Chapter 589: Chapter 589: The Becoming

"Wait wait wait!" Louis shouted telepathically.

He couldn’t take the bondage anymore, his mind was fragnting and he truly felt as if he didn’t find a way to get out of this bondage, he would truly go insane.

Kael paused and turned to look at Katari and the squirming Primordial Rat on her shoulder.

"What?" Kael asked.

"Please, release , I’m dying!" The Primordial Rat pleaded with telepathy.

Seeing that Kael was curious, Katari didn’t do anything and just stood there.

The heavenly gate was fully ford and floating in front of them. Louis’s eyes widened in horror. Was that not the sa portal that those Lion tyrants ca in whenever they wanted to collect tribute slaves?

"You won’t die," Kael said, "Not unless I kill you first," He added.

The Law Rejection could not kill Louis, only cause him extre discomfort.

Louis didn’t understand that being bound on Katari’s shoulder ant that he was in one of the safest positions ever.

Surely, the only reason Louis would die now is if Kael killed him himself.

"Are you begging for your life?" Kael asked.

Louis shook his head, "No," He responded telepathically with hurry, "Just free ! Please, I need to be free!"

The feeling he felt on his insides was so disgusting and vile that he wanted to vomit and faint at the sa ti. He instinctively knew that the only way to get back to his right state of mind where he was in the correct frequency with his law was when he freed himself.

"Wouldn’t you do anything for your freedom?" Kael asked with a cunning smile.

"..." The Primordial Rat didn’t answer. Kael was implying that he signed over his freedom forever to be free right now.

It was despicable.

"May I remind you, Primordial Rat, that not only will I free you after you sign this contract.

I will also offer you a form of protection against the Cats who would soon be coming for your life.

Not only that, the rats of this planet will be montarily free from bondage.

However, if you refuse, I’ll just take you back to heaven to experint on you before killing you.

I can wait a few more thousand to a million years, heavens willing, for another Primordial Rat."

Kael talked slowly, making sure that the Primordial Rat understood everything.

His spirit sense had wrapped around Louis’s mind but he had discovered that there was an innate force protecting the mind of the Primordial Rat, preventing Kael from forcefully turning him into a willing subordinate.

If the Primordial Rat was to submit to anyone, he must do it with a pure heart and with utter clarity.

"So what do you say?" Kael asked as he shifted ever so slowly toward the waiting portal.

"Fine!" Louis shouted, feeling that he needed to do everything to get rid of this Law Rejection.

Kael sighed victoriously. He watched as the pages of the Primordial Contract were filled with identity marks to signify the addition of a new mber to the League of Primordials.

Leonine Heaven.

The heavenly gate remained open for a few seconds with a few lion kings hovering not too far from it.

They waited for the arrival of the All-King with calm expressions.

They wondered what was keeping the All-King so long. They had opened the heavenly gate more than ten minutes ago and yet, the All-King had not yet arrived.

"Did sothing happen?" One of the lion kings asked, his eyes flashing with green electricity as he prepared to charge into the portal for a fight.

Before anyone could answer, the portal fluctuated, signalling the presence of multiple powerful figures.

Soon enough, Kael, Katari, and N’bayé walked out of the portal with different expressions on their faces.

"...and your ranking should have increased significantly," Kael was talking to N’bayé

"You are now at the top," he added.

N’bayé nodded, "I was just testing my calculative capabilities. There are still many more tests that I need to do for different things."

"I see," Kael said. So Katari was just hunting Primordials so that she could have safe spaces to test her theories and technologies?

Kael neither complinted her, nor did he chastised her. As long as her actions helped her get strained also helped him acquire more Primordials, then he would tolerate it.

"All-King, were you successful?" One of the few lion kings who were waiting for Kael asked as the others greeted.

This Lion King was one of the elder mbers of the Shadow Tyranny Coalition and had been very interested in Kael’s growth since the ti he joined the lion system.

"Hmm," Kael nodded, that was his answer.

"Your Majesty," Katari suddenly spoke. She was no longer holding the Primordial Rat on her shoulder.

Instead, the Primordial Rat had been left behind on that world.

Since he had submitted, there was no need to bring him over into heaven anymore.

Besides, his presence would seriously taint the integrity of heaven. Kael didn’t want that.

"I know, Zabita and Olivia," Kael answered knowingly. Katari was just trying to look out for him.

"From now on, be on the watch out for any movent coming from the cats and rats," Kael said to the lion kings.

"Besides, the Cats are rumored to have played a hand in Noel’s death. It’s high ti we investigate seriously and let the sons pay for the sins of their fathers."

The lion kings looked at each other, wondering what had caused Kael to suddenly make this request. However, they did not protest.

They imdiately began to communicate on the public forums and many private chats across the network of the Lion system.

One noticeable thing that was also not noticeable was how the lions who joined Kael’s system seed to be more agreeable to his requests.

It looked as if they would agree with Kael and Kael would agree with them, as though they could never be wrong.

It was not mind control through the system, rather, it was just a simple alignnt of intent.

The Conqueror’s Intent.

It was a phrase that had been thrown about in the public forums but few were starting to understand what it actually ant.

From the perspective of an outsider observing the happenings of the lion race, it seed as if the thoughts and wills of the lions were starting to resonate with the will of the Primordial Lion.

If only Kael’s enemies knew what was truly happening, they would be frightened.

A Primordial could sacrifice himself to create his race. That was the natural cycle of the universe.

A Primordial would be born every once in a while and would lead his or her race to prosperity and to fulfill the purpose of their affiliated race.

Such was the eternal dance the universe had forced everyone to perform.

But never, or at least, it had never been known that a Primordial would do what Kael was doing.

There were no known Primordials who beca their race...

Kael wasn’t just resonating with the lion’s thought process, no, he was becoming their thought process.

He was becoming the lion’s intent. He was becoming the lion’s. He was becoming the lion race.

It was a very subtle thing that many would ignore.

And they would ignore it as most had never seen sothing like this.

Kael’s Conqueror’s Intent spread through the lion system, infiltrating the minds of all the lions and lionesses who had their identity marks entrusted to him.

And the reverse happened, the will and intent of the lions was ever so slowly, so slow that a bacterium was millions of tis faster than this.

The intent of the lions and lionesses was slowly integrating into Kael’s thoughts.

Kael was aware of this happening and he had already embraced it.

He knew.

He would lose himself sooner or later.

The Kael that got reincarnated is not the sa Kael that would soon appear.

He would beco the lions and the lions would beco him.

He would still be Kael, but Kael would not be the sa. Kael may not be him.

All those who have great ambitions must prepare their minds for the great sacrifices they must make in order to reach their goal.

Only the individual willing to make the greatest sacrifice will be able to reach the highest peak.

Kael had conquered himself, and now, he was slowly sacrificing it for power.

Would he still be alive and ntally able to differentiate between himself and others? Kael had no idea.

All Kael knew was that he would not hesitate to do whatever it takes to avoid the sa fate the previous Primordials experienced.

They died and he lives today. If he does today, another Primordial would take his place in the future.

Kael did not want to be another historical figure.

He did not want to beco one of the many legends.

No.

Kael, the All-King, didn’t just want to reign supre.

He wanted to reign supre forever.

And for that to be possible, sacrifices must be made.
