"Urk!"

The Roach’s loud screams pierced Kaelen’s ears causing him to falter and stagger backward, his palms desperately covering his ears.

And just as he thought it couldn’t get any worse...

UWOOOOONG!!!

[!!]

...An intense indigo light swallowed the entirety of the office, and with it...

"SCREEEEEEEEEEECH!!!! "

...The Roach let out a deafening screech, and although Kaelen wanted to open his eyes to investigate what was going on, the light was far too intense for him to do so, lest he lose his vision.

Thud! Thud!

Fragnts of the Roach’s exoskeleton struck Kaelen’s being, inducing so much pain that he wondered if he was actually being shot at.

Crack! Crack!

The intense light faded and those strange sounds that were reminiscent to bones being crushed, beckoned Kaelen to open his eyes, albeit reluctantly.

[... What the...?]

Kaelen stood there frozen, his aching eyes trembling in disbelief at the grotesque, disfigured form of the Roach.

No... Was that even still the Roach? Where were his arms? What about his insectoid eyes? His legs? Just where exactly was the mouth and throat that produced such screams? None of those things were discernible.

The Roach’s exposed, soft inner flesh writhed, twitched and throbbed as though it were a sentient lump of brain matter —It was a horrifying scene to behold, it was a miraculous feat that Kaelen could even subdue his nausea.

UWOOOONG!!!

Yet another intense light was produced by the irregular lump of flesh that stood before Kaelen, but this ti, it was not so intense that Kaelen needed to shut his eyes, however...

[!!]

... The intense light was accompanied by an extrely powerful surge of energy that destroyed every piece of furniture within the space, and even causing Kaelen’s nose to bleed.

Crack! Crack!

"SCREEEEEEEEEEECH! "

The Roach scread again under the indescribable pain, and Kaelen beheld his irregular form twist and bend as though it were a lump of clay under the careful hands of a skilled potter.

Crack! Crack!

Shapes that could be called arms and legs were ford, even a head and then every photon of light present in the room receeded back into the Roach, albeit not completely.

Whatever shimr of light and energy that did not enter the Roach, instead encased him like a layer of armour which then morphed into a jet-black exoskeleton.

A pair of equally jet-black, transparent insectoid wings grew from the Roach’s form, having a wingspan of roughly twelve ters.

"SCREEEEEEEEEEECH!! "

The Roach’s — No, galoblatta’s scream was no longer that of pure agony but was instead of pure euphoria.

"I feel so powerful!!!!"

galoblatta roared and examined his new form which towered at a little over three ters in height, his fra equally bulky and lean, his transparent wings having a tallic luster to them.

[W-woah... He’s stronger than I expected he’d be.]

The intense power radiating from galoblatta caused Kaelen to shiver.

Feeling the ground tremble beneath his feet as though an elephant was charging at him, Kaelen rebuked his status window notifications and beheld galoblatta walking towards him.

[S-shit, he’s not gonna kill is he?]

Kaelen trembled and secretly crossed his fingers. He knew that he may have been able to stand a chance against the Roach in a fight, but galoblatta? He would surely die in a matter of seconds, the dense magicules the jet-black insectoid radiated bore proof of that irrefutable fact.

Kaelen straightened his posture and held his breath as the monstrosity was now at an arms length distance away from him.

"Kaelen..."

galoblatta’s voice was coarse and much deeper than before, like two chainsaws buzzing harmoniously.

"Y-yes?"

Despite his best attempts to conceal his fear, kaelen stuttered and slightly bit his tongue.

"You..."

Seeing galoblatta’s being twitch, Kaelen instinctively flinched and Mana flooded his Mana Veins.

Thud...

galoblatta’s next action brought him both comfort and shock.

"I am truly grateful for what have done for , I will forever remain in your debt."

galoblatta spoke as he prostrated himself before Kaelen in a kowtow position, his transparent wings pointing at the ceiling as though they were a pair of great blades awaiting their weilder.

"Y-yes you’re welco."

"Lay your requests before , and I shall see them to completion."

If it were possible for galoblatta to bow even deeper, then the ground beneath his forehead would cease to exist.

"S-sure. But first can you please do sothing about these magicules? I can barely breathe, also, please stand."

Kaelen wasn’t exaggerating, the office was nearly uninhabitable.

"Ah. I was not aware, please forgive ."

galoblatta retracted his dense magicules and stood to his feet.

[He’s crazy strong right now, probably as strong as Charymos? That’s insane...]

[...All that from being Nad? Why didn’t I get a crazy power-up like this damn it?!]

[Tsk... Well, it’s not like I had a second heart or anything, but still... Just how long has this guy been ready for evolution?]

[It wasn’t this way when I first made him, aside from his possible branches of evolution and the yearning to be Nad.]

■ Vestinta Ex Nihilo.■

galoblatta cast a spell that clothed his naked fra in a three-piece suit amidst Kaelen’s musings.

[Thank God...]

Kaelen could finally look at the Roach without stealing glances.

"I know that I’m probably prying for asking this, but what’s your current level? You don’t have to answer if you don’t want —"

"I am currently at level 50, Young Lord Kaelen."

galoblatta promptly replied whilst adjusting his bowtie.

"Oh..."

[Level 50?! That’s perfect isn’t it?! So he’s currently as strong as Charymos.]

[...]

[A little too perfect if you ask . Seriously though, is my luck stat really at 0?]

[Wait...]

Kaelen narrowed his eyes at galoblatta.

"Uh... What did you just call ?"

He tilted his snow-white scalp.

"Indeed. I have been thinking of a proper title for you, and since Lord is specifically for the Guardians — er, Governors, I find Young Lord to be quite fitting."

galoblatta responded with a proud smirk.

"Wait, I’m just a Homunculus you know? Won’t that cause an issue?"

"Worry not, Young Lord Kaelen, there is another who bears this title, so this will not be at all strange, kuku."

galoblatta chuckled proudly.

[That’s not the issue here! Why are you suddenly so...]

"Sigh... Nevermind that, let’s talk about what we’re going to do when Charymos cos back."

Kaelen walked over to the couch and sat down.

"Indeed."

galoblatta snapped his mandibles and sat down as well, and the two of them spent two hours plotting Charymos’s demise.
