Ever since Doraemon ca back, my intimate interactions with Mom pretty much stopped. She wouldn't let get up to any mischief while Doraemon was around. So I focused my attention on my career instead. That manga I created has been a huge hit, bringing in massive profits.
Checking my bank account now, the balance is in the billions of yen. And it keeps growing. I guess you could say I'm not hurting for money anymore - I've got more than so publicly traded companies!
I renad that company I acquired to "Nobita Entertainnt, Inc."
Why? It's easy to rember and lets everyone know it's my company. Even though it's technically an entertainnt company, right now it mostly just handles rchandise and distribution for my works. I was planning to have them produce the ani and movies too, but the company is still too small and doesn't have the right connections. So I had to give the ani rights to Tokyo TV. I'm holding onto the movie rights for now - maybe I can do sothing with those in the future.
But now that I've got all this money, I've started thinking about other things. Like how to stay alive. It suddenly hit that Doraemon's world isn't exactly the safest place. Without us going on adventures to save the world, forget living happily - the entire human race and planet Earth would be dood!
So as the savior of the world, don't I deserve to have a harem? I'm risking my life here, after all!
Ahem, anyway... those adventures are still necessary, or else the tiline might get all weird. But they're not easy - we're constantly fighting demon kings, evil emperors, dinosaur people, even taking on entire countries full of robots with just a few people.
It's insane!
Without Doraemon and my protagonist plot armor, even a hundred Dekisugi's wouldn't stand a chance.
I figure it's safest to stick to the original storyline. But to be extra careful and protect my life (and maybe achieve that harem dream), I need to level up my abilities. Having real power is the only way to get things done. Without it, all my plans would crumble if I ever had to fight for my life.
As for improving my skills, I've got ranged combat covered. My innate max-level sharpshooter ability is already universe-class, can't get any better than that.
At first I thought I'd lost it when I ca to this world, but after trying it out, I found it was not only still there, but even better due to my increased strength and steadier grip.
The cat's cradle skill seems useless, but I've found ways to apply it - like bandaging wounds super easily. I can also do all kinds of rope tricks now, from elaborate knots to setting traps. Anything involving ropes, I can learn crazy fast. I even looked up advanced rope techniques online to practice.
Then there's the ability to fall asleep instantly. Great for quick recovery, though I don't sleep in as late as I used to. Still a handy skill.
But I need to round out my abilities more. Like close combat - I want to improve my swordsmanship. I've got a talent for it in the ani, even crossing swords with the legendary Miyamoto Musashi.
So I asked Doraemon if he had anything that could help. He pulled out an item right away:
"The Sword of Denkomaru!"
I was confused at first - it looked like a toy sword. But Doraemon explained: "Denkomaru can theoretically block any attack. Wielding it gives you master-level swordsmanship. When electrified, it turns gold and activates."
"But how does that help learn swordsmanship?" I asked.
"By using it, you're essentially carrying around a master swordsman as a teacher," Doraemon said. "If you practice following its movents and correct your form, you'll beco a skilled swordsman in no ti. Reaching true mastery beyond that will take your own effort though."
"I see, got it!" I nodded and took the blade. It really did look like a toy, but when I turned on the power, it effortlessly sliced through everything Doraemon tossed at , guiding my movents.
"That's amazing!" I couldn't help but exclaim.
"Oh yeah, Doraemon, what about that E.S.P Training Box?" I asked next.
Yep, my other thod for powering up is psychic abilities. They're relatively easy to obtain in Doraemon's world and great for boosting magical attacks and defenses. I'm basically treating psychic powers as magic, even though they're technically scientific. But they're the only non-physical combat skills available.
The psychic powers include telekinesis, teleportation, and clairvoyance. Perfect for offense, defense, mobility, and reconnaissance. Super versatile. The only downside is needing to train 3 hours a day for 3 years. But if I master them, I'll be like a mini Holander!
At the highest levels, I could create psychic barriers, mind control enemies, maybe even pull off Pain's Almighty Push or Fujitora's teor strikes from One Piece. Demon kings and emperors would be nothing - I'd smack them all down single-handedly!
And if they're hard to kill? I'll just keep killing them over and over!
Ahem, I'm getting carried away. Back to reality.
I looked at Doraemon expectantly.
"Geez, you haven't even mastered swordsmanship yet and you're already aiming higher," he grumbled. But he still reached into his 4D pocket and pulled out the E.S.P Training Box.
"This kit can teach you telekinesis, teleportation, and Clairvoyance," he explained. "But you need to practice 3 hours every day for 3 full years to fully master them."
"You have to stick with it consistently," he warned. "No getting bored after three days and giving up!"
"Alright, alright, I get it," I said with a sigh.
Doraemon set the box down on the tatami mat and had start my psychic training right away.
