"Even if I die, Young Master, I will always be loyal to you. I vow on my Energy Core."
Hearing Dreck's words, Ryuk felt sowhat satisfied. However, understanding the ti it took for him to finally subdue one of the cloaked figures, he commanded that man, "Take that one with you and deliver this ssage to her."
Ryuk conveyed the ssage he wanted the man to deliver to Drishti, before turning towards Dreck, "I will go to the Central Library after eting with the Crawfords."
Without waiting for a response, Ryuk promptly made his way out of the room, his thoughts turning to the Crawfords who were still standing outside the mansion with other people.
Indeed, there were important matters he needed to address to ensure the future unfolded smoothly.
There had been several instances up to now where so of his plans for the future had been rendered useless due to unforeseen variables in his path.
However, the thought of relaxing, anticipating that his plan might fail again, was not sothing Ryuk could afford in the slightest.
He would keep trying and trying while facing these series of trials until one day, he achieves what he desires.
....
"Y-Young Master!" Adrian's gaze fell on the young man leaving the mansion, followed by Dreck and other Chandlers, directly moving towards him with his family mbers except his sister, who went back.
Until now, all of them had patiently waited, not intervening in the battle, aware that there were chances of facing retaliation from Lady Drishti if they offended her, directly causing their Young Master's eligibility for Flagbearer to beco null.
"Adrian, I heard the Crawfords have the most battleships among all the Branch Families." Seeing the approaching figure of Adrian, Ryuk spoke, recalling the information he had gotten from the files provided by Maya about them possessing 35 BattleShips.
Taking a glance towards the other branch family mbers standing there, Ryuk felt satisfied 'It should keep them in check'
After using the Grimoire to subdue that black-cloaked man, instead of just increasing the pain's intensity to make things faster, he intentionally prolonged his suffering till the night.
Why?
Primarily for two reasons: The first was to instill fear in the hearts of all the branch family mbers waiting for him outside the mansion by making them hear the lung-tearing screams of a Peak Legendary Perfect Veteran for straight twelve hours.
After all, he couldn't keep using the Grimoire on all these people one by one due to lack of ti.
And, seeing the contracted deanor, horror etched on their faces with that averting gaze, it all seed worth it.
The second reason was for him to learn about the blueprint of the battleship. He had made the system scan it, since he saw that technology for the first ti.
That's why it took him a whole eleven hours to understand it's architecture and working principle.
And the remaining one hour, he strategized the foundation he should leave behind in Ardoros until he remains outside of it for those 14 years.
"Y-yes, Young Master." Adrian felt sowhat proud, hearing the only remaining thing that sowhat still kept Crawford at the fourth strongest branch family even after their fallen ranks.
"But, they are useless without an energy source, Young Master," Noah interrupted their conversation, noticing his father glancing at Chandler, which ant if the Young Master ordered to activate those ships, then they would have to sell so of them to Chandler in hopes of getting an energy source.
Due to the distance between continents, it was not possible for them to travel through others to get enough amount of energy crystals in large quantity, due to the energy consumption of one such battleship being higher than any lower-rank continents could afford.
"You don't need to worry about the energy source. Lady Drishti has promised us that," Ryuk said, a small smile forming on his face, not forgetting to get compensation from the higher-ups who sent a whole battleship and destroyed his Spire's Ether Crystal along with it.
They destroyed the Ether Crystal, so they need to compensate, right?
"R-really?!" Adrian's eyes widened upon hearing his Young Master's words, prompting him to turn towards Dreck for confirmation. However, seeing Dreck averting his gaze, Adrian felt confused.
Unbeknownst to him, Dreck was also present in the room where their respected Young Master had sent a ssage to Drishti Devereaux, requesting compensation for his Spire and Energy Crystal.
Did he believe that Lady Drishti would accept that request?
Absolutely.
"T-then, it's very good! Lady Drishti is really magnanimous!" one of the branch family mbers shouted, hoping to create a chain reaction of applause.
GASP
But what awaited him were unison gasps from all the other mbers there, shocked by the understanding behind those words, which indirectly suggested how Lady Drishti showed rcy to a weakling like their Young Master—one's mouth is root of all suffering.
"Indeed, she is," Ryuk said, feeling a sharp gaze on him, realizing the ssage had been delivered much sooner than he anticipated.
Not much for the speed of a Legendary Peak Ranker.
"Adrian, show the engineers who are in charge of your battleships," Ryuk said, not delaying things and getting directly to the point.
He was aware of Drishti's sharp gaze on him, but due to his ability to nullify it, she could only see the surrounding things while he would appear absent from there, more like invisible to her.
"....This way, Young Master," Adrian slightly glanced at Dreck Chandler, understanding that he would also be accompanying them inside the base where all the battleships were present, sothing he didn't want due to their previous rivalry.
"Dreck, I want you to go et Lady Drishti, also take those people and ask her for Compensation." Understanding the body language of the Crawfords and prioritizing his own interests, Ryuk directly sent Dreck out of that place with selected four mbers among all the hundreds—a simple way to get rid of so spies without tainting his hands.
"I will do it then," Dreck, also feeling awkward, followed by the branch family mbers at his side, moved out from that place, leaving behind Ryuk and the Crawfords.
Ryuk then followed Adrian to their base where the battleships were stored, understanding the enormous size that the space must be, making it necessary for all of the ships to be stored underground.

SWISH
A streak of light moved toward the Main Family's fortress, arriving directly outside the main door before swiftly entering a room through the long hallway.
knock knock
".....Co in."
A soft yet lazy voice emanated from the room, inviting the black-cloaked figure inside as he carried another on his shoulder.
Krieeeek
Upon opening the door, he was greeted by a vast room filled with several items.
However, instead of focusing on the treasures, his gaze settled on silky curtains surrounding a large bed in the corner of the room.
He slowly made his way over, then knelt, placing the body from his shoulder on the floor, his fist in the knelt position.
"It's surprising that he left you alive." Looking at the man in front of her, Drishti felt amused, noticing changes in both of her subjects.
The dead one had a missing energy core, and the alive one appeared broken.
Hollow eyes, an exhausted soul, and dry skin—all pointed to the enormous pain he had endured.
The kneeling man felt the day's tornt might finally bring him so relief. He sought peace, even as the residual sensation of tornt lingered in every cell of his body, reminding him of the day's suffering, not wanting to delay in getting eternal relief, he spoke,
"I have a ssage for you, Lady Drishti."
