For the next three days, things began to progress rather well for . I had decided to completely focus on the Fire Affinity and the two skills that were linked to it.
I was now able to form a Fireball without much effort, and I was also able to imbue my will within Mana. However, while I was getting better at forming a Fireball, the sa couldn't be said for another spell of mine called the [Fla Armor].
It was much harder to use because it required much better control over Mana. Since it required to send Mana into all of my Mana Circuits at the sa ti and control them very precisely, it wasn't sothing I had managed to do.
Even the past Jake had struggled, as his comprehension was only 38%.
Apart from that, my relationship with Elena was now much more easygoing, even while she wasn't hypnotized. Her Loyalty had already gone up a lot from the ager 53 all the way up to 60.
I wasn't sure if her actions while being hypnotized had brought us closer together, but I sowhat hoped so deep down.
Suddenly, as I was finally getting a mont for myself, I heard a weak knock against the door. It was Elena, who walked in with her usual blush on her face, approaching with a sowhat strange expression. At least, a very unusual one.
"I think my father forgot to tell you sothing. The Royal Academy isn't open to everyone, and obviously, he could get you in through his connections. However, he just told that if you wanted to keep being my 'fiancé' and my guard at the Royal Academy, you would have to go through the Entrance Exam just like everyone else."
I imdiately frowned, a little annoyed, as I knew there was a chance I would fail with my current skills.
"Alright... and when is that Entrance Exam exactly?"
She clicked her tongue. "That's the thing... it's in two days. Will you be ready by then?"
I panicked inwardly; however, I acted as if it was no big deal on the outside, patting her back with a smirk. "Who do you think I am? This will be a walk in the park."
However, I knew there was no longer any ti to waste and thought, 'Elena, Hypnotize.'
She imdiately turned doll-like, her whole shy personality almost vanishing at once.
"What can I help you with, Master?" she said without the slightest instruction, showing her obedience.
"I need you to tell everything you know about that Entrance Exam. Also, I want your honest opinion on whether I will be able to get through the Entrance Exam with my current skills."
She nodded right away and
answered, "The Entrance Exam of the Royal Academy is a little special this year. Since it is also my first year inside of the Academy, my father has decided to make a small tournant with all potential students, and only those who reach the Top 128 will be accepted into the Royal Academy."
I nodded, thinking that it was actually quite a reasonable number.
But then, the other words that ca out of her mouth hit hard.
"With what you showed , assuming that you aren't hiding anything, there is a good chance that you will be eliminated in the second or third round, which would be very far from the expected result. After all, there are thousands of people trying to get into the Royal Academy every year."
"And what does your father think of all this? What does he expect from ?" I asked, knowing that the expectations were definitely high since I would be acting as her personal guard inside the Academy's walls.
"He expects you to be the best and win the tournant with ease, especially considering your four affinities and your strong connection with each of them."
I raised an eyebrow, as I couldn't wait to disappoint her father. If I were to win this tournant, it would be an absolute miracle. I was no better than a ten-year-old when it ca to magic.
"Do you have any idea how to achieve this result with my current strength?"
Breaking her doll-like appearance, she grinned and said, "Yes. I will have to give you personal training every day until the first round of the tournant. Luckily for you, the tournant will last around one week, giving you so ti to polish your skills between most of your matches."
I clenched my jaw, as I knew I had the potential to be one of the best. However, it would definitely be hard considering that I had only begun learning about magic three days ago. I was very lucky to have one of the most talented people on the entire continent personally teaching every day, especially one as pretty as her.
"That training of yours... what will it be like exactly?" I asked, noticing her grin only widening.
"We will duel one another until the basics enter this mind of yours, until I deem you ready for the tournant."
I sighed.
I had a strong feeling that the next few days would revolve around getting beaten up again and again...
"Actually, about that, we shouldn't be wasting any more ti! Let's head to my personal training grounds. I will make sure to teach you personally~"
While she was still under the control of hypnosis, the tone of her voice changed and suddenly contained emotion, especially one of teasing.
I kept a straight face as I watched her walk away, her ass jiggling as usual.
I couldn't wait to see the teachings that I would be receiving in two days. Let's hope that it would be enough; otherwise, there was a good chance that the Patriarch would actively try to kill without the use of poison but publicly.
