I was holding out on using my [Berserk] mode for now. If not, I would be pumling this man on the ground without hesitation.
Unfortunately, I can’t risk invading a new world at my weakest.
"What did you say to , boy?!" Righteous growled, and his clone quickly abandoned Kenza and pointed the blade at my neck.
"Repeat those words—I dare you!" the clone growled.
"FIVE!" I snapped back as black cracks began spreading across my eyelids while the dark fus pouring out of my body doubled twofold!
Kenza quickly pulled out her gun and pressed it against the back of Righteous’s head.
"Let go!" she snapped.
Almost imdiately, all fifty Ascendants pulled out their weapons, pointing them in Righteous’s direction.
Of course, they would support their leader.
But the short bastard didn’t budge. His confidence was way bigger than his size.
"Go on... shoot!" he snarled, his gaze not leaving mine.
"FOUR!"
Everyone’s reaction was none of my concern. All I knew was that the mont I counted down to zero, I’d pop my [Berserk] talent and murder this fool in the most grueso way possible—on national TV.
However...
Buzz!
A strong pressure exploded from the twisting blue mass of energy, surging wildly and drawing everyone’s attention to the rift.
It was almost ti.
The rift was opening.
"Saved by the bell," I said, and Righteous’s gaze returned to .
I couldn’t see his eyes through the dark shades, but I could sll his anger. Begrudgingly, he let go of with a light push ant to shove back—but I expected this and had already adjusted my stance for the situation.
With barely over a point difference in strength, his pathetic shove failed. I didn’t move an inch. He froze and glared at a bit longer while his clone sheathed his sword for him before walking into his body, rging into one.
"You think you’re a big shot now?" he snapped at while walking away. "This shit ain’t over!"
I didn’t respond—not because I didn’t want to, but because there was no ti for that.
All that black fu surged toward the two military vans, tearing the space under them. Gasps rang out as the vehicles fell in.
"Are you okay?" Kenza walked up to , worry in her eyes.
The look she gave reminded of how Natasha used to look at —and it made a bit uncomfortable.
But she wasn’t Natasha. She was useful.
I didn’t plan to indulge her—but I also had no intention of rebuking her harshly.
I’d just keep her in a state where we could be "friends," but nothing more.
That way, I could use her... and make use of her military influence to my advantage.
"I’m good... Thank you." I shot her a warm smile, and her face flushed red while her eyes avoided mine.
I felt a firm hand pat my shoulder gently, prompting to look over—it was Johnson.
"Good luck, man," he said as Ray stepped forward with an open briefcase.
My eyes widened when I saw the Rai’ki rings and the control gloves inside. I had almost forgotten about them after winning my fight against the orc champion.
"Thank you," I said, taking off the gloves I had on and passing them to Jake.
I put on the control gloves—black leather with Aether platings—and for the first ti since I woke up, I didn’t feel incomplete.
"It took a lot to recover it from the military. They wanted to be the ones to hand it over to you—alongside the deal," Ray added.
Kenza shot him that sharp glare that made him shift his attention elsewhere while whistling loudly.
Jake and Anderson laughed while I took the Rai’ki rings in my hands. Their edges glowed in response to my touch.
If only I had this in hand when Righteous acted stupid, he would’ve lost his hands before they could even reach .
"I’ll get another chance in the future. No need to rush," I sighed, then buckled the Rai’ki rings to my belt.
The pressure from the rift was getting stronger. I knew we were almost out of ti. In fact, everyone else was already in position except us, so I couldn’t delay any longer.
"I’m not sure when we’ll get the chance to leave, so I’m leaving everything to you," I told Jake. "You can get in touch with Ray and Johnson if you have any issues."
Jake nodded and reached for my collar, adjusting my coat.
"Good luck, big bro," he smiled.
I chuckled. "I don’t need luck. I’m the strongest for a reason." I winked.
Buzz!
The world shook violently as a white light spiraled to life at the center of the blue rift, expanding with each passing second.
Kenza and I exchanged glances before we walked forward and joined Frankenstein and Righteous, standing ahead of a small army of a hundred humans.
"Let’s go," Frankenstein’s voice was heavy and dull.
It was the worst kind of voice a person could use to motivate an army—but we followed regardless.
We walked into the rift first, our eyes filled with blinding light for over ten seconds. After that, the light dimd.
Whoosh!
A strong breeze blew, forcing to shield my face with my hand.
Whoosh!
After a second or so, the wind died down—but it was still fairly strong.
Ding!

Unlike Nightfall Dominion, the sky was clear, and the air was rich. The ground beneath our feet was green, and the scenery was breathtaking.
This world was truly different from the crumbling one I once held as my own.
A world worth ruling—and fighting for.
"I won’t repeat such a mistake this ti," I said to myself, my voice barely a whisper.
Peng! Peng!
Peng! Peng!
My head tilted at the sound. I wondered if my ears were playing tricks on . It was the sound of swords clashing—and even faint cries of pain could be heard.
Turning around, I realized everyone else had the sa expression. I wasn’t the only one hearing it.
A battle was being fought right now—not far from our position.
"Let’s go!" I ordered.
