Chapter 778: Chapter 778: Be My Consort...
Original Heaven, the observation lake.
This lake was a monopolized property of the lions and was held as a prized possession.
Currently, Kael was sitting down cross-legged at the shore of this observation lake on a simple straw mat.
With beings who could crush planets and monsters who could swallow the skies around him, this simple and very fragile straw mat really helped remind Kael of his roots.
This mat was not so kind of hidden treasure that looked ordinary but was actually very durable or had so special properties.
It was a very ordinary mat that Kael had woven himself.
A lion king weaving mats? Unheard of.
But Kael did it because he needed a simple and comfortable place to not only think properly but also plan out his sches and ditate.
This lake was usually quiet most days.
So immortal lions would fly over on so occasions to observe so things happening in the mortalverse but aside from that, they rarely approached the shore that had been given to the All-King.
After two years, nearly every lion, immortal or not, had been added to the lion system.
Now, because the world of Original Heaven was way more brutal to mortals, it was hard to estimate the numbers that had joined.
Kael could see five hundred thousand joined today and see six hundred thousand dead the next week.
It was that bad.
Only Immortals or privileged mortals could have it easy. After all, even the smallest squabbles between immortals were certain to cause the passing by mortals unwanted disasters.
Immortals and mortals were not ant to be living so close to each other like they were in Original Heaven.
But that was not Kael’s concern for the mont.
He was more interested in the tier 7 lions and immortal lions, the rest, he didn’t put in his eyes.
Perhaps if they were in the mortalverse, he could seriously consider the contribution of the tier 6 and below, but the Original Heaven made these lions look like ants stuck in a jar.
Knowing that all the immortals had joined, gladdened Kael. The number of tier 7 lions was close to if not more than two hundred thousand.
Such a force would be highly significant anywhere but the Original Heaven.
For now, he was biding his ti and making those tiny little adjustnts all over his Hegemony with an end goal in mind.
Today, Kael sat on the simple straw mat, cross-legged, and absorbing the light from the nonexistent sun of this heavenly realm.
His eyes were closed, his plans were resting on his knees. He took a deep breath.
The strength of Kael’s inhale should have been enough to suck all the air in the surrounding kilotres, but nothing happened.
Only a slight shift in the wind.
And then, suddenly, Kael opened his eyes.
*SWISH!*
A flash of gold erupted from him and shot straight into the lake.
The water was cleaved into two parts by a massive blade.
Kael’s glowing eyes observed calmly. He didn’t do that for nothing. He was testing his theories.
Also, he had just received crucial information from one of his clones.
"You’re getting better," The sweet voice of a woman resounded from Kael’s right, briefly interrupting his thoughts.
Kael didn’t need to look to know who it was.
"Daniella, I thought you wouldn’t co after our last discussion," Kael said.
His voice was still as deep, majestic, and as magnetic as it had always been.
Kael removed one of his hands from his knees and made a grabbing motion.
All the Conquering Essence that had been used just now was recalled.
Beside him, a tall woman with blonde hair tied in a ponytail and wearing cute gold-rimd glasses, stood with an attire that was a mix of styles between a maid and a nun, heavy on the black and white colour.
Daniella looked at Kael with a thin smile, "You asked
to be your consort, I simply refrained from replying.
That didn’t an I would not talk to you again," She said.
"Hmm," Kael nodded, then closed his eyes again, choosing not to make Daniella the focus of this mont as he just wanted to analyze the giants that his clones had made as well as the progress of his Primordial Subordinates.
Daniella looked closely at Kael, observing the side of his face, his golden locks of hair, and the faint glints that escaped from the gap between his eyelids.
He was magnificent.
This image of Kael overlapped with the image of his true golden lion form.
That was the fra that held the main heaviness.
The way Kael was acting now, sowhat nonchalant and sowhat interesting, got her confused.
"The last ti I ca, I just didn’t expect our discussion to end that way.
It made
wonder if the only reason you asked for
to be your attendant here was so that you could warm your way into making
feel sothing for you..."
Kael scoffed. He held back his laughter and maintained his straight face.
For soone who had a skewed sense of humour and hardly laughed at anything, what Daniella said was truly very funny to him.
Worm his way into her heart? Seriously?
"You think too much, Daniella," Kael muttered, still keeping his eyes closed.
"When I asked for you to co here, it was because I rembered how welcoming you were to .
I have co to recognize your usefulness, strength, and charm in certain areas. That is why I considered asking you to be my consort.
Not because I wanted it from the start..."
’I wouldn’t even give a second glance your way if I didn’t get to know you better,’ Kael thought to himself but kept the thought to himself.
"Oh," Daniella’s mouth ford an O.
"You have been thinking since the last ti we t, have you not?" Kael asked.
Daniella raised her eyebrow, "You’ve been aware of the strength difference between you and , have you not?" she shot back.
Kael did not answer, he would discuss it with her later.
The clone had just confird the completion of the Freedom Formula needed to leave the Original Heaven.
