Chapter 831: Chapter 831: Beeswax
Kael turned away from the window to look at Emperor Zain. He didn’t seem to care about the latter’s anger. He was unbothered and couldn’t give two fucks.
"So, Emperor Zain, will you be paying
or shall we invade Draconic Heaven next?"
*Snap!*
The couch Emperor Zain was sitting on emitted a sharp sound that signified sothing had snapped.
Kael just continued looking at the Emperor with a calm gaze. He put his hands behind his back and waited.
There was no flinching, no hesitation, no shaking, no trembling, just pure dominance.
Kael was dead serious with what he was saying and Emperor Zain knew very well that Kael would definitely act on his words.
Finally, Emperor Zain relaxed his brows and decided to play along, for the sake of peace.
He didn’t want to do this. But his empire was not in any position to fight the lions right now. He wouldn’t fear fighting Kael since he knew that many other enemies were on their way to deal with him.
But there was one thing that Kael said that was very frightening. What if the lions just ignored every enemy they had and focused solely on the Creation Dragons?
That scenario had one outco.
Even in Original Heaven, the Creation Dragons had only one Supre Level Immortal, putting them at the top ranking of cosmic factions.
But it would never be enough even if they ca to Draconic Heaven to join Emperor Zain.
In fact, Emperor Zain did not want the Creation Dragons in Original Heaven to co out, that would just cause more trouble for him.
With all these considerations in mind, Emperor Zain opened his mouth and asked.
"What is it that you think I owe you?"
A smile cracked Kael’s serious expression. But it wasn’t a genuine smile, more like an expression to acknowledge sothing mockingly funny.
In Kael’s eyes, Emperor Zain liked to delude himself that the sacrifices he was making were worth it.
It wasn’t a bad delusion. Actually, everyone who was ambitious had deluded themselves a little to twist reality in their favour.
To be burdened by hard cold facts at all tis tends to cripple ambition.
Emperor Zain had sacrificed his disciple once, he had even killed her himself, and he did it for the alliance.
In his heart, it was definitely worth it. And perhaps it was.
The issue was that this would be the second or third ti he would be bending his knee out of consideration of what Kael would or wouldn’t do.
Was he spineless?
It was safe to say that Emperor Zain’s strategy was so sacred in his heart that he would be willing to do a lot of things to make sure it was followed through.
"Hmm," Kael blinked, "The horses, all of them that remain. They now belong to , I have use for them."
Emperor Zain raised an eyebrow, "Really?" He asked. He had expected that Kael would ask for sothing outrageous.
He nodded to this, "Sure, I’ve locked them all up on a few prison continents actually but they are of no use to
in any way."
Kael shook his head, "I was not done making my demands Emperor Zain."
"..."
"..."
"..."
Emperor Zain narrowed his eyes, he should have known. Kael was starting with the least expensive thing.
Kael continued and began making his list verbally.
"Any information you have on the Phoenix would be appreciated as long as it can help
find them.
The Destruction Dragons, you are to imdiately stop hunting them down and leave them be. I don’t care how much of a threat they are to your empire.
They are rightfully mine to command and control from now on.
Also, you must start paying tribute to us for the next ten years. After ten years, we can discuss continuing the agreent or ending it.
Then, let us talk about the relationship between our factions. As you know, the lions don’t have the habit of keeping alliances.
We tend to turn our allies into our vassals and I don’t intend for that tradition to end while I’m in charge.
Materials, raw materials will be sent to the Lion Hegemony. This is a one-ti paynt and not part of the tributes. It is to compensate for all the arkships and infrastructure that were lost during the battle."
After Kael listed all those things without stopping, he sat down on the couch, this ti, directly in front of Emperor Zain so that he could look into his face.
One blonde and majestic, the other silver and regal.
Emperor Zain had originally been frowning but now his eyebrows had relaxed.
"That’s funny," Emperor Zain said casually, "You’re making these demands as if I will give them to you.
Or am I to assu you will escalate to aggression if we don’t agree?"
Kael shrugged and thinned his lips, "You can try and see what happens."
"..."
"..."
"..."
Emperor Zain sighed. It felt like he was just stuck with that one troubleso bully from heaven.
Emperor Zain even wondered if Kael had gone to learn so bullying techniques from that Demonic Lion.
No, it shouldn’t be, Emperor Zain thought. If it were Jordan or Alexander or even Azeus, things would have escalated much earlier and the conversation may have ended a long ti ago.
"First of all, your threats are really starting to get on my nerves. Don’t think that because you have so little power backing you that we will just sit still and let you bully us.
We will fight back and we will fight hard.
Secondly, I understand the compensation for the horses. Those are not worth stressing about.
The one-ti paynt for the loss of infrastructure during that battle is also understandable.
As for the rest, I’m afraid we may have a problem.
Let us put the Destruction Dragons aside. Although I genuinely want to eradicate them, I can consider letting them slide as long as you promise to keep them in check yourself.
As for switching our relationship from alliance to vassalage? That’s impossible. Our sovereignty is sacred.
We can’t pay tribute to you as that would begin a never-ending cycle, I know your plan Kael.
The Phoenix on the other hand is no issue, I can give you their information for free," Emperor Zain said as he rested his back and waved his hand to dismiss Kael’s demands.
Then, a spirit transmission occurred and Emperor Zain sent a load of information on the last confird location of the Phoenix.
Kael blinked and assessed the information. This information was instantly shared amongst all the clones and the main body and soon enough, they would act on it.
"Thank you for your generosity," Kael said with a smile.
"You’re welco, and concerning..." Emperor Zain started.
"You have one week to comply with my demands, Emperor Zain," Kael shot him up with a bold declaration.
"Or else..." Kael’s eyes were cold. How dare Emperor Zain try to use generosity to shift the scales?
Who did he think the All-King was?
No compromise!
Not waiting for an answer, Kael got up from the couch and walked out of the eting chambers with heavy steps, leaving Emperor Zain staring at his back with a lost look.
"What?" He muttered but Kael was already gone.
////
Hive Heaven.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaeeeeeeeeeeech!"
The unholy screech of an insect filled the void and caused the air to vibrate.
*BAM!*
As a bright mass of magic and muscles, Ozia slamd headfirst into the body of a fat, gigantic, queen bee.
His tal claws dug into the yellow and black carapace, cracking the surface and causing insect guts to spill out.
Ozia’s fluffy brown mane was drenched in insect liquid and the sll of honey. As the antennas of the queen bee flailed and she screeched, trying to fight back with her stinger, Ozia did not relent.
With a ferocity that could not be matched, Ozia opened his mouth wide, exposing his incredibly long fangs, and bit down harshly on the head of the queen bee.
The two powerhouse streaked across the Hive Heaven, smashing through walls of beeswax and leaving a mixture of blood clouds and honey dust.
Behind them, a swarm of soldier bees, lions, and multiple shuttles could be seen chasing after them while fighting among themselves.
Further behind, a string of shattered arkships was drifting through the space of the decimated Hive Heaven.
So of these arkships had been divided, split in two from the middle, and others had gaping burn holes in them.
A sign that the bees were fighting back as viciously as they could.
But viciousness did not determine dominance.
"QUEEN MOTHER! SAVE EEEE!"
The Queen Bee that was tangled with Ozia, scread at the top of her telepathic voice. Her cry tore through space and ti, throwing the great hive mind into a state of frenzy.
A ruthless glint flashed through Ozia’s eyes, he clenched his jaw, digging his fangs deeper. Then he flexed his neck, pulling back and pulling the head of the Queen Bee with him.
Almost imdiately, a Heavenly Beacon flew out of the body.
It was also now that Ozia was about to be overwheld by the incoming swarm of frenzied bees, he quickly took the heavenly beacon into his pocket space.
He turned around, standing on the giant body of the disgusting dead Queen Bee. His majesty overflowed as he faced the incoming bee swarm with his teeth bared and his heart ready for more.
