Ezekiel’s dull eyes stared at the field behind his family house. His parents stood behind him directly in front of the door, watching him solemn expressions on their faces.

They weren’t disappointed by their son’s inability to awaken. This was quite a common thing, even having two Awakened parents couldn’t guarantee that a person could successful awaken. In fact they were quite happy that their son hadn’t awakened. They knew how grueso and wicked the actual world of the Awakened was, they simply didn’t wish for their son to live such a life.

He knew that too but the fact that he would live the sa useless life as his last was a huge blow to him. Advance his father’s position? Opening a kingdom spanning business? Those were nothing. Before the eyes of an Awakened, those properties were as strong as a twig before their power.

What was the use of it all?! What was the use of reincarnating him if he was going to live the sa normal and background character-like way of life? It was even worse because he would be betraying the expectations that the outside world would place on his family to produce an equally talented child.

But suddenly, Ezekiel’s eyes snapped wide open as he abruptly stood up before glancing down at his palm. ’What the fuck am I even thinking about?! I was a genius technician in my last life when I had chosen to live such a useless life! I might have lived as a diocre technician in my last life but that’s not the sa case here! The knowledge is still in my head! I can still beco soone important. Not as an Awakened from Taia, but as a Battle chanic from Earth!!!’

He knew he might not be able to get far with the technology he had access with on Earth, but it was still better than being at the bottom of the ladder on Taia.

And as if acknowledging his thoughts, Ezekiel felt a slight pain in his head before a sudden sensation washed over his body, feeling him with unknown strength.

"Finally! You finally accepted your path, I’ve been waiting 5 years for you." A sudden feminine voice rang out in his head, increasing the technician’s confusion. But before he could focus on that, another event forced his attention away as an athyst holographic board appeared before him.

Ezekiel remained stunned finding it hard to process what was happening to him, but thankfully the voice in his head spoke once more. "Accept it! This is your one chance at power, are you gonna throw that away because you don’t know where it cos from?!"

His athyst colored eyes flickered. Yes, why should he care where it ca from? It didn’t matter to him if it ca from the devil itself, he would still accept any chance for him to part with the ridiculously weak life that stood before him. ’Yes! I accept!’

Imdiately, the holographic board changed, displaying another string of words.

Ezekiel cald down, regulating his breath and sitting back down, knowing that his peculiar state had made his spectating parents worry. He already had a guess of what was happening to him. This power was probably a result of interacting with the Being that had reincarnated him. And the AI seed to be top of the art, judging from its initially annoyed tone, he wouldn’t be surprised if it was the rarely made Human AI, an Artificial Intelligence with human emotions.

’Um, I’m going to assu you’re an AI. Can you read my surface level thoughts?’ His mind ford these words, directing them towards the weird female voice that seed to have appeared in his head.

The voice spoke with an amused voice. (Of course I can, I can do much more but your level of intelligence is inhibiting . And I am indeed the AI of the system supporting your path from now on.)

’Can you tell its origin?’ He asked ntally but was replied with silence. Catching unto the hint, he could only change the subject. ’What about the talents before ?’

The AI seed to acknowledge him again and replied this ti. (The best talent to choose right now would either be the Quick Feet or the Overload.)

’Not Quick Fingers?’

She chuckled. (You think your opponents will give you ti to repair your gear while in battle? If it cos down to it, you could always pick it when next you are presented with the next Class talent upgrade.)

He nodded, admitting that her remark was correct. His eyes focused on the remaining two options before flashing with confidence and picking the Overload talent. Such a wildcard was needed while he still remained weak, plus as the AI had said, he could choose the other talents later.

Talent has been chosen. Registering Talent. Talent Registered.

Congratulations. Host has been gifted Mana Converter Reactor blueprint – Level 1, Specialized Visor blueprint and Psionic Energy Formula blueprint.

Ezekiel widened his eyes as a large amount of data surged into his brain. He now realized that with the system, maybe his maximum strength wouldn’t be as low as it would have been.

The Specialized Visor blueprint in his mind contained the properties of the materials needed to create a tool that granted him better eye sight and a wide span of perceptive skills such as heat vision, 3d mapping, far sight and much more.

The Mana Converter Reactor was the real deal, a peculiar device that could perform the miraculous task of absorbing mana and converting it to whatever energy he wanted! Nothing was out of sight, not even Earth’s powerful Plasma energy. But that wasn’t the energy he would be using, he would instead use the energy granted to him by the system, The Psionic Energy that was spoken of in the formula given to him.

(Look at you getting all excited all of a sudden. You still have a long way to go before you can properly defend yourself, you know right?)

’Yes, but at least now there’s hope!’ The first chanic on Taia stood up, looking back at his curious parents and smiling at them. "Mom, Dad, I’m not giving up. I’ll show you that I can indeed face against the world of the Awakened. So please teach !"

Matthew and Evelyn were stunned, looking at the determined expression of their sons before revealing a weak smile. In the end, it seed that their son had still found a way to embark the path of an Awakened. Still, they didn’t bother asking about the path he had miraculously found, neither did they discourage him. They simply walked up to him and placed their hands on his shoulder with a loving smile on their faces. "Of course dear. We’ll teach you everything you need to learn about the World of the Awakened."

And so the grueling training of the world’s first chanic began within the fields of the Flynn House.
