Her face was devoid of any expression, her cold athyst eyes fixed on the envelope.

Other major families never married their daughters into this family, fearing they might taint the God's Bloodline, at least according to the official statent given by other families.
The reason for referring to it as the God's bloodline was its ability—Adaptation.
This simple word was enough to make its user stronger in any environnt, providing abilities like rapid learning, enhanced physical adaptation, psychological adaptability, environntal adaptation, enhanced perception, adaptive combat skills, social adaptation, and molecular adaptation.
Adaptation provided them with abilities similar to those of the other three families as well: shape-shifting according to environntal needs(akin to the Riantain Bloodline); rapid learning(similar to the Devereaux Family); and psychological adaptability, (resembling the psychic abilities awakened by the Tenebri Bloodline.)
Though not at the level of the original abilities, these adaptations were still sufficient to elevate them to the peak on Blue Star.
Normally, none of the major families in history ever married soone from another major family due to their high-level bloodlines and the animosity they held for each other.
However, if such a marriage were to occur, the Abernathy family would be the last choice, due to only one very small drawback...
