looking far too friendly for her comfort.

I couldn’t help but wonder what Envi was planning. Hopefully, he’d fix this ss. The last thing I wanted was to worsen things with Alia.

Envi stopped in front of her and, without hesitation, pushed her back against the wall. The space between their bodies disappeared in an instant.

"HEY, ENVI! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" I scread at him internally, completely bewildered by his actions.

"Shut up and watch, you idiot," Envi shot back, his tone dripping with smugness.

And then, before I could process what was happening, Envi pressed my lips against Alia’s. They were kissing.

Alia, who just monts ago was seething with jealousy and radiating a yandere aura, started to soften. Her tension lted away as she returned the kiss, wrapping her arms tightly around Envi. The longer they kissed, the calr she beca.

I was utterly stunned, my thoughts in chaos. "OH MY GOD, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THE PRINCESS, YOU PERVERTED SYSTEM?!"

"What? Don’t act so pure. You know this is working perfectly!" Envi retorted, completely ignoring my outrage.

Their kiss grew more intense before Alia finally pulled away, her expression transford. She looked radiant, like all her anger had been replaced with joy.

"I thought you’d forgotten about , Naoki... but you still care about so much. I’m so happy... I’ve missed you so much," Alia said, her voice trembling with emotion.

Her beauty under the moonlight left speechless. The cold, yandere look from before had completely vanished, replaced with a sweetness that made my heart skip a beat.

"See? I told you this would work! You’re so clueless, Nao. Let the pro handle this!" Envi gloated smugly in my head, clearly basking in his perceived victory.

But before I could react, Alia grabbed Envi’s hand and pulled him—no, —toward her room in Arsene’s house.

"Shall we continue inside, Naoki?" she asked teasingly, her tone suggestive.

"Absolutely, with pleasure—"

I quickly wrested back control of my body, cutting Envi off mid-sentence. There was no way I was letting this escalate any further.

"Ah, what I ant was, with all due respect, I must decline, Alia," I said gently, brushing her cheek to soften the rejection.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING, NAO?! YOU RUINED EVERYTHING! WE WERE SO CLOSE!" Envi fud in my mind, but I ignored him completely.

Alia blinked in surprise. "But... you seed so eager just now," she said, her voice tinged with confusion.

Taking a deep breath, I tried to explain. "I missed you too, Alia. But this... this is too fast. Sothing like this should happen with soone you truly love."

She looked at earnestly, her next words leaving frozen. "But I do love you, Naoki. I want it to be with you..."

Her confession struck like a bolt of lightning. I knew the truth—her feelings were for Naoki, the original owner of this body. Not , Takahiro Nao, who had reincarnated into it.

Alia then asked, almost playfully, if I was hesitating because of soone else—perhaps Lyra, who had been walking with earlier, or maybe even Freya.

I stumbled over my words, trying to find a response. She simply laughed, her voice light and carefree. "You know, I’ve already told you I don’t mind if you have other wives or concubines, as long as I’m with you."

Her straightforwardness turned my face bright red, and I hastily changed the subject, offering to escort her back to her chambers.

As we walked, Alia chuckled. "You’re so funny, Naoki. Sotis you’re like this wild, passionate man who can’t control himself, and other tis you’re this kind and innocent guy full of justice. It’s adorable." She paused, then added with a warm smile, "Maybe it’s because of your mory loss."

She turned to , her eyes filled with sincerity. "Naoki, even if you lose your mories, go mad, or turn into a demon, I’ll still love you."

Her words resonated deeply, and I couldn’t help but smile. "Thank you, Alia," I said softly. But deep down, I knew I couldn’t give her an answer yet. She seed to understand, nodding and saying she’d just keep teasing for now.

We parted ways with her laughing lightly, her figure disappearing into her room. As I made my way back to the dorms, my emotions were a tangled ss.

I cared deeply for my female friends, but the one I truly loved... was Serena von Winterfell. Yet, I couldn’t ignore how the others felt about Naoki. This body wasn’t mine—it belonged to Naoki von Blackmore.

I didn’t know if Naoki would ever return to this body, but I silently prayed he would. Even if it ant my disappearance, I wanted him to reunite with those who loved him so dearly.

...

The next day, the usual rhythm of learning resud at Braveheart Knight Academy.

I walked alongside Marius toward our 3-C classroom, the familiar hum of morning chatter filling the halls. As we stepped inside, we were greeted by familiar faces.

"Good morning, Naoki. Marius."

The voice was calm and composed—it was Luna, our class president. She nodded at us in greeting, her expression as neutral as ever.

"Morning, Luna," Marius replied cheerfully. I simply nodded back, knowing that Luna’s deanor hid how much she cared for the class.

"Naoki, over here!" Lyra’s warm voice called out to from her usual spot by the window. She waved enthusiastically, gesturing to the seat beside her.

"Guess she already claid you," Marius joked, smirking.

"Looks like it," I replied, grinning as I joined Lyra. Marius took the seat on my other side, completing our trio.

But sothing felt off.

Freya was missing from her usual spot. Normally, she would’ve bounded up to with her usual cheer, making so playful remark about how I was always late. Instead, I spotted her sitting across the room, away from us. She was with Kael, of all people.

"Naoki..." Lyra’s voice was softer now, drawing my attention. She looked at Freya, her expression tinged with sadness. "She didn’t even say good morning."

"She’s probably just... busy," I said, though the words felt hollow even as I said them. Freya was never too busy to greet Lyra.

"She’s avoiding us," Lyra murmured, her shoulders slumping slightly.

The atmosphere was heavy, but before I could say anything more, the door opened, and Professor Alden entered, signaling the start of class.

"Good morning, everyone," he said. "Today, we’ll continue where we left off, progressing to high-tier magic. Pay close attention—this level requires precision."

The lesson went smoothly, though I couldn’t fully focus. My mind kept drifting to Freya’s distant behavior and Lyra’s obvious sadness.

Then, as class was about to end, Professor Alden clapped his hands to gather our attention.

"Before you leave, I’d like to introduce soone who will be joining us temporarily," he announced.

The door opened again, and a man stepped inside.

The entire room fell silent.

The man exuded an aura of authority and charisma that demanded attention. His long red hair flowed behind him like flas, and his piercing gaze swept across the room. It was Cain von Flamore, one of the kingdom’s heroes.

Gasps echoed around the room as recognition dawned on everyone.

"No way... that’s the Cain von Flamore?" soone whispered.

"Wow... he’s even more handso in person..." a girl murmured, her cheeks flushing.

Cain stepped forward, his presence commanding every gaze. "It’s a pleasure to et you all," he said, his voice deep and smooth. "I’ll be serving as your swordsmanship instructor for the ti being. I look forward to working with you."

The female students were practically swooning.

But what happened next caught completely off guard.

Cain turned and walked directly toward Freya. He stopped in front of her and extended his hand. "Freya," he said, his tone softer, "would you join for a mont?"

The room erupted into whispers.

"Wait, is he asking Freya out?"

"Why her?!"

Freya looked at him calmly, then glanced briefly in my direction. Without hesitation, she placed her hand in his and stood up.

Lyra gasped beside . "Freya..."

I couldn’t stay seated. I shot up and intercepted Cain before he could leave. "Wait a second!" I said firmly, stepping in his path.

Cain turned his gaze to , his expression amused. "Oh? What is it, Naoki?"

"What are you doing with Freya?" I asked, my voice edged with frustration.

"She agreed to co with . Is there a problem?" he replied coolly.

"Yes, there’s a problem! You can’t just—"

Cain cut off with a chuckle. "Ah, I see. Naoki von Blackmore, my old rival." He smirked, leaning slightly toward . "You’re still clinging to that, are you? Back then, we were equals. Now..." He gestured vaguely, as if brushing aside. "You’re not even close."

His words made my blood boil, but I refused to back down. "Do you see as a rival or not, Cain?" I asked sharply.

Cain’s smirk widened. "Oh, I see you as a rival, all right." He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper only I could hear. "A rival in love. But let make sothing perfectly clear—I won’t let you have Freya."

His words hit like a thunderclap. Before I could respond, he straightened and walked past , leading Freya out of the classroom.

The room erupted into chaos.

Lyra grabbed my arm, her eyes wide with worry. "Naoki, what just happened? Why is Freya...?"

"I don’t know," I muttered, my thoughts racing. Cain’s challenge lingered in my mind, and Freya’s choice to leave with him left with a sinking feeling.

Whatever Cain’s intentions were, I couldn’t let him win.
