Chapter 51 - Let Us Out
anwhile…
"This… Ahem… Little white?" Guan Ye ruffled his head and walked over to the clone, unable to swallow the irony in the na. "Are you sure that you want to stay here and not help you on the outside?"
Qin Hua's clone looked at Guan Ye, dazed for a mont, and nodded its head up and down.
"Alright then. I will help you out." The skinny young man did not question her any further and casually walked over to sit down next to her. He as well vigilantly kept an eye on Lu Chen and Su Yan.
"Hey. What the hell is this? What are you doing? Are you loose in the head??? That beast is going to tear you apart." One of the three n standing around couldn't handle this any longer and started shouting.
The loud banging noises that still echoed from outside, sounding as if the walls were going to crumble at any instant, also didn't help the situation. Everyone was very nervous and scared.
"I have had enough of this nonsense. I am going out now. I need to get out of here. Let go." Another one started shouting.
Even the two won who were standing also had expressions that said the sa thing. Everyone wanted to leave and they couldn't help but think that literally, any place was safer than this was.
Qin Hua's clone did not bother responding to them as she laid still and stared ahead with only one goal running in her head, to protect her two friends.
Guan Ye, on the other hand, glanced in their direction, his eyes almost as scary as the dog's.
"Nobody has chained you to the floor. Feel free to walk out whenever you want." He indifferently muttered. The ungrateful idiots did not even have the slightest clue what was happening and he did not intend to waste his breath talking to them.
"What do you an we can leave? The place is locked, damn it! OPEN THE DOOR!"
Heh. Guan Ye chuckled coldly. He looked at the person who started this outburst and calmly said, emphasizing each word as he spoke.
"The person who built the walls and the door is already dead." He even pointed to a lump of flesh nearby to get his statent across.
The person flinched at the sight of the dead body, his body trembling. "Listen man. I don't want any trouble. I am just scared. I just want to get out of here. Please tell how to leave." This ti his tone was a lot different.
Guan Ye, however, was still indifferent to his plight. Nevertheless, he shrugged his shoulders and replied. "If you want to leave, you can use the elevator and go to one of the top floors and use the fire exit."
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much." The man who was seemingly in his thirties sighed in relief and imdiately started walking to the elevator.
Taking him as their role model, the other two n and the two won also silently lowered their heads and started following him, leaving behind only Guan Ye, Xu ilin, Alex, and of course, Qin Hua's shadow clone.
The elevator dinged and the group quickly shuffled their feet and entered inside in a hurry as soon as the doors opened. They randomly pressed a button for one of the top floors and seconds later disappeared without making a sound.
The banging noises from the outside had also stopped so the entire apartnt complex was now enveloped in an ominous silence except for the whirring sound of the elevator.
"Do you think that they are really going outside?" Xu ilin asked Alex, craning her neck upwards as if she could hear what is happening if she simply looked up.
"It doesn't matter to us." Alex replied. "As long as they stay out of our way, why should we care?"
She looked at Lu Chen and then at Su Yan and then her gaze eventually settled on Guan Ye. He seed like a cold and silent person but then considering their current situation probably almost everyone was like this, afraid to let their guard down.
"Umm… Hi. I am Alex." She introduced herself, to which Guan Ye politely nodded.
"This is Xu ilin. We were both fighting along with our friends here until this whole thing happened. We are originally residents of this place."
"Do you also live in the apartnt complex? I have never seen you around?" She probed to find out more about him.
Guan Ye shook his head with a bitter smile. "I am not rich enough to live here. I was just delivering food in this area for my part-ti job."
"Ah, I see." Alex nodded. She also smiled and added. "None of that matters now. You are strong now and that's what is important."
While the three of them chatted, suddenly a deafening bang echoed and one of the barricaded walls of the lounge area blasted apart, a huge gaping hole now staring at their face.
