A NEW TASK ANT MORE WORK FOR EVERYBODY. AND WHISPER AGAIN WAS AT THE HEART OF THE HUMAN-BEE ALLIANCE, WATCHING OVER THE MOST VITAL TASKS.

Sotis, like right now, literally. Whisper was leaning over B666666's shoulder and watching her drawing with a charcoal drawing stick on a sheet of paper.

The Builder Bee arrived at Farini's camp two days ago, shocking him with the sight of the ta dragon carrying bees and supplies.

After that, B666666 and her team of Builders imdiately set to work—whatever supplies they didn't bring with them, B666666 got from Researcher Explanatory.

By Whisper's order, Farini let B666666 look at the other architect's unfinished plans. The architect in question was unhappy, but didn't dare to protest a lord.

B666666 spent a lot of ti asking Farini and Explanatory questions about various details of humans' building style, then spent another day with her team studying the place where Farini planned to build a temple.

At the mont, Farini's army was stationed in one of the larger cities, resting and gathering supplies and people from the region while the roads dried out after the recent storms.

Soon, the army would move forward against the High King, but for the next week they were stationary and Farini could watch over the temple building in person.

Which ant that Whisper could do the sa.

B666666 ignored the bee leaning over her shoulder. Since she finished asuring the patch of barren plain and started drawing, she made pauses only to eat and sleep.

"Is planning buildings really that hard?" Whisper asked. "When will you be done, sister?"

"Don't hurry ! This is extrely delicate. A building so huge can fall from the slightest weakness in its walls!" B666666 chided without raising her eyes. "I will do it faster than this human was doing, anyway."

Whisper huffed, irked at her—much older—sister a little. Then she saw B666666 add another line to the temple's roof, then write dreadfully complicated calculations on the side of the sheet.

The Agent stepped back from B666666, feeling a little dazzled.

'Perhaps I should do sothing that's more of my specialty,' Whisper decided and stopped bothering B666666.

So people were wondering why would Farini order to build a temple in a ti like this; others were sure he was just asking for more blessings from gods to help him defeat the High King.

According to reports Whisper got, a few people also claid that the new god Farini was building a temple for was actually a demon. That Farini's "divine revelations" were just a sign of being possessed by a demon.

Whisper comnded Agents who brought her nas of these people and passed them all to Farini. He didn't kill them (as Whisper half-wanted to propose), but sent them to the farthest patrols and other remote jobs where they couldn't speak to others and spread their ideas.

anwhile, B666666 declared her plans were complete enough that humans could start making a foundation for the temple.

"With a foundation," she explained, "you can go too little, but not too much. This will be a big foundation, so the rest of the temple *definitely* doesn't sink or flood. Ah, don't bother to understand, sister Whisper! You are not even *close* to a builder!"

Whisper rolled her eyes.

On that day, another dragon arrived to her and other bees in human lands—Whisper was notified a while beforehand, so she could et him, of course, so it wasn't entirely a surprise. But it was still a surprise.

This dragon carried freshly trained Agent Bees instead of Builders, as well as equipnt and…

"Oracles?" Whisper asked, looking at two bees in front of her—this was the first ti she saw Oracles in person. They looked ordinary, except a little spaced-out. One was a few months older, judging by her longer hair.

She tried to scan their thoughts by a force of habit, but as she heard was noise in which she couldn't understand a thing.

"Yes," the older Oracle said. "Our dreams of the future showed danger to this place. We ca to try to define this danger and to prevent it. At the very least, Father told us to help you and human Farini. We were told that you are… The one who can direct us to the best way to look at things. I an…"

"We need to know the present to find the future," the other Oracle added. "Your future is uncertain. But there are stings in it."

Whisper stared at the Oracles for another mont.

How co she had sisters who were so hard to talk with? She never was in this position! Even those sisters who annoyed her were easy to understand!

"The best place to learn about the present is around ," she decided after a brief pause.

"Oh, and we knew we had to give you this," the younger Oracle said, taking one of her pouches and pulling an uneven glass vial out of it. Inside was a murky brownish liquid.

Whisper took it and eyed the liquid curiously.

"Is this so food?"

"Don't open it!" the older Oracle exclaid, reaching to stop Whisper from uncorking the vial. "These are a hawkmoth's hypnotic pheromones. They sotis work, and sotis not. Adviser Tabletina wants them to be tested, and Chief Oracle dread it can do sothing useful here. We are still trying to work out this dream in full."

Whisper didn't understand half of what was said, but still held the vial tighter to her chest.

"You will explain everything to in more detail. Then I will introduce you to Farini so you can watch him and . Then… we will watch the temple being built, since this is where Farini spends a lot of ti lately."

He was praying and overseeing the building personally. This helped the fervor of workers and spread favorable rumors about him, so Whisper approved.

The Oracles nodded.

"We will follow you, sister. The danger will, too, but we will be there first. Try not to die, because then this temple definitely won't be built in ti."
