I was stunned, like, really stunned. I know that my grandfather has a car vintage Porsche but I didn't expect that it is actually his car!
"Sir? Are you okay?"
The female custor in front of realized that my expression was filled with shock.
"I- I'm fine."
I instinctively respond, trying my best to keep my business smile. However, I failed to hide the shock in my eyes.
I glanced at my grandfather who was getting closer. His driver was next to him, following him very seriously.
I swallowed hard. My father and grandfather are strict people. I'm afraid grandfather will berate , heck, he might raise his cane and smack !
I was gone for almost six years! I never showed myself to them. I didn't know what reaction I should show. And I didn't what reaction my grandfather would show.
I watched my grandfather getting close... My grandfather was not walking fast, probably because of his age.
"Boss, this our last burger!"
Waylen tapped my shoulder and I almost jumped. I looked at Waylen who inford . He was confused at my reaction.
I nodded.
"A- Alright. I'm sir guys but the burgers are no more. We are going to close at 4 p.m. I'm very sorry."
Realizing that the burgers are sold out, there's no reason to keep the shop open. I apologized to the custors who were waiting in line.
So of them are disappointed. Thankfully, no one caused a ruckus. They understood that they had another chance to buy burgers tomorrow.
I sighed.
Once the custors who were sitting in the shop are gone, we will close the shop and clean the place.
However... Closing the shop can wait. I have to greet my grandfather first.
"Santiago, take care of the shop. I'm going to greet soone."
"Okay, brother-in-law."
Santiago glanced at . He sensed that I was acting strange. He nodded and took off his apron.
I left the cash register. As the custors dispersed in disappointnt, I walked and approached my grandfather whom I hadn't seen for a long ti.
It would be a lie if I said I'm not happy. I miss my grandfather. As the youngest grandson, they pamper a lot. Perhaps that's the reason I beca spoiled and didn't take education seriously.
Of course, my grandfather is very strict. If I did sothing wrong, his cane would not hesitate to smack my back.
Grandfather smirked when he saw my expression.
"Keith looks like you beca a better man."
"Grandpa..." I muttered and extended my hand.
Grandfather let touch his hand and I bowed, putting my forehead on the back of his hand, showing my respect.
"Hm." Grandfather nodded, smiling.
"Now, I should have smacked you for running away and leaving your family behind but that can wait. For now, I want to see your shop."
"Yes..."
I teared up. I am like a lost child who was happy to et his grandfather. Of course, I'm tearing up because I might be beaten up later.
Damn, I'm already old but I'm still scared of my grandfather's cane.
"Keith... Keith Castillo? You're Keith Castillo!?"
The driver realized who I was. I nodded.
"That's right, Uncle Torres. It's , Keith."
Perhaps my beard might be the reason why the driver didn't recognize . Uncle Torres is the driver of my grandfather, he worked under my grandfather for so many years. When I was born, Uncle Torres was already a driver of my grandfather.
People in the mansion usually call him Uncle Torres so I call him Uncle as well.
"Y- You changed so much!"
"Haha, Torres. Looks like you have poor eyesight more than !"
Grandfather laughed.
I assisted my grandfather to the shop. Most of the custors are already gone. They are eating burgers so it's not that long.
When my workers realized that I was assisting an old person, they looked at us for a second before returning to their jobs.
Santiago and Waylen didn't have strong reactions but Old Man Jim is different.
When he saw grandfather, he was shocked and imdiately stopped his work.
"C- Chairman!"
Old Man Jim greeted my grandfather with respect.
"Chairman?"
Well, having four companies that earn millions every year, I think there's nothing wrong with my grandfather being a Chairman.
"Chairman my ass, I never like that position. My two sons kept saying that we should form a conglorate, hah! Let them decide on their own!"
Seeing my grandfather's reaction, I guess Chairman is nothing more than a nickna that the employees gave to him.
Based on what I can see, Old Man Jim knew my grandfather. Perhaps they know each other?
"Anyway, who are you? How did you know ?"
Grandfather frowned.
I guess I'm wrong. Grandfather didn't know Old Man Jim.
"I'm Jim Iglesias. I was a mason in Castillo Construction!"
"Hm, I never showed my face in the construction for almost seven years now. I never leave the mansion most of the ti."
"Chair- I an, Sir, I was working in Castillo Construction for a decade and I saw you once in a while."
"Is that so? That's good then. Based on what I can see, you are working for my grandson now. Please take care of my grandson."
"Y- Yes Sir!"
Being 'praised' by my grandfather, Old Man Jim couldn't help but be surprised.
As for Santiago and Waylen, they were shocked when they realized that the old man I was assisting was actually my grandfather.
Both of them knew that I was from a rich family and my grandfather owned many businesses.
Perhaps because of the difference in status, Santiago and Waylen greeted my grandfather respectfully.
Grandfather nodded and entered the shop, inspecting my business. I could not help but be nervous. After all, my grandfather is a very good businessman and I'm afraid he will scold .
