Arabella walked back with a bow in hand and an arrow nocked as she aid it to the ground. The four watched with various expressions of confusion and or concern.
Daiyu strode over to the side and put her arms out wide. Feyan closed his eyes with the palm of his hand. Whether it was so he could not watch or that he was tired of the princess’s antics was anyone’s guess.
"Uh, Jotou should I... push her away or, catch the arrow or sothing?" Fuko hushed up to the blonde’s ear.
"I, trust her?" that was certainly a difficult sentence to say aloud as Jotou put her left arm out in front of Fuko. Jotou knitted her brows as her legs tensed up...
Arabella aid the bow and pulled back the string. ’Maybe this isn’t the brightest idea...’ "Aru, be prepared to heal anything..." Jotou whispered. ’I hope that covers it...’
"Got it..." Hotaru scrunched her face as her ears folded over her head.
"FWoosh!" The arrow fired straight for Daiyu’s waist. Jotou’s entire body tensed up more as she held her breath.
Daiyu stood with a grin as the arrow hit her waist and- "Trr...Duff!" Little chunks of rock ford right as the arrow hit and blocked it.
Daiyu flinched slightly as she felt the force of it, but she stood steady nonetheless and turned to her audience with a grin. "Ta-da!" a tiny hole in the clothing, but no damage to her skin underneath by the arrow as the rocks turned to dust and disappeared.
Fuko stopped the shadows forming at her feet and drips of water fell from Hotaru’s hand as they both eased up. Jotou sighed all her breath out as she slumped into a, "Huh?"
"Yay!!!" Asobi clapped, "How did you do it? You have to teach ! Is it a secret?" she hushed the last sentence.
"You can just do your illusions," Fuko glared to the elf.
"Silly ko," Asobi shook her head, "I still wanna know the trick!"
Arabella went over to pick up the arrow and discard the weapons as Daiyu walked back.
"It is no ’party trick’ that should be toyed with..." Feyan exhaled, removing the hand from his face. "The princess seems to be, for all intents and purposes, ’immune’ to any piercing projectiles."
Jotou faced her friend, "How did you even find this out...?"
"Wrong place, wrong ti... Let’s just say my shoulder’s lucky," Daiyu rubbed her right shoulder with a nervous smile.
"Figures..." Jotou muttered. "Why can’t you be hit by arrows?"
"Don’t know," Daiyu shrugged, "Sounded like you being immune to the helatoeses to ."
"Anastasia was killed by a velatos and the princess before Daiyu was killed by a shot..." Fuko uttered as she rubbed her chin.
"Maybe, you two can’t be killed by the thing that killed you last..." Fuko formulated before glancing up to them. "Just a theory."
"That... adds up." ’The arrow pierced her dress too, but stopped at the skin. Velatos only ever did any damage to by grabbing sothing I was wearing—not .’
"Hm," Daiyu looked to Fuko, "She might be smarter than you then," she smirked.
"Well yeah," Jotou smiled to Fuko, "She’s my detective."
The brunette’s eyes glimred with shadows for a second before she faced Daiyu and gave a smug smirk—half-cocked and all as she flaunted her twin-tails.
Daiyu pouted a little to Jotou’s response, hoping instead it would have annoyed her... "Hmm," Daiyu looked as Arabella had walked back, "That’d also an, I can shoot myself and not get shot!"
"Uh..." both Hotaru and Feyan verbalized as Arabella raised a brow. Jotou rolled her eyes.
"That’s, not a good idea to test Daiyu..." Hotaru advised.
"I agree, please do not pick up a firearm," Feyan put his hands out.
"I wonder if it’s part of an affinity or it’s sothing to do with how we’re here..." Jotou pondered aloud.
"What’re you talking about?" Daiyu put the idea to rest.
"In those ti loops, I could rember everything. I didn’t have any ntal consequences... from the ti egg, directly at least..."
"Yeah, your brain is protected by so magic," Fuko added.
"So, that would theoretically an Daiyu would also rember everything if she was in those ti loops. But is the immunity from just that magic? Unless you do have an affinity?" Jotou queried.
Daiyu half-closed her right eye, "Well you’re not special ya know, I have an affinity and so do these two," she haughtily put.
Asobi gasped, "All of us here have affinities then!"
"Still doesn’t make it any less rare," Jotou’s eyes glazed over, "And when did I say I was special? I was just hypothesizing without that information, that’s why I asked."
"Always thinking of yourself," Daiyu shook her head, acting disappointed, "You need to keep your ego in check, hmph."
"Ai, ai, ai, shut up," Jotou smiled a little. Daiyu perked up, folding her arms.
Asobi put her wand up, shining a small ball of light from the tip. Throughout their conversation, they failed to notice the Sun that had completely set.
The cloudy night sky only allowed the light of the Moon to pierce through, though a wind seed to be whooshing the puffy white clouds away slowly but surely.
"Shall we head inside princess? Dinner should be prepared. So other guests may have already begun or even finished," Feyan checked his watch of black hue.
"Other guests?" Hotaru glanced to Daiyu.
"I," Daiyu paused, "I’ll tell you all about it later," she looked to Jotou as she answered the wolf-girl. "Feyan? Can we prepare, a smaller room for dinner?"
Feyan looked back and forth between the four of them and Daiyu, "We can princess, however, the-"
"I know," Daiyu stopped, "I have to show my face. At least a small room for these four? Then you can show them to their rooms."
"What, we’re not getting dinner?" Fuko leered.
"Sorry. You’ll get all the sa food," she sighed, "Just a different table I won’t be at. Hey, Feyan and Ara can keep you company, right?"
"Uh, as long as you can take care of yourself princess," Feyan faced her, hands behind his back. Arabella nodded, implying the sa as him.
"I won’t open my mouth too much."
"The hell’s going on?" Jotou glared.
"I’ll," Daiyu groaned to the blonde, "Tell you later, okay? Just, enjoy dinner."
’She’s... stressed about sothing. But Daiyu knows she can ask for help... Sothing’s going on and if she’s not telling ...’ Jotou’s eyes scanned everyone around her.
’No, she said she’ll tell later. aning she wants to tell , not everyone here.’ "Fine. Don’t do sothing stupid, alright?" Jotou gave a smirk.
Daiyu grinned, "I won’t be like you then. Tell how dinner was; I’ll see you later," she then looked down to her dress, "Ugh, I need to change this too."
Daiyu paced off in heels, holding up the dress as she walked out of the sand; little platforms of earth ford every ti her heels went atop the sand. Jotou sighed as she departed.
