"System extract all the souls from this orb." Shido said.

Ding!

[Extracting Initiated.]

A faint hum resonated from the Cursed Soul Vault as the system activated, shadows flickering briefly across its surface.

Ding!

[Extracting Complete.]

Ding!

[You have received 300,000 Soul Fragnts.]

A series of notification rang from his mind as the system began the process of extracting all the souls from this artifact.

Shido’s lips curved into a satisfied smile.

After receiving the notification that the extraction was complete, Shido checked his SF balance. The original amount of around 100,000 had now surged to 400,000 Soul Fragnts. With this much SF, he could have summoned most of his girls for Date Alive but he wouldn’t do it for now and it would be better to save more SF if ever sothing unexpected happen.

With this much SF, he could easily summon most of the girls from Date A Live if he wanted to. However, he decided against it for now. It would be wiser to save up even more SF in case sothing unexpected happened in the future.

Besides, even if he chose not to use his SF to summon Tohka and the others for the ti being, Shido still had his last Random Summon Ticket as another option if he needed additional help.

Satisfied with the extraction, Shido placed the now-empty Cursed Soul Vault back into his inventory. Even without the souls inside, it remained a valuable asset. After all, its ability to seal beings, especially angels and devils, made it far more useful than most items in his collection.

Thinking about angels and devils, Shido found himself wondering which world he would encounter those beings in. Many worlds had such existences, but they would undoubtedly be within worlds steeped in fantasy.

After placing the orb back into his inventory, Shido decided to teleport to an open plain, a place far from the eyes of humans or the presence of monsters. A quiet, empty expanse where he could act without interruption.

As for what he intended to do there...

Well, that would be revealed soon enough.

...

Great Forest of Tob

Shido stood alone in a grassy plain, the breeze brushing against him as he gazed into the distance. The towering peaks of the Azerlisia Mountains were clearly visible from where he stood, their snow-capped ridges gleaming under the light.

The area was quiet, with no humans or monsters in sight and it was the perfect place for what he was about to do.

A glint appeared in Shido’s eyes. It had been a while since he last used a Random Summon Ticket, with Rumia being his first summon. Although he had been tempted many tis to use his last ticket, he had chosen to wait for the right mont.

And now is the ti.

Retrieving the Random Summon Ticket from his inventory, Shido held it up for a mont before activating it. The ticket disintegrated in the air, scattering into shimring particles.

A golden glow burst forth in front of him, illuminating the quiet plain.

Shido’s heart pounded with a mix of nerves and anticipation as he watched the golden light swirl and gather. This color ant only one thing.

An SSR-class summon.

A summon far stronger than elite summons.

The golden light intensified, so bright that it was almost blinding, but Shido didn’t look away. His eyes stayed fixed on the phenonon in front of him, watching intently as the summoning reached its peak.

Within the swirling radiance, a silhouette began to take shape, a slender figure, unmistakably that of a girl. The light rippled around her like molten gold, outlining her form as it slowly solidified.

As the brilliance began to fade, the figure beca clearer, revealing a girl floating gracefully in the air. Her hair fluttered softly, catching the last glimrs of light before she slowly descended, her feet touching the grassy ground with quiet elegance.

Shido’s eyes narrowed as he observe her.

The girl slowly opened her eyes, revealing beautiful erald pupils that seed to shimr under the light, montarily srizing Shido. She was short, her stature reaching just about his shoulder, and wore a pristine white mage robe with golden trims layered over a black-and-white striped shirt. A pair of black leggings, which contrasted with her youthful appearance, hugged her slender legs, tucked neatly into brown boots.

Over her robe, she wore a white jacket adorned with gold accents, topped with a short cape in gold and red, adding to her dignified yet youthful aura.

Her silver hair, styled into neat pigtails, frad her petite face, while long, pointed ears peeked through, unmistakably marking her as an elf. She wore red drop earrings, the color standing out vividly against her silver hair and pale skin.

Shido found himself montarily stunned by her appearance, taking in every detail as the breeze gently rustled her cape.

Then, the girl lifted her gaze, her erald eyes eting Shido’s with calm composure.

"Greetings, Master."

Her voice was soft yet clear, carrying a hint of familiarity and curiosity that made Shido’s heart skip for a mont.

...

"Mnn~"

Shido sat near the window of the tavern, quietly observing the girl he had summoned, watching as she ate with clear delight. His lips twitched as he eyed the mountain of at piled high on her plate, each piece vanishing one after another as she continued to eat.

"Can you really finish all of that, Frieren?" Shido asked, unable to hold back his question any longer.

The girl, who had introduced herself as Frieren, didn’t even pause, her erald eyes still fixed on her food as she continued to munch.

"Yes. It’s easy," Frieren replied, her voice calm despite her mouth being full, clearly too absorbed in her al to care about anything else at the mont.

"Don’t you have any questions you want to ask?" Shido asked, watching the elf in front of him who seed to care about nothing but the food piled on her plate.

After all, anyone would normally be shocked, or at least confused, if they were suddenly summoned to another world without their consent.

But Frieren didn’t seem to care about that.

Not right now, anyway.

Recalling what happened earlier during the summoning, Shido let out a small sigh, rembering her of her sloppy behavior.

After greeting Shido, Frieren suddenly collapsed, her small body falling forward onto the grassy ground.

Shido’s eyes widened, and he quickly moved to catch her before she hit the ground, gently supporting her in his arms.

"Hey! Are you alright?" Shido asked, concern flashing across his face as he wondered if she was sick or suffering from so hidden illness.

But her response left him speechless.

"H-Hungry..." she muttered weakly.

"Ha?"

"...I need food."
