Alia’s POV:
Valg revealed an absolutely terrifying ability—[The Cursed of Eternal Stagnation]. No matter how many tis we defeated him, he would simply rewind ti within this area, resetting everything back to how it was one minute ago.
It was maddening.
What made it even more frustrating was that this ti reversal only affected our battlefield. I could still see Cain and his team clashing against Zorx at the far end of the boss room. Their fight continued unaffected, as if mocking the endless loop we were trapped in.
Again and again, Freya, Leopold, Luna, and Hendrik’s team launched relentless assaults against Valg. And again and again, we forced him to the ground, shattering his massive form. We had already done this five tis. But no matter how many tis we brought him down, the mont of victory was stolen from us. He would simply invoke his cursed magic, and everything would rewind.
My team was beginning to break. Their movents were slowing. Their breathing grew ragged. Their minds—fragile from the strain—were starting to falter. This endless battle was draining them, not just physically but ntally. The feeling of futility was sinking in.
I had to find a way. I had to break this loop!
While Freya, Luna, and Leopold kept Valg occupied, Lyra and Marius rushed over to . Their faces were grim, but their eyes burned with determination.
"I have an idea," Marius said between labored breaths.
Lyra nodded, gripping her staff tightly. "We may have a way to resist the ti curse."
I took a deep breath. "I still have one last trump card too."
The three of us exchanged glances before nodding in unison. This was our chance.
Without wasting another second, we moved into action.
Lyra began chanting an incantation, her voice resonating with power. A massive magic circle spread beneath us, glowing with divine light.
"[High Support Magic: Sanctuary of the Blessed]!"
A radiant golden barrier enveloped the battlefield, sending waves of warmth and resilience through our bodies. This was an advanced form of [Sanctuary], granting a 50% increase in resistance to status ailnts. If our theory was correct, this would raise our chances of resisting [The Cursed of Eternal Stagnation].
Then, without hesitation, Lyra switched to offensive magic. She raised her staff high, summoning swirling torrents of water infused with mana.
"[High Water Magic: Seventh Dragon of the Seas]!"
Seven massive water dragons surged forward, roaring as they coiled through the air and lunged at Valg.
But before the attack landed, I had already given my orders.
"Freya! Leopold! Get ready!"
Both of them nodded and channeled their flas, their swords igniting with raw power. At the perfect mont, they unleashed their combined technique.
"[Flamore Swordsmanship: Crimson Eruption]!"
A massive wave of crimson flas erupted, surging straight for Valg. The sheer force of their attack collided with Lyra’s water dragons, creating a violent explosion of steam and mist.
The thick fog blanketed the battlefield, obscuring Valg’s vision.
This was the opening we needed.
Luna dashed forward, her twin blades shimring with condensed solar energy. She twisted her body mid-air, her swords tracing arcs of light as she activated her strongest technique.
"[Solarblade Swordsmanship: Twin Sunfall, Full Burst]!"
Her swords moved in a blinding dance, focusing the concentrated solar energy into a single, precise detonation. Her blades cut deep into Valg’s already-weakened legs, severing his balance.
With a deafening crash, Valg fell.
I didn’t hesitate.
I leaped into the air, fist burning with divine magic.
"[Divine Magic: Holy Strike]!"
My punch connected with the full force of my magic. Valg’s monstrous face shattered, cracks spreading across his stony visage like a fractured mirror.
This was it.
He was going to use it again. [The Cursed of Eternal Stagnation].
I saw it in his movents—the cursed energy beginning to swirl around him, the black miasma coiling like an incoming storm. He was about to reset everything again.
But this ti—
A deafening roar erupted behind .
"I WON’T LET YOU!"
Marius appeared from behind, his battered body charging forward like an unstoppable force. His armor was cracked, his face sared with blood, but his determination blazed like a warrior’s final stand.
Marius focused his Aura Force, his energy surging like an unbreakable fortress. With a deep breath, he roared and slamd his shield into the ground.
"[High Tank Skill: Earthshatter]!"
The impact sent violent shockwaves rippling across the battlefield. The very foundation of the dungeon trembled as cracks spread beneath Valg’s monstrous feet. The force of the attack staggered the dungeon boss, knocking him off balance for five seconds and slowing his movents by fifty percent for the next ten.
For the first ti, Valg looked vulnerable.
This was our chance!
I didn’t hesitate. I had been waiting for this mont—the mont to unleash my strongest attack.
With a deep breath, I channeled every unleashed my new magic [High Divine Magic: Armor of the Seraph] into my body. A golden-white radiance enveloped , forming a majestic armor of shimring golden-white light. My knuckles glead with sacred energy, glowing so brightly that they illuminated the entire battlefield.
I could feel it—this power surging through . It was overwhelming, but I knew one thing for certain:
I could defeat this dungeon boss.
And more than anything—I wanted to prove it. To Naoki. To my team. To myself.
"[High Divine Magic: Sacred Fist, Divine Smite]!!"
A burst of golden flas erupted around my fists as I launched myself forward. My movents blurred as I closed the distance in an instant, my knuckles colliding with Valg’s colossal body at blinding speed.
Each strike carried the weight of sacred flas, exploding upon impact. A flurry of rapid, relentless punches crashed into Valg, one after another, sending divine energy surging through his form. My fists extended their reach beyond physical limits, stretching outward as radiant shockwaves pounded against his entire body.
UWOOOOHH!!
For the first ti, Valg scread—not in rage, but in despair.
The demonic elixir crystals embedded in his body cracked, then shattered, one by one. His monstrous form quivered, his once unshakable aura now flickering like a dying ember. The sheer force of my attack sent him flying, his massive body hurtling across the battlefield.
He crashed violently near Zorx—who had been locked in battle with Cain.
Zorx barely had ti to react before Valg’s body slamd into him, the residual divine energy still radiating off my attack transferring onto him. He gasped in pain, staggered, his body wracked with shockwaves from the impact.
For the first ti, both Valg and Zorx were motionless.
We did it.
I exhaled, my body trembling from the sheer amount of energy I had just expended. My team rushed to my side, their eyes wide with astonishnt. Cain and his group turned to us, equally stunned by what they had just witnessed.
But before we could celebrate—
A sudden shift in the air sent a chill down my spine.
A swirling magic circle materialized in front of us, its ominous glow pulsating with unstable energy.
And then—
Vorx was violently thrown from the portal, her massive form tumbling across the ground.
Blood. So much blood. Her body was covered in deep, jagged cuts, his flesh torn apart as if she had been rcilessly butchered. Her breathing was ragged, her once-demonic presence reduced to sothing fragile and broken.
And the one who had done this to her—
Stepped out of the portal.
A lone figure erged, his footsteps calm, unhurried.
Naoki.
He gazed at , his piercing eyes filled with quiet intensity. Then, a faint smirk crossed his lips.
"Good work, Alia."
My heart swelled at his words. He was back.
