Chapter 843: Chapter 843: English Mastiff
"...And with that, you all should get ready.
We leave in three days."
Kael said as he stretched out his hand and brought them up to his face.
On his open palm, a circular magic formation appeared, complete with runes and glowing lines.
After pointing this magic circle at the one hundred and thirty-three individuals below, Kael twisted his wrist.
Suddenly, the individuals who had been listening eagerly to Kael below felt sothing shift inside them.
It did not feel nice at all.
First, they felt their skin tremble, their bones rattle, and their eyes bulge.
It was a mixture of pain and pleasure.
Right before Kael’s eyes, these humans fell to the ground, unable to keep themselves standing any longer.
Through his senses, Kael had a strong hold on the Devolution Seeds.
Kael already had Planet Kareem, which was basically a farm for Devolution Seeds. He didn’t need more.
So, he destroyed these ones.
He wasn’t just pulling the Devolution Seeds out of their bodies; he was destroying them, causing a small amount of energy to be released in the process.
This thod was violent, but it was also a little necessary.
Kael would not have tried this if he weren’t already an expert at removing these things.
Destroying the Devolution Seeds within them was better than just removing them, as the little energy that would be released could serve as a boost to their new strengths.
If this operation were not done with frightening precision and a godly level of control, they could all die.
Right now, that little energy that was being released after Kael triggered the destruction of the Devolution Seeds was causing them a mixture of pain and pleasure.
Blues was also among the individuals suffering from this transformation. Even though he was not in Kael’s direct line of sight, he was still seen and the operation was applied to him as well.
Blues buckled over, collapsing knee-first to the floor. He took in deep breaths, finding that his breathing was very unstable and he could not control it.
He tried to breathe in but there seed to be a wet sponge or net blocking his air canals. His eyes looked around, the irises which were already blue started to beco bluer.
"Aaargh!" Blues groaned, feeling a terribly tummy ache. His groan was just the first of the strange sounds that started cascading down the walls of the warehouse.
All around, the transforming individuals started letting out roars, chirps, and strange animalistic calls.
These sounds echoed beyond the confines of the warehouse and spread to the vicinity far beyond.
It was a good thing that in the event of the superpower apocalypse, most of the human population was focused on other things, and this warehouse was very much abandoned.
But even if it wasn’t, it wouldn’t have mattered to Kael.
"What the..." Blues exclaid through his gritted teeth, he watched his hand expand.
He could feel his fingers getting stiffer and his palm getting harder. His weight increased so much that even he had to try to adjust.
Light blue fur grew out of his skin as his vines snapped and rearranged themselves. His face folded and elongated, growing bigger and becoming box-shaped in a few seconds.
Long fangs grew out of his jaws and the area around his elongating mouth began to darken.
As his body changed drastically, he heard a loud and clear heavy set of footsteps coming from the pile of wooden crates.
Blues still had a semblance of reasoning to think properly. He could raise his head to see that the owner of the footsteps was Kael, the All-King.
With his hands in his pockets, the All-King walked down the pile of crates. With all the transformations happening around him and the strange sounds of bones snapping or throats gurgling, Kael paid more attention to Blues.
Among the Primordiale that Kael had gathered, Blues was not the most powerful, nor was he the most competent.
He was not even the strongest.
But he was the most useful. At least, he had the potential to help the most useful creature ever.
The Law of Loyalty, as simple as it was, was also quite overpowered.
The abilities that this law gave were so broken that it would be a sha if Kael let it go to waste like that.
He was glad he found Blues at the right ti.
As Kael stood before the transforming Lad, he took notice of the specific type of transformation the latter was undergoing.
Soon, the transformation was complete and what stood before Kael was a large dog.
All traces of the Devolution Seed were gone and a true Primordial Heart was beating calmly inside the chest of this dog.
Kael squinted his eyes at the large dog as it raised its head to look at him. The dog’s species was quite intriguing.
Usually, when Kael was thinking of a Primordial Dog, he would imagine that it would be one of the more well-known dog breeds from Planet Earth.
Maybe a German Shepherd, a Pit Bull, or maybe even a small dog breed.
He didn’t expect to see an English Mastiff.
Kael rembered that this dog was large on Planet Earth, even back then, it was considered one of the larger dog breeds and it was mostly popular in the European regions.
These dogs usually had key defining traits like their large, almost chubby, bodies, thin but well-printed fur, floppy ears, and a large mouth with hanging upper lips that sotis caused them to drool.
"Blues?" Kael called the large blue dog in front of him.
Blues would have never imagined that this was the type of dog he would beco. He wasn’t even considered a large person in human form, he was even on the smaller side, just very tall.
Weren’t human forms ant to mirror a bit the true nature of their beast forms? One would have expected Blues to beco sothing like a Doberman or a Labrador.
It didn’t matter anyway, though. No matter what Blues looked like, he was still the Primordial Dog and what mattered the most was his ability.
"Master..." Blues blurted out uncontrollably as his wide paws quivered beneath him. Standing tall, he still didn’t look Kael in the eyes. Instead, he bowed his head and took the ti to observe himself.
A whole load of power was rushing into his body. The source? Kael. Powers that did not belong to him, powers that he could only use as long as he was loyal.
anwhile, Kael’s ears rang with countless dings as he received alerts of more than a hundred Systems being successfully created.
