[Elena's Loyalty has increased massively: 58 -> 72.]

Last night had definitely been a success. I had only expected to sleep but instead I had spent the whole night with Elena's body pressing against mine with a thin piece of cloth separating our bodies.

She had been wearing a very thin nightgown that was practically see-through, given the lack of light I hadn't been able to see anything. But I had felt when I slipped my hand under it and cupped one of her breast.

I could still rember when her Loyalty had gone down a few days and let's just say that it was old news since I had been able to modify so of her mories, making her push those doubts about to the back of her mind.

Elena was now becoming more and more loyal and also obedient around , which was exactly what I had been looking for.

But, in no way did that an that I could slack.

Tomorrow, the tournant would begin.

And I would have to show the King and everyone who had high hopes in that I was ready for it. I needed to reach the Top 128. Otherwise, I would be deed a failure and this new chance at life would be thrown to the trash.

That's why as soon as the sun rose, I slipped out of bed, making sure not to wake up Elena, put on so clothes and imdiately t with Seraphina again who had been waiting inside of the gym, her crimson eyes locking onto with her long red hair cascading down her back.

She was still as pretty as yesterday and more importantly, she had not told the King about my underwhelming strength.

The reason for that being my talent. Yesterday, I had managed to have over 50% of Comprehension over Blink.

Based on the reaction of Lady Seraphina, a Eight Mana Circle Mage, I knew that it was quite the feat. Sothing that probably no one had ever achieved in their life. And I had managed to do it simply because of a strange quest sent from an unknown god.

A god which even now I couldn't help but thank.

"Took you long enough." She smirked. "Rough night?"

I smirked back. "You could say that."

"Mhm. Well, we don't have any ti to waste. As of now, the two spells you have sowhat mastered to a decent level are Fireball and Blink. They are definitely not bad and you will definitely be able to get inside of the Royal Academy with the help of those two spells as long as you use them correctly. But..."

There just had be a freacking "but" in her sentence. It couldn't be all positive.

"Going further than that will be hard. The King has ordered to train you to make sure that you would win the whole tournant. But it's clear that with your current skills, you will fall short. Especially given the talent that will be coming into the Royal Academy this year."

I rolled my eyes.

It just had to be a year of geniuses. Just how bad could my luck even get.

"Luckily, the tournant will last around a week, which ans that you will be able to prepare for each match of yours where I will personally tell you all of your opponent weak points."

I nodded.

I was lucky to have Seraphina. I would have been completely lost without her.

"How high do you think my chances are to win the whole thing?"

She glanced away in silence. "Truthfully, don't take this the wrong way, but unless a miracle happens. You have barely a one percent chance of winning."

I clicked my tongue. "Should I try to learn spell with the Ti Affinity and the Darkness one?"

"I don't think that would be worth it. You learn best from watching and unfortunately, I can't use those affinities. Instead, I will teach you a Legendary-Ranked Spell. Usually, only grasping a few percent would take weeks. But given your talent, there is a small chance that you will be able to use it before the end of the tournant."

'A legendary skill?' I thought in the back of my mind with a smirk.

I knew I could count on her.

Fuck yeah.

I might actually have a chance of winning this whole thing.

"What is it? Can you show ?"

"I can... but we'll have to outside. Using it in here would... probably destroy the entirety of the gym."

My eyes widened.

What kind of completely busted spell was she going to show .

Would I even have enough mana to use it?

Tons of questions appeared in the back of my mind as we headed outside into the personal garden of the Royal Family. A few guards looked at us strangely, however, when they saw Lady Seraphina, they only nodded, respecting her.

"I'll shoot it into the sky. To make sure that I don't create a crater in the backyard of the king. Ready?"

I nodded and focused on her Mana Core, her Mana Circuits, her Mana Output. Everything that would help reuse the spell.

"I won't be able to use it as many tis as Blink, so make sure to give it your whole attention, understood?"

"Yes."

Seraphina closed her eyes for a brief mont, and the air around her shifted. It thickened—vibrated—as if space itself was holding its breath.

Then, her eyes snapped open, glowing faintly with golden intensity, and fire erupted around her hand in a spiral of blazing heat. The ground beneath her cracked with the pressure of her Mana Output, molten energy seeping between the tiles.

With a single motion, she raised her arm toward the heavens, her fingers curled like claws gripping raw magic.

A deep, rumbling sound echoed from her palm—a roar, like a volcano groaning awake.

Then it happened.

From her outstretched hand, a colossal beam of fire and molten magma burst forth, tearing through the sky like a solar lance. The core of the beam churned with boiling lava, while its edges crackled with superheated fla. It wasn't just heat—it was destruction incarnate, a river of inferno bent into a focused ray.

The clouds above split open in its wake, vaporized in an instant.

The sky turned orange.

The wind reversed course.

I stood still, stunned—not by fear, but by awe.

This wasn't a spell.

This was a warning to the heavens.

[You have watched a high-ranked Mage cast a Legendary Spell. You have grasped so key concepts to use it.]

[Your Comprehension of the Spell, Solar Nova, has increased: 0% ->1%.]

Only one percent.

Yeah.

This one would be hard.
