Chapter 825: Chapter 825: Awakened, Super Power Apocalypse

Unknown Planet, the city of Landan.

The city was still thrust into a state of distress as the superpower apocalypse raged on and different personalities rushed to seize power from the governnt.

Thousands of entities that had just awakened their superpowers were running around the city, acting like they had not been brought up in a society that prided itself on morals.

Perhaps, that was how it had been on the surface and this apocalypse was the unraveling of unfairness and a displeasure toward incompetence.

A heavenly gate appeared in the clouds above Landan city and Kael stepped out of it, wearing his black and white attire.

As soon as he was here, he took in a deep breath and his eyebrows creased a little.

There was sothing about the stench of this world that seed very familiar to him.

Was it the corruption of natural gases? Or the sound of cars honking?

Kael didn’t know yet but his mind was already mapping out and trying to track down the source of that familiar feeling.

There was sothing here for him, his Law of Good Luck was active and it told him that this place held so good things.

This was good, Kael was in search of anything that could give him an advantage and he would gladly use anything that ca his way.

But he did not originally send this clone here randomly, he ca here for Ruda.

Or as she was called in this world, Rude, or Rudy.

Kael had maintained a certain level of contact with Ruda after she awakened the system and began a slow climb back to her original power level.

Of course, Ruda did not have all her mories so it had to be a slow and gradual thing.

Even when Kael used the system to give Ruda back her powers, it wasn’t her real mories, it was just information on her from the perspective of Kael and the other consorts, as well as all the information she herself had left behind.

These mories that she had been rewarded for completing tasks were called second-hand mories.

They were not false, but they were not original either.

At least, it was her soul so these second-hand mories were only there to bring her back up to speed on what needed to be done.

This whole incident of an assassination and the encounter with the Court of Reincarnation had made Kael incredibly paranoid about so matters that he had failed to think of before.

The matter of weakness was already being addressed at the mont and Kael would soon expect the return on investnts.

But another matter was the issue of death. If not that Kael had held on to Ruda’s soul and followed it to the court of Reincarnation, he might have lost her forever.

Kael already suspected that either the lion system was being erased once lions died or their souls were erased forever, banned from ever reincarnating.

Kael’s desire for power reached new heights as he got stronger and he was considering extending his control to the matters of the afterlife itself.

Kael even thought of a system feature that would allow lions to pay for so kind of mory backup or Reincarnation Insurance.

But all these could not be done as of now, Kael would need the Law of Reincarnation for that.

As for getting that, Kael had no idea and he didn’t want to think of such troubleso matters right now.

Not until he was confident.

Kael looked down at the city of Landan and noticed the little commotions that were happening down there.

As he gradually descended from the clouds with his arms held behind his back and his legs put together, he thought to himself that the current situation of the City of Landan was a little funny.

Back in his past life, on Planet Earth, there was a city with a na similar to this one. But after spreading his senses across the entire planet, he understood that this world was not the sa as Planet Earth.

Too bad.

The All-King had paid attention to Ruda’s rise in the past five years after her system awakening and knew about what she was doing.

Ruda had engaged in a major mission quest known as the World Conquering Initiative. Funny enough, Kael had created this quest line back when he had entered Leonine Heaven newly.

Back then, there were still talks of missions to take to increase the Lionhood Bar and Kael needed them to take Conquering Activity-based missions so that he could fund the Lion System.

As the Primordial Lion and a Singularity of Conquering, Kael only got Conquering Essence when he or those tied to him committed acts of conquest.

That was how it was, that is how it has been even till now.

The World Conquering Initiative was a quest line that encouraged lions to search for worlds and develop practical thods on the spot to conquer those worlds.

It was a quest line that younger lions who just started their prides were very fond of as it allowed them to prove their Lionhood.

Fortunately, when Ruda awakened the system, she was automatically given this mission and it was used as an excuse to bring her up to speed about her last life, the culture, traditions, and way of life of the lions.

From the looks of things, Ruda had made a good amount of progress but Kael was very interested in the thod she had used.

This planet had many nas and was known collectively as Planet Gadi. It was just like Planet Kareem in the sense that it was dominated by humans and most likely had so history with the ancient monkeys.

The difference between Planet Kareem and Planet Gadi was that Planet Kareem didn’t have a very diverse ecosystem.

Most of the humans deep down were average creatures and the range was not more than two hundred.

Even the regular beasts were not that much.

One could even notice that there were absolutely no lions on Kareem before Kael and his subordinates’ arrival.

It would seem Planet Kareem was ant to be a safe bunker for the monkeys that had been locked there, rather than a place to experint on Project Ape.

Planet Gadi was not like that, it was incredibly diverse. From Kael’s perspective, it would seem like the ancient monkeys had picked Planet Gadi especially to use for their Project Ape experints.

When Kael was directly above the city, he saw what was happening in clearer detail. With a casual thought, he invaded the minds of thousands of individuals.

Soon, he got the gist of what was happening.

When Ruda was growing up, she had been involved with a street gang called the Tardy Boyz.

After the system awakened, Ruda committed to the World Conquering Initiative and knew what to do even though she had been a little confused.

Among the mories that Ruda got was the thod of removing Devolution Seeds. Ruda was not a Magus, she could not do it, and even if she could, she did not have the power level needed to pull out a Devolution Seed from anyone and still love them alive.

However, she could tamper with the Devolution Seed and alter the workings of how it operated a little, making it malfunction.

All she needed to do was send them a referral request, the old way.

This was similar to what Ralph had when he was first found. Sothing like a werewolf.

That was the sa thing Ruda had begun to do, except on a much larger scale.

Once Ruda sent a referral request, the system, with how strong it had gotten at this point, could sowhat alter the workings of the Devolution Seeds.

She started recruiting people into her gang, altering them so that they could awaken the true beast within and unlock their powers.

For five years, the group grew, going from a small-ti street gang to a full-blown national syndicate with most of its operations happening in the city of Landan.

Ruda had divided her World Conquering Initiative into three phases, the recruitnt, the infiltration, and the takeover.

The recruitnt was the phase that never stopped. Word of a group that gave mysterious powers spread far and wide and a lot of people got curious.

Once soone was curious, that was the end, they would inevitably go down a hole that would make them get noticed.

Of course, so resisted the rise of this mysterious superpowered syndicate, most of whom claid that being human was sacred and holy.

The main resistance ca from politicians, religious groups, and other cri syndicates.

This was where the second phase, infiltration, ca in.

Ruda, as dominant as she was and with the heart of an oppressor, could play politics like it was nothing.

Those with superpowers, who were called Awakened, would infiltrate every part of society with as little noise as they could.

They worked in companies, owned companies, entered governnt institutions, managed banks, built hotels, worked on construction sites, and even worked in hospitals.

The only places they had difficulty infiltrating were the intelligence agencies and the military which apparently started working together and also so of the extremist religious groups.

And because Ruda was aware of the Avatar Evolution that was coming, she wanted to achieve a lot before that ti and ended up starting the Takeover phase earlier than usual.

The Takeover itself didn’t fail, but it didn’t succeed. It created a stalemate that eventually erupted into this national apocalypse that was also quickly spreading to other countries like a plague.

’That’s fine...’ Kael said, it was okay that Ruda didn’t conquer the world on ti.

Kael was not bothered about this as sothing peculiar had caught his attention. He had finally locked down and analysed that familiar feeling he had earlier.

It turned out that he was sensing his fellow Primordials. Not one, not two, not three, but a whole bunch of Primordials were on this planet, probably more than a hundred.

Kael had to pause his movents as he frowned, deeply disturbed.

’How?’
