New Event: Global Dungeons Daily Releases

"It's empty?"

Chen Tianyu was shocked. He looked at the empty inside of the coffin.

When they heard this, many of the clan mbers quickly gathered around to see for themselves.

When they saw that there truly was nothing inside the coffin, quite a few of them let out sighs of disappointnt.

They had already prepared themselves emotionally—but it was empty. That was much less exciting than a thousand-year-old corpse suddenly appearing!

But Chen Tianyu started to feel a little better. It's good to be empty.

"Empty" ans there would be no extra risks or unexpected dangers. Even though he had already reached the Innate Realm, this ruin was very old. If they were in danger, he worried that he wouldn't be able to protect everyone.

Still, as he looked at the coffin—which seed very old, but was not at all decayed—he felt a little excited.

Chen Qinghe spoke up with a serious expression on the side.

"Second Uncle, it would be a waste to leave such a nice coffin here. Why not take it back and let the clan use it?"

"My father still seems to be missing one..."

"……."

The clan mbers present were silent when they heard this. But after thinking for a mont, Chen Tianyu ordered the coffin to be taken back.

But it wasn't ant for the clan mbers to use. After all, the clan was already very small.

Instead, he thought the coffin's material was strange and might be worth sothing. We won't know what that value was until they return to the clan. Then, other people can study it more.

"Okay, keep digging!"

"What? The Shi family is working with the Xie family?

When Chen Xingzhen got the news from Yong'an City, he was very surprised.

However, he was not doubtful about the news. After all, this information had been sent back by clan mbers through prayer to the Divine Tree, so it was definitely true.

Even so, Chen Xingzhen was still quite astonished by the alliance between the two great families.

The Xie and Shi families were already powerful, and it was clear why they were working together.

The two families are working together, and it will be hard for the Gan and Shen families to continue fighting. This is especially true because the Xie family now has a martial artist at the Qi Manipulation Realm.

Chen Xingzhen was confused. He didn't understand why the Shi family decided to team up with the Xie family. When the lips are gone, the teeth grow cold. The Shi family surely understood this principle.

Maybe the Shi family had their own plan to deal with the Xie family's Qi Manipulation Realm, and they weren't worried about it at all.

After thinking about it, Chen Xingzhen ca to this conclusion.

Any family that could make it in Yong'an City must have its own secret history.

Chen Xingzhen didn't care about what would happen to the Shen or Gan families. But he needed to think about how this would affect his own clan.

Right now, the clan and the Shi family were at war with each other. If the alliance between the Xie and Shi families is successful this ti—if they manage to completely defeat the other two great families—then the Shi family will inevitably turn their attention to his own clan.

In the past, the Shi family could still count on the Xie family to help keep the Shi family under control. But now, that hope seed very unlikely.

Between families, there were no lifelong friends—only lifelong interests.

At first, it was good for the clan that the four great families kept an eye on each other and were cautious of each other. After all, each family had its own plans, and it was unlikely for them to truly co together as one. But when Yong'an City was left with only two great families, things would change for the clan.

Unfortunately, the clan was located far from Yong'an City, and it was much weaker than the four great families. Even if they wanted to get involved, they couldn't make any big changes.

Right now, the clan is just waiting and watching.

Luckily, the Zhou family was still supporting the clan. The Zhou family has a good reputation, so even the Xie and Shi families would probably think twice before acting rashly.

Looking back, the clan was indeed quite fortunate.

If the Zhou family had not been the first to co into contact with the clan, and if the four great families of Yong'an City had been the ones to do so, then the clan would probably already have been caught up in the struggles among those four great powers by now.

But even so, the Zhou family would not be the clan's support forever. If the clan wanted to solve its problems, it would need to rely on its own strength to beco stronger.

"I wonder when Xingsong will finally return."

Chen Xingzhen looked out into the distance, and he saw a little hope in his eyes.

When the clan moved, a lot of people left—much more than there are now. If they could find and bring back all the dead n, the clan would beco much stronger.

But Chen Xingzhen knew this was just wishful thinking. The journey had been long and difficult, and so much ti had passed that even the graves from back then were probably buried and lost.

"Clan brothers? Uncle? Second aunt? Ancestor? Where are you all?

"Answer —quickly, co out and answer !

"Xingsong has co to find you. I've co to take you all ho!"

On a lonely road through the wilderness, there were thorny bushes everywhere.

A man with a knife was cutting through the thorns. He was yelling as he worked.

This man was Chen Xingsong, who had left the clan to look for other mbers.

Even though more than twenty years had gone by, he could still rember everything that had happened.

His constant travel had quickly brought him to one of the temporary stopping points the clan had used before moving to Chaotic Burial Mountain.

However, during the migration, several clan mbers died suddenly. Among them were one of his cousins and even his second aunt!

But as ti passed and things changed, the clearing that the clan had carefully cleared out was now filled in with thorny bushes. Because of this, Chen Xingsong couldn't tell exactly where he was. Right now, he couldn't do anything except walk around without a clear purpose, hoping that one of his clan mbers would answer his calls.

Just as Chen Xingsong was about to climb a tree to look around from above, he felt a sudden warmth in his chest.

He quickly reached into his robes and took out a pitch-black locust leaf.

He rembered the clan leader telling him that this locust leaf could help him find the clansn who had died.

Right now, a faint glow is appearing on the black locust leaf. At the sa ti, he felt a slight burning feeling in his palm.

Chen Xingsong was very happy. As expected, the locust leaf from the clan's Divine Tree had amazing effects.

Chen Xingsong quickly took the locust leaf and started walking in one direction.

When he realized the locust leaf in his hand wasn't hot anymore, Chen Xingsong decided to change course and keep going.

Chen Xingsong followed the locust leaf's guidance, pushing through the brambles and cutting his way through the thick bushes. He soon arrived at a hillside.

At this mont, the locust leaf in his hand was shining and had already grown hot to the touch. But when Chen Xingsong looked around, his eyes showed that he was still confused.

If he rembered correctly, the clan had buried those few clansn back then—so why could he see nothing now?

Could the locust leaf's guidance have been wrong?

Chen Xingsong was confused.

But when he looked down, he froze for a mont.

This hillside... it seed familiar.
